By: Adam & Dedra

We live for craft beer and food.We are Adam and Dedra! We're on a mission to find the best craft beer and the most ridiculously delicious food we can get our hands on. Based in Arizona, but powered by hops and road trips, we will go wherever the beer flows and the plates are full.Expect brewery and food reviews, beer-fueled banter, and probably a few questionable decisions (like that time Adam tried a 18.5% barrel aged stout on an empty stomach). Whether it's a tiny taproom in the desert or a big-name brewery in the Pacific Northwest, if it p...

Kitsune Brewing & Lovecraft: Phoenix Beer and a Messy Burger
#27

Episode 27 - We finally made it to Kitsune Brewing Company in Phoenix, Arizona, and discovered a New Mexican-inspired restaurant called Lovecraft that might have served us one of the messiest burgers we've ever eaten.

But first, we're opening Very Jalagreeño from Tree House Brewing Company, an 8.6% double IPA brewed with jalapeños. Dedra's a little concerned about the potential heat, but this beer has a few surprises in store.

Our first featured destination is Kitsune Brewing, a Japanese-inspired craft brewery we've been trying to visit since a previous New Year's Day adventure left us st...

Italy Craft Beer Hunt: Tuscany, Verona & Our Best Pizza Yet
#26
10/22/2026

Episode 26 - When you think about traveling to Italy, craft beer probably isn't the first thing that comes to mind. Wine, pasta, pizza, and historic cities? Absolutely. But finding a great Italian IPA? That's where our adventure gets interesting.

We're taking you along on our weeklong journey through Tuscany, Verona, and Lake Garda, where we discovered incredible food, local breweries, and a drinking culture that was quite different from what we're used to in Arizona.

We start things off with Lunchbox Legend from More Brewing Company, a 7.5% peanut butter and jelly-inspired sour ale. Adam thinks...

Oktoberfest in Munich: Giant Beers, Beer Tents & Train Chaos
#25
10/15/2026

Episode 25 - Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany! Giant beers, traditional German food, massive beer tents, and a train system that nearly defeated us before we even got started.

After a few weeks away from the microphones, we're back and ready to share some stories from our European adventure.

This time, we're taking you to Munich for Oktoberfest, where we discovered that a liter of German beer is no joke, the beer tents are practically the size of warehouses, and apparently Germans love singing "Sweet Caroline" just as much as Americans do.

But Oktoberfest wasn't...

Sleepy Whale Phoenix: Hazy IPAs, Smoked Wings & Craft Beer
#24
09/10/2026

Episode 24 - Sleepy Whale’s Phoenix location gave us a new place to work through a ridiculous amount of craft beer without having to make the trek all the way across the Valley.

We start this episode with a strawberry and rhubarb crumble Berliner-style Weisse from Energy City Brewing. At first, rhubarb seemed like the dominant flavor. Then the beer warmed up and Dedra decided it tasted like strawberry applesauce. Strangely enough, Adam couldn't completely disagree. Apparently alcoholic applesauce is a thing now.

From there, we recap our visit to Sleepy Whale near Central and Ca...

PoNy’s Miches + Tap Savvy: The Perfect Beer & Ceviche Day
#23
09/03/2026

Episode 23 - Fresh ceviche, fried mahi-mahi, French fries hidden inside a burrito and a tap list ranging from Mexican lager to a 14.2% barrel-aged stout. This week's adventure only required two stops.

We started at PoNy’s Miches, where Dedra grabbed ceviche while Adam committed to a massive Cali-style Baja burrito with fried mahi-mahi. From there, we carried everything over to Tap Savvy in Litchfield Park, one of the West Valley taprooms we have been visiting for years.

The food quickly turned into an accidental beer-pairing experiment. Dedra paired her ceviche with Cerveza Original De Tombstone, wh...

Phantom Fox, a 13-Hour Downtown Mesa Beer Crawl, and Burritoholics...? OK!
#22
08/27/2026

Episode 22 - A birthday celebration, a willing designated driver and a loose plan to explore the east side of Phoenix somehow turned into a roughly 13-hour craft beer and food crawl, with Phantom Fox in Downtown Mesa becoming the featured brewery along the way.

We start this episode with Sky Riot from Original 40, a double dry hopped West Coast IPA we picked up during our recent San Diego trip, then get into a day where we intentionally stopped trying to document every beer and simply enjoyed ourselves.

That plan worked. Maybe a little too well.<...

The Theodore to Sana Sana: Our Downtown Phoenix Beer Crawl
#21
08/21/2026

Episode 21 - Roosevelt Row in downtown Phoenix has become one of those places we can visit repeatedly without ever having exactly the same experience... and this trip brought some seriously good beer and an unexpected amount of Mexican food.

