Beautiful Mirages

What is the difference between an illusion and a mirage? An illusion can be entirely subjective – a trick of an individual's mind or personal misunderstanding. But a mirage is a shared witness. It is not an illusion because nothing false reaches your eyes. The light is real. The image is real to all who view it. The image we see if of a real object projected elsewhere due to light refraction.
