Welcome to our after movie review show! This is a podcast where two friends sit down and talk about movies or TV shows directly after we've watch them. Ian and Dylan are the regular hosts, and sometimes we invite our friends on to help us spice it up a little.

Amazonian Android - The Ghost in the Shell (2026) | The Aftermath Ep.327
For this episode we only watched the first two episodes of the new Ghost in the Shell anime series. We had a little trip down memory lane talking about all the different iterations of Ghost in the Shell, and we found out Jon hasn’t seen any of it. Dylan informed him that it was required viewing, and Jon said he will get on board soon enough.

Sharon Shootout - Macross Plus Ep.2/2 | The Aftermath Ep.326
We learned a lot about ourselves, and our enemies with the finale of Macross Plus. As well as how much we all still hate AI as it takes over our lives. On the other hand, that concert was out of this world! There's no way they can top it next year.

In today’s episode we talk about a long standing rivalry between two men that slips over into their military work. They’re fighting over the same woman, and destroying government property in the process. The repair bill for these prototype mechs is going to be astronomical. This just in Hatsune Miku attempts to murder a young woman in a building fire, more at eleven.

FentGully - FernGully: The Last Rainforest | The Aftermath Ep.322
This is a story about a group of guys tearing down an entire forest with the biggest piece of machinery constructed by humans. One of them gets kidnapped by a fairy, and the other two inadvertently get controlled by the sludge demon that was sealed away in an ancient tree. That skeletal smoke monster was huffing and tweaking on the exhaust like a fiend, but in the end all you had to do was turn off the machine formally known as “The Leveler”. Sackboy’s Big Adventure - 9 | The Aftermath Ep.321
What a strange little film this was. A scientist split his soul into nine little sackboys and girls as military grade robots kill all of humanity. After they awaken “The Machine”, which I call “The Tinkerer”, it begins to suck the souls out of them. More graphic than I thought it would be. In the end their souls get saved and turn into germ, maybe, not sure.

The Absolute Destroyer - Godzilla vs. Destoroyah | The Aftermath Ep.320
We are back in the world of Godzilla, this time at the end of the Heisei era. The aesthetics of this movie are beautiful. Everything from the colours to the suits designs, this Godzilla movie is definitely among the top of the list.

Regret | The Aftermath Ep.317
Today is a day of mourning and dancing. I’ll get to why in a moment. We started this episode off by talking about the new Gundam movie that just released, Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: The Sorcery of Nymph Circe. We saw it in the cinema together and quickly shared our thoughts, and I also brought up the fact that Mya and I have been watching the original trilogy of Star Wars as well. But today we end with the announcement of Destiny 2’s shut down coming up, and what that means for us.

Magical Mouse Menagerie - The Secret of NIMH | The Aftermath Ep.316
If I had a dollar for every time Dylan and I talked about a Royal Rat Authority I would have at least two dollars. Which isn't much in the grand scheme, but is definitely more than I would have expected. This quest is intense. We had to track down an ancient owl who told us to convince these super-intelligent rats to help us save the family, and cure Tiny Tim of pneumonia.

Emperor Hagraven - The Dark Crystal | The Aftermath Ep.315
The time has finally come! Mya was available and we got to watch the famous Jim Henson classic, The Dark Crystal. This was a wonderful adventure into a world that I have never experienced before. From the plants, and beautiful landscapes, to the creatures, races, and last but not least the crab guards! This truly was a special film.

This is the day that Dylan unveils a dark secret. He has been training horse girls, and is falling prey to Umamusume. We talk about how badly this game has gotten him, the movie associated with the game, and the broader implications of “ownership” and “freedom” in this universe.

The Legend Of MacArthur Roosevelt | The Aftermath Ep.313
Dylan and I sat down with Jon and discussed the recent developments in the games industry, and the stuff we’ve been playing. We covered so much in this episode. I shared my guilty pleasure of the amazing music of the Sonic the hedgehog universe. Dylan talked about a classic game called Kameo and his recent updates in Space Marine II. Jon and I have recently been sharing our love for flight sims with Nuclear Option and Elite Dangerous. Last but not least, it would be a games episode if I didn’t talk about Helldivers a little.

Fentanyl - Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Ep.5/? | The Aftermath Ep.311
After an entire year Dylan and I have returned to Bleach, and it did not hesitate to throw us right back in where we left off. Our boy Uryu is continuing to betray us and bringing about the end of the world. YouHaBadGuy remade the Royal Palace, and now all the good guys and bad guys are in one place. So I expect lots of fights and maybe some big character deaths.

Big Dinosaurs 2 - Godzilla vs. Biollante | The Aftermath Ep.302
Here we are with another Godzilla film, this time with plant matter. It’s flora against fauna in this clash of titans, and spoiler Godzilla is the better of the two. We’re just surprised the mad scientist wasn’t thrown in prison for creating a giant tentacled rose monster. Also, don’t step on the giant metal hexagons in the field. You will be atomized out of existence.

Once upon a time there was a unicorn, the last of her kind, and she went on a quest to find what became of the other unicorns. Along the way she meets the great and powerful Schmendrick the Wise, and Molly. Neither of them truly appreciate Schmendrick, and in fact, are quite ungrateful. Eventually they find the Red Bull and the unicorn gets enough energy to cast him into the sea.

Brasso’s Brick - Andor: Season 1 Ep.6/6 | The Aftermath Ep.296
Here we are, at the end of the season. This was a great show, and these final episodes did not disappoint. We had ship battles, espionage, stormtrooper, and bricks. Everything you could have ever asked for from a Star War. I just hope that B2EMO makes it out okay.

Suddenly, a man wielding a crystal ball claiming to be The Goblin King takes her brother and puts her in a maze. All of the sudden she wants her brother back now, for some reason. Now you’re alone with a hobbit peeing into a fountain.

Schrödinger’s Drummer | The Aftermath Ep.290
Today’s episode is a bit heavier than past episodes of this show. I have been inspired by life and death and the beautiful art we make in between. From an amazing Twenty One Pilots concert to the loss of a friend’s relative, these past few weeks have opened my eyes again. Be intentional about loving and appreciating your friends and family, let the fire of inspiration drive you, but don’t be afraid to slow down and savour the moment. Life is precious. Be there for one another.