We start at The Theodore, where Adam finds two 10% triple hazy IPAs worthy of a head-to-head comparison: one from Anchorage Brewing and Mis à Mort from Messorem. Meanwhile, Dedra works through two completely different Great Notion sours, starting with the light and refreshing Seedless before moving into Double Blueberry Marshmallow Shake territory.

From there, we head over t...

A Plethora of Beer From Ballast Point to Stone: Our San Diego Beer Road Trip
#20
08/13/2026

Episode 20 - A  search for breakfast and coffee in San Diego somehow became an entire day of breweries, sandwiches, strong IPAs, and one very important bottle pickup.

We start in Little Italy, where Dedra finds a parking spot directly in front of Ballast Point and immediately decides coffee can wait. Adam orders Watermelon Dorado Double IPA, Dedra switches her plans to a Michelada, and chips and guacamole officially become breakfast.

From there, we finally get the food we originally came for at Mona Lisa, where a Deluxe Sub piled with mortadella, salami, ham, provolone, and a...

North Park Beer Co, The Original 40, and the Best Sandwich We’ve Ever Had
#19
08/06/2026

Episode 19 - A one-hour post-festival nap, a first visit to San Diego’s North Park neighborhood, and the best sandwich Adam says he has ever eaten... this night escalated quickly.

We begin with Tamarack Track, a 7.5% black IPA from the Samuel Adams taproom in Boston. It was Dedra’s first experience with the style, and the dark appearance had her expecting something much heavier. Instead, we found a surprisingly easy-drinking beer with coffee, roasted malt, and caramel-like sweetness.

From there, we relive our late-night San Diego brewery run. At North Park Beer Co., Adam went stra...

Salty Toast Beer Fest: San Diego Pours, Filipino Food & Our Usual Chaos
#18
07/30/2026

Episode 18 - The Salty Toast Beer Fest brought us back to Broadway Pier in San Diego for an afternoon filled with waterfront views, breweries from across North America, Filipino food, and absolutely no realistic chance of remembering every beer name.

We opened the episode with Drekker Brewing Company’s Slang Du Jour – Bumbleberry Cobbler Sour à la Mode. Packed with blueberry, strawberry, blackberry, granola, cinnamon, and vanilla bean, it was thick, sweet, and much closer to liquid dessert than a traditional face-puckering sour.

At Salty Toast, we started with a familiar Arizona brewery: Starfire Brewing. Their Bapti...

We Accidentally Found Our Future Retirement Home - Starfire Restaurant and Rooftop Brewery
#17
07/23/2026

Episode 17 - We visited one of the most unique breweries in Arizona: Starfire Restaurant and Rooftop Brewery in Tempe. Getting there required entering a gated retirement community, checking in at a guard shack, taking a golf cart through the property, riding an elevator from an underground parking garage, and hoping we had not accidentally signed ourselves up for assisted living.

Once inside, we found incredible rooftop views, an open kitchen, rotating small-batch beers, and a food menu that included a flavorful beer-braised beef burrito, crispy onion rings, salad, and ranch good enough to send Dedra into a...

Two Tempe Breweries, Giant Wings & Barrel-Aged Surprises - Hundred Mile & Catalyst
#16
07/16/2026

Episode 16 - We crossed the Phoenix Valley for a Friday afternoon brewery adventure at Hundred Mile Brewing Company and Catalyst Crafted Ales, and apparently decided that starting with a 12% triple hazy IPA on an empty stomach was a perfectly reasonable idea.

At Hundred Mile Brewing Company, we tried the Blood Hawk triple hazy IPA, West Hawk American IPA, Desert Neon New England IPA, a peanut butter stout called Hey Buddy, and several other beers. We also ordered shrimp tacos featuring some controversial pineapple, the Mayor chips, and buffalo wings so enormous that we have questions about the...

Surprise Beer Crawl: O.H.S.O., Head Right Brewing, Manny’s Place & Pizza
#15
07/09/2026

Episode 15 - We kicked off a full West Valley beer day with breakfast beers at O.H.S.O. Surprise, including penny pours, crispy potatoes, and one breakfast sandwich that Dedra may never emotionally recover from. From there, we checked out the brand-new Head Right Brewing in Surprise, a massive hidden brewery with big potential, classic beer styles, a food truck, and a little Weller bourbon redemption.

After that, we stopped at one of our favorite tap houses, Manny’s Place, where we accidentally brought brewery-crawl energy into what may have been a silent reading event. Then we...

#14
07/02/2026

Episode 14 - We’re wrapping up our Boston trip with one last brewery stop, and this one deserves way more time than we gave it. In this episode of The Adam & Dedra Show, we visit Night Shift Brewing in Boston after a full day in Salem, squeeze in a couple beers before closing, take in a beautiful waterfront sunset, and somehow end the night with Italian food so good it makes Dedra angry.

We kick things off with Lunch from Maine Beer Company, a smooth and dangerously easy-drinking 7% IPA, before diving into our quick stop at Night Sh...

