Just The Tip-Sters: True Crime Podcast

Some citizens take an oath to help others. Some believe they are owed anything they want, even others lives. Jaremy Smith started by killing woman in his home state of South Carolina for her car. But not before kidnapping and torturing her and eventually killing her and leaving her behind an abandoned barn.

Taking Phonecia Machado-Fore's BMW sedan across the country to New Mexico where he had an ex girlfriend he ended his journey when the BMW got a flat tire. When State Trooper Justin Hare pulled up behind Smith offering to help he had no idea...

Phillip Jablonski had a difficult childhood. A lot of people do. But they don't grow up to take the lives of others. His father was an abusive alcoholic and it appears Phil blamed his mother for not protecting him as is borne out when he tries to strangle her with his shoe laces during a prison family visit.

Jablonski knows who he is and records himself lying in wait for victims in public areas. The audio tapes are chilling with his matter of fact running commentary of what he is looking for and what he will do...

Debbie Fones and her daughter Deverrie Schiller were best of friends and had recently moved back to Debbie's hometown of California City. It was a small desert town when Debbie left and it had doubled in size when she moved back. Not in the best way. But she felt safe enough being surrounded by family and old friends and with her daughter, Deverrie by her side.

The unimaginable happened one night in June of 2016 when Deverrie did not return home after a walk with a friend to a convenient store not far away. Deverrie was an adult...

Having no idea that Helen Brach, multimillionaire widow and heiress to her husbands family fortune has been missing since 1974 I became fascinated with her life story. Even though the EJ Brach & Sons confectioners make the egregious product, Candy Corn (neither candy nor corn) every missing person deserves to be found and able to rest.

Helen's life was fascinating from her strong belief in other worldly things like mediumship, automatic writing and seances, she was a lovely and generous benefactor to family, friends and those in her employ. Maybe too genreous.

Hear Helen's story here

The teenage years can be difficult for parents as well as the kids going through so many physical and emotional changes. Four days after Nancy Guthrie turned 84 she was taken from her home overnight on February 1st, 2026. It has been 6 months now. 6 months of not knowing what happened, who did this and most importantly, WHY?!?!? Many notes, emails, communications have been sent to Tucson local TV news stations, TMZ and other news outlets. Some have been debunked after having been traced to a Los Angeles man who wasn't as graceful at hiding his online self as he thought he was.

A few notes have been released by the FBI and the Pima County Sheriff's Office. Those two notes...

Groups can attract those who are searching, those who are curious, those who are seekers. Unfortunately not all groups are ethical and some even morph into cults. The abuse can be severe with everything from sexual and physical to extreme mental and emotional abuse and almost always financial. Can you give your time, energy, money to something you believe in? if you are of adult age then of course. But when you are born and raised into a thought system that feels counter intuitive to your own body, mind, spirit thats when things get complicated.

A small...

Our new endeavor BLUNT FORCE TRUE CRIME (a subsidiary of Just The Tip-Sters) examines documentaries, television, movies and even written true crime stories to determine their truthfulness, validity and even point of view. These are opinions of the hosts and not a detailed run down of the cases.

THIS documentary left us with many questions.

A German national grows up in a strict household of what he describes as "health nuts," and comes to America to share his invention and pursue large sized women. Is it just a preference or is Stefan Wilhelmy a sexual...

We are at an anniversary no one wants. Its been 15 years since someone entered the home of Bill and Peggy Stephenson after midnight and murdered them brutally. The killer or killers stayed for hours staging the scene to look like something but no one knows what their message to investigators was supposed to mean. NO ONE deserves to die like this. Two beautiful, kind, generous 74 year olds taken from their family, their community and the world and no one has been caught...yet. I KNOW there are Tip-Sters out there that know something, that heard something that feel something...

Not being much on conspiracies it was easy to ignore the recent reports of many scientists, astronomers, astrophysicists those employed by or associated with the scientific community going missing or being murdered. As the number kept growing the mystery deepened. The number can no longer be ignored and the details have become more disturbing.

One of the missing has been found with unusual circumstances. Melissa Casias was a long time employee of the Los Alamos National Laboratory in Northern New Mexico. Did Melissa Casias decide to end her own life or are other entities involved?

Welcome to Episode 2 of Blunt Force True Crime where we review streaming true crime documentaries, episodic TV shows, books, podcasts, you name it.

