At first it may seem an odd Halloween choice, but Paul has his reason's, he'll explain with his voice... We are being sucked into the world of Jumanji and this classic childhood nostalgia trip introduces a few twists and turns, an elephant in...

Jack's been waiting a long time for both this theme and to talk about this film. The Empty Man has been occupying his mind for a long time and he just needs some willing vessel to pour all of his metaphysical thoughts into...

We're all just Mummy's boys at heart and so we've decided to let our Mums pick our films for this theme. The three most important ladies in our life have been tasked with choosing a film that they associate with us and explain why they think that. We'll see if mother really does know best!

Paul's Mum has went for The Karate Kid. Another icon of cinema that is ingrained in the fabric of pop culture. It so endeared an audience that it has spawned a wildly successful spin-off Netflix show. But Miyagi's teaching philosophy has also...

What's in a name? So many great characters have the most amazing name, but Paul has one simple challenge. Pick a film where the protagonist shares your name. Ok... Maybe this was more easy for Paul and Jack than it was for Des.

Jack had an absolute smorgasbord of characters he could choose... but it was high time to do a deep dive into a movie that has been mentioned time and again on the pod. Last Action Hero! Is this Arnie's best flick? Jack definitely thinks "maybe". The FUDs get super meta with their film within...

Derek did not have many options but has still managed to zero in on pop culture classic Zoolander. The FUD's immerse themselves in the world of male models and espionage as Ben Stiller blue steel's his way through every scene. It's a fun fashionable romp but Paul is raging when Des tells him what...

Paul has went blockbuster big with his pick! Paul Atreides... Duke or Arrakis. We'll be watching Dune (not the David Lynch one) and we'll be seeking some of the spice of life with a franchise that potentially could be the next generational trilogy after Lord of The Rings and Star Wars! Let's find out...

Jack feels that some films just come out at the wrong place and time. They're overlooked or overshadowed by a similar film released weeks apart or maybe they get a more successful remake... maybe they even get a TV series. It almost feels like you need an excuse to watch these films when the "superior" version exists... Or something like that. Ask Jack for more details... we're doing overshadowed films.

Paul takes us back into world cinema with Hong Kong classic Infernal Affairs... overshadowed simply because there is a big budget, almost shot for shot Hollywood remake...

There are many iconic trilogies for films. Star Wars, Lord of The Rings... The Cornetto Trilogy. But there are just as many flicks in cinema history where three characters in particular form a clear trinity within their narrative. So Des has challenged us as a trio of FUD's to pick out films that include A Cinematic Trio

Caving to invisible and totally imagined peer pressure... Paul has continued the meta theme of films with "Three" in the title with Three Kings. In a shocking turn of events... Jack doesn't quite get the rules of engagement for war...
