Chasing K-Dramas

Welcome to YOUR Korean podcast drama!

Sarangees! We’re back with Unnies React, and this time, we’re reacting to the hilarious and quirky Make Me Tingle! This drama is a breath of fresh air and it GOES there. We’re loving our female lead, the innocent and conservative Yeon-su, played by Nam Ji-hyun,  as she learns about relationships and intimacy with her gruff boss, Dokgo Dal, played by Kim Jae-yeong.  What a name! The first two episodes had us gasping for air as we saw these toys being waved around everywhere, including actually hitting Yeon-su’s grandpa in...

Sarangees! Your favorite unnies are back with Episode 9 of Crash Landing on You, and the tale of endless goodbyes continues. We learn that Se-ri was NOT shot by her kidnappers. In fact, she’s been stowed away in the attic at Jeong-hyeok’s family home!

Welcome to YOUR Korean drama podcast!

Hello Sarangees! Today we're diving into Episode 8 of Crash Landing on You, and y'all, this one is an emotional ROLLERCOASTER. It's swoony, it's sad, it's hilarious, AND it ends on a cliffhanger that had us screaming at the screen.

Seo Dan confronts Jeong-hyeok with the article about Se-ri, and we finally learn why he's so set on protecting her. Baby Scammer tells Se-ri that if she really cares about Jeong-hyeok, she needs to disappear. Then he pulls a ring out of NOWHERE and proposes. WHAT?! Jeong-hyeok fights his way...

Welcome to YOUR Korean podcast drama!

Sarangees! We’re reacting to the final episodes of The Scandal — and spoiler alert: there is NO happy ending. This story promised us lust, seduction, and betrayal… and instead delivered a full-blown Greek tragedy, where every one of our main characters pays the price for their bad behavior.

Cho Won finally confronts Lady Cho for toying with his feelings all these years, when he was desperately in love with her the ENTIRE time. Then Hui-yeon confronts Cho Won when she realizes his heart belonged to Lady Cho all along, and he...

Welcome to YOUR Korean drama podcast!

Welcome back Sarangees! It’s time to chase episode 7 of Crash Landing on You, and y’all, this episode had EVERYTHING. Car chases, blood transfusions, a thunderstorm, and the kiss we've ALL been waiting for.

Jeong-hyeok passes out from his gunshot wound, so Se-ri takes the wheel. Then Se-ri has to choose between catching her flight home and giving Jeong-hyeok the blood he needs to survive. The plane leaves without her and when Jeong-hyeok wakes up, he's FURIOUS that she stayed. But one thunderstorm later, he finds her crying in th...

Welcome to YOUR Korean podcast drama!

Hello Sarangees! We're back with episodes 5 and 6 of The Scandal, and the series still confuses us. SOOO many letters are being sent, and we can’t keep track of what’s happening! The saving grace is the entire cast's acting prowess. Ji Chang Wook especially shines in these episodes, continuing to seduce the widow. Is he playing a game or is he actually starting to fall for her? We were also impressed with So-ok, even though we found the scenes with her and Cho Won random and unnecessary. We’re curious to see...

Welcome to YOUR Korean drama podcast!

Hello Sarangees! We’re BACK with Episode 6 of Crash Landing on You, and y’all, this episode was absolutely insane!! It was heartwarming, heartbreaking, AND action-packed. It felt so climactic that we thought we'd skipped ahead to episode 14 or 15!

It's Jeong-hyeok's turn to get jealous and super protective, and he does NOT hold back when Baby Scammer pulls Se-ri into the elevator. Seo Dan confronts the couple right outside their hotel rooms, then drags Jeong-hyeok to a family dinner that night, and by the end of dinner, there's a wedd...

Welcome to YOUR Korean podcast drama!

Sarangees! We’re reacting to episodes 3 and 4 of The Scandal, and we have some thoughts. This show is visually stunning, and we’re seeing some brilliant acting from our leads, Son Ye-jin and Ji Chang-wook, but we find the story and the direction are confusing and uneven at times. We’ll see how the rest of the episodes pan out! Please share your thoughts below!

Sarangees! We’re BACK with episode 5 of CLOY, and OMG, Se-ri’s fallen hard for her North Korean man. We’re also falling hard too. That swoony campfire scene by the train?!? ::SWOON::

We pick up where Jeong-hyeok finds Se-ri in the marketplace with the scented candle, and then they turn the corner to find Seo Dan waiting on his doorstep. OMO OMO! Jeong-hyeok stumbles through, explaining who Se-ri is, but Seo Dan does not care AT ALL. He drives Dan back to Pyongyang and gets roped into dinner with h...

Hello Sarangees! We’re back chasing the swooniest drama ever! This week, episode 4 of CLOY gets crazy with hijinks when Se-ri realizes that she may be stuck in North Korea for longer!

