John O'Callaghan Podcast

One of the best nights of our lives.... thanks to everyone for 19 years of love, passion and hospitality.

New IDs fresh from the studio, originals, remixes, collabs, and plenty of Subculture label material. Another momentous summer edition of Lumo! Great to see so many friends and trance family as always. Hope you had as good a time as I did. Lumo, thank you. ❤️

What a night in Belfast, just listen to the crowd - this will tell you why it's one of the best cities in the world to play in! Cheers to Notorious and Goodgreef for a top night x

Watch the Live HD set on YouTube: https://youtu.be/xoaqKOuAPws?si=yY0zOWBcYM25atoO Thanks to everyone who made that one of the best ASOTs ever!

Lots of IDs in this set. Hope you enjoy. This was a brilliant night of trance in Dublin, where the crowd came out despite the weather - thank you for that! go check out Modea's set too: https://soundcloud.com/modeadj/mode-live-from-block-dublin-07

The idea behind this set was a mix of current trance vs. Dreamstate standout tracks from my sets there going back 10 years. On a weekend where there is nothing but trance from around the globe, it was a pleasure to be part of it. "I was there" for the Tiesto return. What a journey we have been on the last 10 years. See you at San Francisco May 7th @ Dreamstate!

John O’Callaghan continues his impressive run in 2025 with ‘Fragmentos’ - his seventh single of the year, and perhaps his most sun-drenched yet. First debuted as an ID during his Luminosity set, the track is built around warm airy melodies, and driving seaside energy. ‘Fragmentos’ captures a feeling of light, movement, and memory. With a live piano ending by Paul Skelton, this is a blissful Summer outro. https://subculture.lnk.to/Fragmentos

https://subculture.lnk.to/NeverLeaveYourSide The album that never was: 1. Reflections 2. Memphis 3. Crystal Caverns 4. Lost in Sound 5. Lunar Divide 6. Never Leave Your Side 7. -- 8. -- 9. -- 10. -- 11. -- 12. --

Lunar Divide is the latest in a powerful run of 2025 releases from John O’Callaghan, following Reflections, Lost in Sound, Crystal Caverns, Memphis, and the Pebble Beach (John Askew Remix). With this track, JOC moves fully into orbit. Crafted alongside studio companion Paul Skelton, Lunar Divide is built around a celestial melody and a rare, hypnotic sequence that stays with you. It’s elevating, otherworldly, and unmistakably John O’Callaghan, a track that doesn’t just rise, it ascends.

The first of at least ten tracks this year. One a month. All trance. No distractions. No detours. One track at a time. One step forward each month. Let’s see where the road leads. An album by the end of 2025?

I played a kind of 'ode to the past' of the Joint Ops stuff. (plus 1 classic tech-er) Thanks to all who went to the Void Stage for the set! When Mauro appeared I got very nervous :) This could be the last Joint Ops set for a while, focusing on trance for 2025!

Hope you enjoy my set from this years electric Luminosity night at ADE Amsterdam! There is a few hot ID's in there :) listen on youtube: https://youtu.be/LwHaI24H6II

It's no surprise why people from all around the world gather each year for this event. Everybody looks forward to it! Including the DJs, as the crowd and online feedback is always so warm. It's a memorable party with trance friends and a celebration of trance music, and I'm already looking forward to next year!

We are very thankful for cities like Melbourne in this scene. A city that gives energy and love every time we go there - truly grateful for it to be our home for Subculture in Australia! We always feel so welcome! Thank you Melbourne for being the best!! x

Poland for the last few years has been a stronghold of trance & tech-trance in Europe. Huge events like Dreamstate are a pleasure to be part of as you always know it's going to be massive. Thanks as always to my Polish Trance Family. See you guys next time!

Here is the b2b set from myself and Aly & Fila - from the unforgettable weekend that was Subculture Thailand! Myself and Fadi never plan sets, so this one was truly an 'on the fly experience' :) I think that makes it more authentic & fun. Thanks to all the fans who travelled and made this weekend so amazing. It truly was one for the books!

