20 Years, 4 Beers
A show dedicated to re-watching classic films from two decades ago, while drinking a minimum of four modern beers. Two brothers sit down and discuss their memories of the film, review the beer, and make fun of each other a lot...as brothers do!
Episode 127 - "12 Monkeys"
1995 was a launching pad of a year for Brad Pitt, as evidenced by our last two films. First it was the classic "Se7en," and then an Oscar nominated turn in the Uber weird Terry Gilliam directed "12 Monkeys." While we may not have liked the film nearly as much as either of us remembered, 1995 will be remembered as a coming out party for Pitt.
Along with some new beers, and trivia, we hope you enjoy this episode more than we enjoyed the film. Thank you for your support, and be sure to find us at 20years4beers...
Episode 126 - "Se7en"
Another week, another episode NOT from 20 years ago! That's how we roll here on 20/4 baby!
On this week's episode we take a look back at the 30th anniversary of another all-time classic film from our youth (no bias to see here folks), and rewatch David Fincher's masterpiece "Se7en." Not for the faint of heart, the film holds up extremely well and is a prime example of 90's filmmaking at its finest.
Along with our newest love fest over a film, we enjoy some new beers from a love fest of a beer location in...
Episode 125 - "Apollo 13"
Here we come with banger after banger from the 90's, and after our rewatch of "Heat" we follow it up with a top-10 favorite film for at least one of us in Ron Howard's "Apollo 13." This isn't even an if you know you know type film, this is one of those movies that you NEED to know about. Apollo 13 represents what is great and truly magical about filmmaking.
Needless to say, you are in store for a love fest, but we also enjoy some new beers and trivia so we know that fans of the show will...
Episode 124 - "Heat"
We have finally made it to one of our favorite films of all-time... if "Seven" or "Fight Club" are movies for film bros, then 1995's "Heat" is a movie for film buffs. This film had more than just a little influence on our love of films, especially heist thrillers, and director Michael Mann deserves all of the love for it.
Once again we take a longer look back than 20 years, but as usual we still sit down and discuss it over four new beers, have a lot of laughs and a trivia round featuring A LOT of w...
Episode 123 - "Goodfellas"
Welcome back to 20 Years 4 Beers! After a (hopefully) brief hiatus from editing we have come back strong with another film from further back than 20 years and we discuss 1990's mafia classic, "Goodfellas."
What can you say about Martin Scorsese's film that hasn't been said before? Well perhaps that at least one of us has some major issues with the film as a whole... teaser! Along with our conversation about the film, we discuss new beers, some extra trivia and as always have a lot of laughs.

Episode 122 - "Dances With Wolves"
In 2025 we will be taking some additional further looks back into films from beyond 20 years, because the year 2005 was, to put it plainly, a garbage year of films... so what better way to enjoy our time together than travelling 35 years back to the Best Picture winning epic "Dances With Wolves."
We enjoy at least four new beers, have some fun trivia, and overall just gush on a film that somehow gets overlooked in film history thanks to another film from 1990 which we will cover in the next happy hour.
We hope you enjoy the episode...
Episode 121 - "Good Night and Good Luck"
Say what you will about this movie, after 20 years it is pretty amazing that we are talking about a black and white period piece about the McCarthy era and are unfortunately able to find modern day parallels. In 2005's Oscar Nominated "Good Night and Good Luck," we see these parallels take place, though one of us saw them more than the other...meaning it is safe to say, that one of us has great taste in films, and the other one is Tim.
Along with new beers and some new trivia, we hope you enjoy this new...
Episode 120 - "Kingdom of Heaven"
Bye Bye sub-par movies of 2004, hello somehow even worse movies of 2005!!! We are actually excited to start a new season and a new year of films, and we begin our journey back to 2004 with an epic masterpiece of a film, that almost no one saw, in Ridley Scott's "Kingdom of Heaven: Director's Cut."
A new year also brings a new set of older films, some new segments, and a lot of fun. Combine that with the regular fan favorites and new beers each week, and we think this year will be the best one yet. Thanks for...

In this episode we discuss classic comedies like "Dumb and Dumber," and "Ace Ventura," classic action like "Speed" and "True Lies," animated classics like "Lion King" and even some all-time dramas such as "Quiz Show." 1994 was so good that we wanted to change our format just to talk about it.