Picking up right where we left off, Se-ri and Jeong-hyeok get caught kissing by the coast guard, only for her ride home to sail off without her. Furious and desperate, Se-ri tries to paraglide back to South Korea, which leads to one of the show's sweetest (or cheesiest) moments yet. And don't worry, we'll discuss! Back in th...

Welcome to YOUR Korean podcast drama!

Sarangees! Unnies React is BACK with The Scandal, the sexy sageuk starring Son Ye-jin, Ji Chang-wook, and Nana. Loosely based on the French novel Dangerous Liaisons by Laclos, this adaptation is set in Joseon Korea, where women were bound to strict Confucian values. Noblewoman Lady Cho challenges playboy Cho Won to a dangerous game: seduce the virtuous widow Ahn Hui-yeon. If he wins, Lady Cho will sleep with him and if he loses, he has to seduce her concubine, So-ok. It's nothing like the dramas we've chased in the past, so...

Welcome to YOUR Korean drama podcast!

We're back with episode 2 of Crash Landing on You, and like our heroine Se-ri, we are FULLY IN North Korea now. Who knew it could be this cute and homey?! It's so charming we have to keep reminding ourselves: this is fiction, and we are talking about North Korea. 🫠🫠🫠

After Jeong-hyeok pulls Se-ri to safety, he has no choice but to hide her in his home. She meets the members of Company 5, and together they plot her way back to South Korea. We get our first real look at daily life...

Today's the day, Sarangees! It's time for our sixth drama chase: Crash Landing on You! 🌪️🪂💥❤️ We're fully ready to paraglide into North Korea with our heroine Se-ri so she can find her Jeong-hyeok!

First up, we get into why we chose CLOY and why it took us SO long to rewatch it.

Then we meet Yoon Se-ri, chaebol CEO of Se-ri's Choice, and step into her world. Her father, chairman of Queens Group (same name, different family from Queen of Tears!), names her his successor, much to the chagrin of...

Hello Sarangees! We’re saying our goodbyes to our FIFTH drama chase The Glory!

This drama was truly a masterpiece of storytelling and had us emotionally invested from the beginning. Welcome to YOUR Korean drama podcast!!

Sarangees! We're three episodes from the finale, and Episode 13 might be the biggest one yet. It builds and builds, and ends with an actual fire.

We pick up in the aftermath of Dong-eun's public takedown of Sa-ra and Yeon-jin, and the fallout comes fast. Yeon-jin stays defiant and lies straight to Do-young's lawyers, while Sa-ra, all fury and no strategy, screams her way into a jail c...

Meanwhile the bullies start turning on Yeon-jin over So-hee's mysterious death, which, yes, we a...

Sarangees! The time has come to bid farewell to our favorite couple ever, Seo-ri and Se-gye (tear!). These final two episodes did NOT let us down… the writers gave us the happy ending we needed!

In episode 13, we FINALLY find out how Seo-ri and Dan-shim's souls switched, Se-gye and Telemundo continue their showdown, and we sit through the longest death montage ever for Seo-ri's halmoni. Then we end on the craziest cliffhanger: Se-gye gets stabbed TWICE, all because his grandfather had to go and kidnap Telemundo's son! It's nuts!

So many things happened, and just when you thought things couldn't get crazier, they do. Happy World Cup (and THE KNICKS WON), Sarangees! We're back with our reactions to episodes 11 and 12 of My Royal Nemesis, and y'all, we have to be honest…it was confusing. Chrissy was confused. Dulcé was confused. We share our theories on what we THINK happened with the Seo-ri/Dan-shim soul switch, so please let us know if we got anything wrong and drop your own theories below!

As Se-gye reels from the discovery, the couple makes it official… but Seo-ri is still holding back from opening up completely. Sarangees, we are BACK with another Unnies React — and this time, we're diving into My Royal Nemesis! This drama had us in a chokehold from the start, so honestly, we HAD TO COVER IT! We are absolutely obsessed with our leads: the endlessly talented Lim Ji-yeon as Shin Seo-ri (seriously, is there anything this woman can't do?!) and the very, very attractive Heo Nam-jun as Cha Se-gye. This time-traveling fantasy is pure comedy gold, but don't be fooled — it will also have you squealing one second and tearing up the next. We s...

We're back with reactions to the Perfect Crown finale, AND WE HAVE THOUGHTS. These last episodes felt rushed and disjointed. The show tried to cram a season's worth of payoff into too little runway, and 12 episodes was simply not enough room for the character development this story deserved. OK, deep breaths, here we go…

Hui-joo and Aide Choi save I-an from the deadly fire, and Hui-joo finally starts suspecting PM-nim — meanwhile he's already plotting to transfer I-an's regency to the Queen while our boy is still unconscious. The Queen conf...
