The GURU has a heavy-heart with the announcement of the end of the road for the CBS / Infinity sports network. For the past thirteen years, we have been entertained by a long host of great people that made this network what it is today. What a classic World Series game, what a way to end the season with two key home runs by Miguel Rojas and Wil Smith gave the Los Angeles Dodgers their first back to back world championship. On June 28th, we learned of the passing of a true legendary player, Dave Parker. Parker was elected to the Baseball Hall Of Fame in January and was less than thirty days away from receiving his plaque in Cooperstown New York. He was one of the most feared hitters in baseball during the later part of the 1970's and through out the 1980's. Parker was the ultimate five-tool player that displayed power, speed, fielding, able to hit for average, and leadership.
