On Halloween morning in 2019, 26-year-old Kristen Trickle was supposed to get up and go to work. Her alarm was set, and Halloween candy was waiting in the kitchen for trick-or-treaters. Instead, her husband, Colby Trickle, called 911 in Hays, Kansas, and said she had shot herself. The coroner made his ruling, but Kristen’s family didn’t believe it, and neither did the detective who walked into that house. Kristen's tragic death turned into a years-long fight to prove what really happ...

For more than thirty years, headlines have focused on Christa Pike. Her childhood, her appeals, her execution. But this story was never supposed to be about her! That's what she always wanted - ALL the attention, and she's STILL getting it. Colleen Slemmer is the real victim here. In January 1995, Colleen was 19 and 400 miles from home, a quiet, kind girl from Orange Park, Florida, chasing a computer certificate at the Knoxville Job Corps Center in Tennessee. She studied every night. She was there to succeed. And on a cold, wet Thursday night, she walked out of her dorm with...

All suspects are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.18-year-old college freshman Karoline Heintz was found dead in the back of her own Jeep in Pennsylvania just days into her first semester at PennWest University. In this true crime video, I break down the case, what police bodycam footage showed when officers found her Jeep in a parking lot, how her dad tracking her AirTag led police to her, and why demons got brought up in an interview. We also look at the disturbing allegations...

80’s Spotify Playlist: https://spotify.link/yjmsrGPe8Db🕯️ THIS IS A NEW SERIES! It's the debut of my Death Through The Decades series. This episode features a Halloween murder at a Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant in the 1980s. The videos in this series go in depth about what life was like in that decade. What policing was like in the 1980s, technology (or lack thereof), and what the culture was like. I'll be diving into the 80's, 90's, and the 2000's and I've lived through all three, so I've been there! I really hope you appreciate the nostalgia and connect...

On a Friday morning in April of 1990, a woman in Greenville, South Carolina didn't show up for work. Nobody had heard from her in almost thirty-six hours. This case is heartbreaking. Whenever a young person has their life cut short, it's not easy to talk about. Jessica was a sophomore in high school; she was JUST starting her life. She was a gifted singer, played several musical instruments, loved cheerleading, and had just started dating her first boyfriend. Many of us can relate to Jessica in a lot of ways. That's why this one is hard to hear. She had no idea what was about to happen.

What investigators pieced together about Jessica's fin...

Over the course of just a few days in 2018, six people were killed across the Phoenix area, and at first, the victims seemed to have nothing to do with one another. A nationally respected forensic psychiatrist, gunned down outside his office. Two paralegals. A counselor. A couple in a quiet suburban home. Different people, different places, no obvious link. A community was left terrified, and investigators were racing against the clock as the body count climbed.

In this Evil Mind's Deep Dive, I walk you through the night of September 21, 2012, when Jill Meagher left a bar in Melbourne's Brunswick and began the short walk home. She was one block from her apartment. She never made it inside. Her case became one of Australia's most heartbreaking and closely followed true crime stories, not because of how complicated it was, but because of how ordinary it began. A night out. A walk home. A person who seemed to want to help. We look past the headlines and into the psychology and the legal system behind what happened — th...
