Professor Golden is a Professor of Psychology, specializing in Human Sexuality. She has taught, conducted research, appeared on TV and radio, and wrote her own textbook on Human Sexuality. She's been answering people's questions, whether they were students or not, for a long time. She's a bit like a cross between Dr. Ruth and Sue Johanson with a touch of comedy.Prof. G currently lives in California with her 3 dogs (and usually 1 she is fostering). She is still teaching and writing books. This is her first attempt at podcasts.

What is sex and Why have sex?
Professor G explains two discussions she used to have with her students in class. One, what is sex? We explored how different people felt different acts defined sex. Two, reasons to have sex. This was a fascinating activity where, without fail, things like revenge, or for money, came long before anyone mentioned love.

Words Matter - Genital names
In this podcast, Prof G talks about her continued fight against the spread of misinformation. This time, in the words we use to talk about our bodies, specifically our genitals. We should be using vulva most of the time when we say vagina. Women over the age of 18 are not GIRLS, they are women. Words matter!

This podcast is about Orgasms. It includes a few personal stories, current vs. past statistics, and a brief discussion on different types of orgasms. I'll do another one later that focuses on things that might be preventing you from having orgasms.

In this episode, I will talk about the spread of misinformation and how it affected millions of people leading to cancer. You will hear what was happening in the background that lead to the vaccine against HPV. Also, I mention having the "talk" with partners you're considering having sex with. More on this in a future podcast.
Introducing myself, Human Sexuality Professor
This is my first podcast so if the audio isn't perfect, it will get better. The first time I recorded it and played it back, I could hear a dog happily chewing on a bone almost the entire time. So I rerecorded it but you can still hear him scratching or his tag jingling, my apologies. My foster dog stays in my office so it's hard to find a time he's completely quiet. Even if he's sleeping, he snores!