Salem Beer Crawl: Notch Brewing, East Regiment & A Witchside Tavern
#13
06/25/2026

Episode 13 could not have worked out better if we planned it... because this time, we’re taking the show to Salem, Massachusetts. That’s right: our spooky-numbered episode just happened to be about witches, Hocus Pocus filming locations, old New England buildings, tourist shops, breweries, chowda, fried shrimp, and one very dark beer that looked like it came straight out of an oil pan.

In this episode of The Adam & Dedra Show, we recap our day trip from Boston to Salem, including stops at Notch Brewing, East Regiment Beer Company, Witch Side Tavern, and Dire Wolf Tavern. We t...

Trillium Visit, Then We Chased Tree House Beer in Boston… and Ended Up at a Kiosk
#12
06/18/2026

Episode 12 - In this episode of The Adam & Dedra Show, we’re taking the Boston beer adventure back to Massachusetts with a trip to Trillium Brewing, a surprise Tree House Brewing beer garden, and one dangerously smooth 10.7% quadruple IPA: Tree House Haze Infinite. We break down the hazy IPAs, porters, barrel-aged stout temptation, brewery food, and the chaos of trying to experience Tree House without actually making it to the brewery.

We also dive into our Boston food stops, including Trillium’s empanadas and Asian spare ribs, a massive crab and shrimp BLT from Faneuil Hall, live musi...

#11
06/11/2026

Episode 11 - Adam and Dedra take The Adam & Dedra Show to Boston, Massachusetts for a craft beer-filled visit to Sam Adams and the Boston Beer Company brewery in Jamaica Plain. In this episode, they recap their stop at the Sam Adams Downtown Taproom, their behind-the-scenes R&D brewery tour, exclusive small-batch beers, a barrel-aged Boston Lager they still can’t stop thinking about, and the dangerous featured beer of the episode: Beer Zombies 16oz Love Letters West Coast Triple IPA.

Along the way, they talk Boston food, rainy weather, late-night pizza at 21st Amendment, getting skunked at Ch...

Arizona Wilderness Pregame: Hazy IPAs, Surprising Barrel Aged Program & Episode 10 Chaos
#10
06/04/2026

Episode 10 - In this milestone 10th episode of The Adam and Dedra Show, we head back to one of our favorite downtown Phoenix spots, Arizona Wilderness Brewing Co. on Roosevelt Row. We stopped in before a Diamondbacks game for a little pregame action, which of course meant hazy IPAs, food, laughs, and Adam using “due diligence” as an excuse to order a full flight of specialty barrel-aged beers.

We kicked things off with Mini Super from Societe Brewing Company out of San Diego, then dove into our Arizona Wilderness visit, including Every Day is Earth Day, Death to I...

#8
05/21/2026

In this episode of The Adam and Dedra Show, we take a very worthwhile road trip across the Valley to visit Bone Haus Brewing in Fountain Hills, Arizona... a brewery packed with killer beers, amazing views, spooky pirate-skeleton vibes, and one dangerously competitive scavenger hunt.

We talk through our favorite beers from the visit, including hazies, West Coast IPAs, stouts, prickly pear ales, and the standout Octavo Año collaboration with Wren House. Plus, we kic...

The Wandering Tortoise Sour Fest: 15 Beers, Ceviche, Poke Banh Mi & One Giant Straw
#7
05/14/2026

Episode 7 -  We hit The Wandering Tortoise in Phoenix for their Sour Fest, and things got deliciously out of control. Between smoothie sours, hazy IPA palate cleansers, Nelson’s Fish Market ceviche, a poke banh mi sandwich, and Dedra freezing in perfect Arizona weather, this episode had everything we love: craft beer, great food, questionable decisions, and plenty of laughs.

Before diving into the beer lineup, we stopped by Nelson’s Fish Market next door for their Peruvian-style ceviche and a poke banh mi that almost ruined our drinking day in the best way possible. Then it was of...

An 8% Dinosaur Beer, Brunch, and Brewery Hopping
#6
05/07/2026

Episode 6 - Prolific Brewing, Brunch House, and the Sonorosaurus Situation

In this episode of The Adam and Dedra Show, we crack open Sonorosaurus from Wren House Brewing, a double dry-hopped double IPA that comes in at 8% but drinks way smoother than it probably should.

We also recap our trip out to the Temecula, including a stop at Prolific Brewing Company, where we found a small industrial-style taproom, great beer, quality merch, and one of those back areas where you’re not totally sure if you’re allowed to walk through... but you do it anyway with...

We talk about the cozy setup, the outdoor patio, the beers we tried, and why this spot keeps pulling us back every time we’re in town.

We also crack open a Monkish hazy called Water Balloon Fight Club, which immediately reminds us why Monkish is one of our favorite breweries for hazy IPAs. And as if great beer wasn’t enough, this epis...
