Hello and welcome to Three Knights and a Page, your fantasy study guide, a comedic literary review podcast, hosted by three individuals who are decidedly not knights and who (ideally) cover more than one page. We will be your guide, your shepherd through the endless miasma that is fantasy and fantasy reading. Join us every other Monday as we cover a different fantasy book, chapter by chapter, and hope we don't make absolute fools of ourselves along the way. So whether you're a fantasy expert, or you're new to the genre, Ryan, Casey and Andrew invite you to answer the...

Between Two Fires - Part 1: Monkeys in Sync
#17

If you thought last book was deep, in depth, and covered heavy existential topics, then you ain't seen nothing yet!
The Fantasy Boys strap in as they try and tackle religion, redemption, and medieval French history, and man do they get side-swiped. With this book being their first dark, horror, historical fantasy novel to cover, the knights do their best to keep things light and find the joy in a world ravaged by the plague. Join us this week as the little cymbal-wielding monkeys that live in our heads perfectly sync up in our most inspired episode yet.

#16
10/19/2026

The Fantasy Boys set down their packs, sit around the fire, and learn their true names, discuss the pros and cons of Magic the Gathering, and play a rousing game of 'Would You Rather?' Pull up a chair and join our respite from reading fantasy books, so we can discuss fantasy at large, and as the age old questions: Which MC's would win in a fight? All this and more this week on Three Knights! and a page....

Well well well, look what the cat dragged in...
No, seriously! The fantasy boys introduce their newest segment, contemplate their life choices, and struggle relentlessly to do Le Guin justice by taking this incredible piece of literature seriously. Casey makes a grave error early on, Ryan continues to shame himself for his lack of helpful note taking and Andrew is left to pick up the pieces of our mess. Join us this week and all the fun we can get out little grabby hands on as we finish our favorite book we've read thus far!

A Wizard of Earthsea - Part 1: The True Name of Sticky
#14
10/06/2026

The Fantasy Boys put on their thinkin' caps for this one, as they try and tackle the illustrious work of one of the Titans in the fantasy genre. They struggle to understand and appreciate such complex materials as character growth, the hubris of man, and boats. Come join us as we most CERTAINLY embarrass ourselves on the rough waters of Earthsea.

Kings of the Wyld - Part 3: A Cry for Help
#12
09/21/2026

The Fantasy Boys, despite all their meandering and threatening, finish the book. This was an episode of firsts: Andrew opens up about how he is feeling, Ryan bares his heart for us and shows some semblance of vulnerability, and manages to make only ONE anime reference.  As the cold road takes its toll, join us as we conclude this epic tale of heroes, bravery, and buffoonery.

Interlude: WHOA TWO SWORDS!?! COOL!
#9
08/31/2026

While taking a break in between books, the fantasy boys answer some audience questions, discuss swords and their innate draw (pun intended) to fantasy lovers, and try their hands at a few new segments at varying successes. Brunch, maps, and the different archetypes of 'handsome', there's nothing these boys won't talk about, ad nauseam, in the name of content.

The Wheel of Time - Part 3: Man-scape the Lan-scape
#8
08/24/2026

We. FINALLY. Did it. 310,191 pages later, the Fantasy Boys finish covering the Eye of the World. The delirium has clearly set in as they devolve into covering such thought provoking topics as: timeless Shrek fantasy tropes, topical Adam Sandler references, and speculate on Lan's manscaping practices. Ryan struggles with pronunciation (surprising no one) and Casey rediscovers his love for Digimon. If you're confused by reading these notes then BUCKLE UP. We're just as confused.

The Wheel of Time - Part 2: The first, one-true power source force
#7
08/17/2026

The Fantasy Boys struggle through a curse that has afflicted Sir Andrew's audio, but still somehow manage to make a coherent sentence between the three of them. They make like a million references to other nerd media, and discuss the finer things like, the spirit of a wolf living inside you, a halfway decent Gollum impression, and Ryan's aspirations to be a pirate. Casey loses something very precious to him early on and has to live with his decisions. What hijinks will the boys think up next?

The Wheel of Time - Part 1: The Fourth Boy
#6
08/10/2026

The Fantasy Boys channel the true source, and are subsequently driven mad by the Dark One's taint, as their conversation deteriorates into squabbles about mustaches, dragons, scary scary Mists, and what it means to be the "un-chosen" boy in a group of Chosen ones. Come experience the world of "Randland", bad maps and all, as we unpack the behemoth that is Robert Jordan's unparalleled world building.

Redwall: a Stuart Little hate page
#4
07/27/2026

The Fantasy Boys discuss the colorful audiobook talent, Andrew develops a newfound hatred for anthropomorphized mice, and Ryan and Casey butcher an already butchered French accent. All this while basking in the gloriously-homey aesthetic of Mossflower Woods and the Redwall Abbey. Come see for yourselves the wonderful world of Redwall that inevitably lead to 21 additional novels, a tv series, an OPERA!?! and numerous videogames.

The Witcher: We ride together, we die together. badboys4lyfe
#3
07/20/2026

We discuss the ironies of monster hunter hate, parallels into popular fairytale lore, and lament how bleak and horrible the world of the Witcher is.  All this, as we give you a chapter by chapter breakdown of Andrzej Sapkowski's series of short stories that launched the Witcher canon into the forefront of the Fantasy Genre, inspiriing video games, tv shows, and Casey's unhealthy obsession with "big dude, big sword, scary monster."

Mistborn - Part 2: All according to Keikaku.
#2
07/13/2026

Ryan laments his recent divorce with famed author JK Rowling, Casey is a princess, I guess? And Andrew is battling for his life to keep the other two dum dums in check. They (somehow) manage to cover the second half of this book and wrap things up in a nice bow, just the way Sanderson likes it.