Another incredible edition of the epic A State of Trance festival came to Rotterdam this weekend. It was a pure pleasure to be part of such a huge spectacle of Trance! Did you enjoy yourself? Here is my set from stage 2 - full of new debuts and very special IDs. Thanks to all who came and supported, I hope you enjoy the set. Big thanks to all @ ASOT for the incredible show!

Liberation London is becoming one of my favourite gigs of the year. It's a place where the DJ and crowd truly are one entity, together for the music. No spotlight and no focus on the stage needed. Just clubbing in it's purest vintage form. That's what I love. Thank you Liberation! P.S - this set is full of ID's! follow: https://www.instagram.com/thisisliberation/

What a way to end 2023, in the amazing city of Montreal. A place where I have played many dark, harder sets over the years - and this time was no different. I love the crowd here, and I love the club. Merci, Montreal! I hope to see you soon x

Finally got to b2b with one of my heros of trance. The wizard who taught me more than anyone could wish. What a moment, what a weekend - thanks once again to Dreamstate and the unreal SoCal crowd! Cheers G!

Here is my set from the legendary Planet Love festival in Northern Ireland. We hosted a stacked Subculture arena which was buzzing from the start. The weather was slightly against us but the tent was full to the end! Thanks Belfast, and thanks Planet Love!

Here is my set from the legendary Creamfields festival in the UK. I have played here every year (I think) since 2009, 14 years.. wow! This festival is a true part of UK, Irish and European clubbing history. It was a pleasure once again to play in the trance area. I hope you enjoy the set!

This is one I have been saving for a rainy day. As I have a weekend off to go to my sisters wedding, I thought I would upload this one. Never been heard before, my 4 hours Total Spectrum set from Academy LA. Have a great weekend everyone!

Just listen to the crowd on this one, amazing! We love you Melbourne! A total gift to be able to play in such a buzzing atmosphere. Thanks to Evolution and the unreal crowd who made this night possible, truly one to remember. Will we be back? F**k yeah :)

Luminosity is hailed as the best European trance festival and every year it proves again just why it gets that reputation. I played 90% brand new trance and IDs in my set, I hope you enjoyed them. I spent weeks in the studio getting them just right for the festival :) Thanks to everyone for an amazing weekend! tracklist: John O'Callaghan - Riverside Bryan Kearney & Bo Bruce - Shine A Light Yelow & Spy - ID Ben Gold - Rest Of Our Lives (Paul Webster Remix) Charlotte de Witte & Enrico Sangiuliano vs. John Askew - Strange Reflection (JOC Noodle) 0Gravity - Without You ...

Here is my first ever open to close set in Belfast. One of the best gigs of my life to be honest. I am eternally grateful for the support Belfast has given me, truly a special place! For the first 2.5 hours I ventured into some progressive, tech-house and techno, including some of my favourite tracks from other genres. Then, from there we went into full on trance and tech-trance. Thanks again to all for creating such a memorable experience!

Beyond Wonderland 2023 was one of the most awesome atmospheres I have seen in California! The crowd was crazy energetic and it was a true pleasure to play for them. After my set I walked around and it was amazing to see all the stages going off, proper! Huge thanks, see you next time.

Here is my extended set from the incredible city of Buenos Aires, where I always feel like home. Thanks to the people of Argentina once again for making lifelong memories, I will see you again my friends! *I did not make this mix audio super loud, so you can hear the crowd atmosphere. The audio levels vary due to the recorder - I know certain parts are not perfect but this is for those who want to relive this night. Thank you :)

One of our most popular Subculture events to date took place in the amazing city of Bangkok, Thailand. People travelled from far and wide to be part of this night - thank you to all of those legends for joining us! My set was a combo of new unheard Subculture IDs combined with some Subculture favourites. Hopefully we get to go back soon - thanks again!
