Connor Quilty talks about his path from a culinary household to vineyards around the world, landing as head winemaker at Meadowbrook in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. He traces hands-on internships in California and Australia, UC Davis studies, and lessons learned running cellars and harvests. At Meadowbrook Connor helped design the winery, planted focused varieties for both sparkling and still wines, and embraced a low-intervention, old-world-influenced style that prioritizes fruit purity. He also discusses the challenges and rewards of building a winery from the ground up and the humility of learning through mistakes.