This episode features the Netflix documentary "The Crash." This particular telling of the horrible event receives 4 Hachets out of 5. Welcome to our first episode of "Blunt Force True Crime," under the Just the Tip-Sters umbrella. In August of 1994, Delores, "Dee Dee" Jackson was enjoying a new relationship after divorcing her high school Sweetheart, Tito Jackson. Don Bohana was twenty years Dee Dee's senior but had a good life and was by all accounts besotted with...

Elaine McKinley's wife had a simple request for her 81st birthday: a short hike and a picnic with Elaine and a friend. Kit knew it was the perfect time of year to see all of the wild flowers in bloom. Its easy to see that Elaine, 79 and her wife Kit were not your average senior citizens. They hiked three days a week and took ballroom dancing classes three times a week.

Elaine had Alzheimers but was a force to be reckoned with. The three women went on the short, not strenuous hike and as usual Elaine raced...

In June of 2000, George Gibson a successful Veterinarian and researcher for P & G in Cincinnati came home after work, shut this garage door and was never seen alive again. His wife, the equally as successful Paige Smith was headed to New York for a Veterinarian researchers conference.

George had a secret life that now would be considered tame, but he had met many women from chat phone lines in person. Although most of the women reported them as "dates" like walking around parks and meeting to talk.

George was found bound to a chair, shot...

We started with the episode about the murder of Carl Grillmair on his front porch a few weeks back. We then covered the disappearance of Major General Neil McCasland into thin air.

We are now following the lead of a few agencies and listing ALL of the scientists who have died, were murdered or just plain vanished in the last four years. What do they all have in common? Space exploration, inventors of rocket material, astro physics, and research into life on other plants.

Coincidence? There is no such thing.

His wife returns home around Noon to find Neil gone, but his phone, prescription glasses and other "wearable" devices were left behind.

Searches began immediately with some sleuths believing his disappearance...

Sometimes law enforcement handles cases differently depending on a missing persons vocation. It shouldn't matter that Sara was an exotic dancer for a living. She was a working mother, sister, daughter, friend. Disappearing after work one night was unusual for her normal pattern. There are more than one persons of interest in her case but it appears very clear, she did NOT leave her daughter, her family her friends on her own. Her sister Michelle Tullis is a force to be reckoned with and will not stop until Sara is found and her family sees justice. Her main worry...

In this month's special, Melissa from Just The Tip-Sters shares a case close to her heart with Cam & Jen. It's a head-scratcher. In May 2011, Bill and Peggy Stephenson, a kind, generous, and deeply loved couple from Florence, Kentucky, were brutally murdered inside their own home. Both were 74 years old. Their deaths sent shockwaves through Northern Kentucky and left family, friends, and an entire community searching for answers. More than a decade later, this horrific double homicide remains unsolved. There was no obvious motive, no clear suspects, and no explanation that made sense. Even seasoned detectives and the FBI have...

Just the Tip-Sters doesn't usually cover cases in progress or cases this recent. But Ms. Rivas death once covered up and attempted to be swept into a trunk is unfurling like a large flag.

Wayne Nance did not have a perfect childhood but neither do a lot of us. He was smart and somehow got himself through highschool and graduated. He joined the military but was "generally" discharged due to having contraband like drugs and knives. Little did we know he had already commited one of the most brutal murders of the mother of a friend. After his own death evidence connecting him to this murder was found in his possessions.

His victims some of which he is only the person of interest due to not having enough evidence include but...

Rural Oklahoma in 1985 and hitchhiking had not fallen out of favor. Rozlin and Fawn Abell two sisters were walking into town to apply for jobs....maybe. Their older brother Otto heard one of them say "Hurry up, they are waiting for us down the road..." 18 year old Rozlin and 15 year old Fawn were never seen again.

There was much gossip, theories and rumors over the years including stories of bad behavior very close to home. But there has been nothing, no sign of the girls since the beautiful summer day of July 25, 1985 when the girls walked away.<...

Lots of teenagers have drama and high emotions. Some teenagers run away from home and in some cases they stay away. It is an unusal case when a 13 year old go goes missing in spring of 2024 from her family home a few hours east of Los Angeles and then is found one day after what would have been her 15th birthday, decomposed so badly in a bag in the front trunk of a Tesla sedan in the tony neighborhood of Hollywood Hills, it was at first thought she had been dismembered.
