The VS Rewatch

Double dates are the theme of this weeks episode. Sookie ropes Lorelei into one with Jackson and his cousin, while Lane sets one up with Rory, Dean, and Dean's friend. Disasters all around, but while Sookie and Jackson finally land on common ground, Lane and Todd just don't have the same connection. Through it all, Lorelei and Luke continue to find and enjoy each other's company.

Just when Rory is getting used to the idea of her mom dating her teacher, Paris spots the two kissing in Mr. Medina's classroom and wastes no time spreading the gossip like wildfire. Paris's eventually owns up to her actions, but the damage is done; Max tells Lorelei that his job is on the line and that he thinks they should take a break.

After last episode's blowout, relationships between all three generations of Gilmore girls are strained. Dean eventually smooths things over between himself and Lorelei, but it takes a medical scare (and Luke) to bring the girls back together. 

It's Rory's first school dance! She asks Dean who eventually agrees, but Tristan is showing a more serious interest in her. While Rory wants nothing to do with Tristan, Paris continues her assault, not believing that Rory could actually not like him back.

At the dance, Rory and Dean share some dances but the night is seemingly spoiled by Tristan when he steps up to Dean and baits him into a shoving match. Rory and Dean take off from the dance, but they never seem to make it home that night...

Stars Hollow is snowed in, so Rory spends the night with her grandparents. Lorelai's night is a little more exciting when she invites a date to stay the night, only to be interrupted by a distraught Lane, who frantically tells Rory that she has been a ghost lately when Lane needs her the most.

Lorelai is hurt that Rory is hiding her budding relationship with Dean from her. On a whim, Lorelai invites him over for the girls' movie night. She finds time to lay it all out for Dean about what she expects from him if he is to pursue her daughter. Rory is a bundle of nerves all night, but in the end she and Dean share a special moment on the porch.

Rory's grandmother throws her a stuffy birthday party with her classmates that ends up creating a rift between Lorelai and Emily. When Grandma Emily shows up at a second party hosted at Lorelai's house, she ultimately realizes that she doesn't know her own daughter like she thought she did.

On the topic of potential love interests- Luke and Lorelai share a hug while Dean brings Rory a handmade birthday gift. The Gilmore girls are smitten.

We finally get a little movement on both Rory's and Lorelai's male interests; neither of which goes smoothly.

Rory receives the first "D" of her life and Paris refuses to let her live it down. After she and Lorelai stay up all night studying to try and rebound, Rory ends up missing her first important test at Chilton causing her (and Lorelai) to go postal.

While Lorelai pulls off an ornate double wedding ceremony at the inn, she struggles to accept Rory's newfound hobby of golfing with Richard. 

While Rory's first day at her new school nets her an enemy, Laurelai has quite the opposite encounter. Did we catch a glimpse of the first love triangle of the series?

We dive into a new series in The VS Rewatch, following the early plights of Gilmore Girls Lorelai and Rory. We're so excited to be watching this for the first time!

Being so new to the series we have yet to plot two characters against each other in true The VS Rewatch fashion. We already see some potential relationship triangles forming, though. Exciting episodes to come!

Korsakoff exists! Can Felicity get back to the future in time to save Noel?

Sean's plan to pursue a future with Julie doesn't pan out. Meghan makes it clear she isn't going to wait around for him. A sudden game of spin the bottle reveals Felicity's true feelings for Ben; not only to her, but to Noel as well.

Fugue Hanna crawls back in the picture and Felicity intervenes when she sees Hanna showing an active interest in Noel. Sean has kept in touch with Julie all these years and breaks it to Meghan that he wants to see where it could go. Felicity pivots back to pre-med and (of course) is in the same OChem class, which leads to her and Ben kissing?!

After a few cocktails, Meghan tries to help Felicity with a time travel spell. Meghan somehow succeeds and after some initial confusion it becomes clear to Felicity why she landed in this particular point in time. Felicity rushes the timing with Noel by ending things with Ben, but is this the fresh start that they needed to have a serious relationship? Speaking of stepping back in time, Richard and Meghan are once again the MVP's of the episode.

Ben and Felicity try their best to convince each other (and Mr. Porter) that they'll be together no matter what, only to eventually come to the realization that their future plans are just too far apart. But after a summer apart, everything seems to settle in exactly how we pictured it would :)

Lauren continues to drive a stake between Ben and Felicity. Noel's work fling has it's ups and downs. After a bad pitch, Sean learns the sledgehammer isn't always the best tool for the job. Felicity comes clean. And, of course- Meghan is the star of these episodes.

Ben sidelines Felicity in his newfound quest to be a part of his kid's life. He is so wrapped up in his future he doesn't stop to think of their future together. Felicity turns to her friendship with Noel for support and Ben spirals when he walks in on them hugging. Dear Ben- Things are not going to be fine, especially when you say they're going to be fine.

Ben breaks the baby news to his dad and is met with pressure to be an involved father. Pretty rich coming from a man who wasn't exactly the best father, himself. Felicity tags along but her and Ben seem to be coming to a crossroads in their relationship. Meanwhile, Noel is killin' it.

Just when everyone in the gang seems to be back on track before winter break, school is back in session and the drama is hot on it's heels. Ben gets hit with some serious news from Lauren, Felicity feuds with Babs, and Noel's lady situation takes a turn for the worse.. but then for the better..?

While not getting much camera time, Sean tries to derail Noel's comeback. Eventually they hug it out and promise each other that their friendship always comes first.

Ben on the other hand is working through actual life problems. He is struggling to balance his power of attorney responsibilities with what he knows is right. A romantic relationship is the last thing on his mind, but Felicity steps up and is truly there for him when he needs it the most.

We covered two episodes this week due to some technical difficulties last week.

Hints of the famed Ben-Felicity-Noel love triangle resurface. For a brief moment, Ben's distance and Noel's heroism seem to tip the scales in Noel's favor. Also- what the heck is Javier still doing at the apartment?!

It almost feels like we've gone back in time. Ben and Felicity can't work things out, Meghan is doing spells, and Javier breaks it off with Samuel.

So much time has passed, but everything still feels the same (well, except for Noel's bar bimbo burgle).

The fallout from Felicity and Noel's indiscretions pile on to an already overwhelming time of Ben's life. Eventually Ben is convinced to hear Felicity out and give her another chance. Meghan: the friend few of us have, but all of us deserve.

Felicity keeps hiding her and Noel's lie while she tackles the first hurdle of her financial independence. Meanwhile, Meghan's parents give her an ultimatum that will affect her for years to come.

As much as we love episode two's spotlight on Alena and Tracy, we are squeezing in two episodes this week so we can talk about Sean's long-standing money issues, Felicity's newly-founded money issues, and the ever-evolving love triangle between Felicity, Ben, and Noel.
