Real Ghost Stories, Ouija Boards & Rum | BYOB Halloween Special 👻🥃
Things get spooky on the BYOB Halloween Special! Lee and Neill swap the usual format for personal ghost stories, eerie childhood memories, and unsettling urban legends. 👻🥃
Neill reveals the creepy goings-on in his childhood home in Australia — including mysterious music, a shadowy figure, and a scary reflection in an oven door... plus the chilling moment his mum later confessed she heard the exact same music.
Lee brings sleep paralysis, a terrifying shape standing in a dark doorway, and midnight Ouija board sessions in graveyards to the table. The lads also bre...
Episode 22 - Did Eisenhower Sign an ALIEN Treaty? | Sea Maiden & Halls of Campbeltown Rum | Jinjer & Spiritbox
Did President Eisenhower secretly sign a treaty with Grey Aliens in 1954? And who pays child support for Craig's telekinetic alien–Bigfoot baby "Little John"?
Welcome to Episode 22 of the B.Y.O.B. Podcast! This week, Lee, Neill, and Craig review two distinct spiced rums, break down Jinjer and Spiritbox live in Glasgow, and investigate secret government deals, MJ-12, and reverse-engineered alien tech.

EPISODE 21 - We Talked Billionaire Bunkers Over Rum & Blood Bags
Millionaires are building doomsday bunkers. We'd fill ours with rum and podcast equipment.
Lee, Neill and Craig are back for Episode 21 of B.Y.O.B — Bring Your Own Bottle — with cherry Bakewell flavours, a suspicious blood-bag refill and some highly questionable survival planning.
First up is Rumaretto from The Rum Infusionist, which earns the lads' first unanimous “twelfty”. Then it's Fallen Angel Black Spiced Rum, served from a refill pouch with medical tubing inevitably involved.
There's music chat about ALBORN, Craig's ghost-hunting kit and a Conspiracy Corner trip into billionaire doomsday bunkers. Would yo...
Episode 20 - We Drank Gin and Opened the Ark of the Covenant | Arbikie & 156/Silence
Local Angus spirits. Huge riffs. One box we should probably leave alone.
Lee, Neill and Craig celebrate Episode 20 with Arbikie Nàdar Gin and Tattie Bogle Vodka, tasting the gin neat and with tonic before finding out what potato vodka brings to the bar.
Our band pick is 156/Silence and From A Distance — a conversation about heavy riffs, unexpected atmosphere and “angry Muse”. Then Conspiracy Corner follows Ark of the Covenant theories through Temple Mount, Knights Templar, Rosslyn Chapel and Oak Island. We've even brought our own Ark. Sensible decisio...
Episdode 19 - We Drank Rum and Somehow Ended Up at Brain Implants | Knocked Loose, DropWorks & Dark God
Two bottles poured. Zero filters applied. Somehow we ended up at brain implants.
This week Lee and Neill pour DropWorks Barrel Drop, dive into the beautifully brutal world of Knocked Loose, and crack open Dark God — a seriously unusual Scottish rum that splits opinion at the BYOB bar.
Then Conspiracy Corner asks: is everything staged? From AI deepfakes and viral moments to outrage algorithms, doom-scrolling and the increasingly blurry line between real and manufactured online content, the conversation inevitably goes completely off the rails and ends up at human-machine in...
ESPISOD 18 - Dead Internet Theory: AI Bots, Cut Rum & Orbit Culture
Is the internet still run by humans, or are we just watching AI bots talk to other AI bots? This week on B.Y.O.B, Lee and Neill crack open Cut Rum, discover the first ever BYOB “twelfty”, check out Swedish metal heavyweights Orbit Culture and their track The Tales of War, before heading into Conspiracy Corner for Dead Internet Theory 2.0.Are AI bots manufacturing engagement? Are online arguments even real? And how much of what we see online is actually being generated, promoted, or influenced by machines? We also get into Twice Buried Rum, discover whether ginger beer...
EPISODE 17 - Does Bigfoot Exist? (And Is It Hiding in Our Rum?) Rock Distillery & Rutterkin
Progressive metalcore giants ERRA go under the microscope. We break down seven-string guitars, live performance reality, modelling rigs, and whether modern metal relies too much on backing tracks (plus shouts for Sevendust, Bleed From Within, and Malevolence).
Plus: York cat lore, a heartfelt radio tribute to missing cat Billy, and zero-filter pub logic.
Drop your wild Bigfoot theory below, tell us your favourite pour, and subscribe for more booze, bands, and badly supervised investigations!
Adult humour and strong language throughout. Please enjoy alcohol responsibly.

BYOB Episode 13 - Did Earth Lose Gravity for 7 Seconds?!
Did Earth really lose gravity for seven seconds on August 12 - or was Project Anchor just another viral conspiracy?
This week we put the zero-gravity claim through Craig's BS meter, try Sin City Spirits Toxic raspberry vodka, review Five Finger Death Punch's new Legacy album and somehow invent breakfast vodka.
Episode 12 – We Think He Was Abducted... | MKUltra, Sepultura & Hardcore Spiced Rum
Craig is back... but after disappearing through a wormhole in Episode 11, nobody is convinced he returned alone. The lads reunite over Sin City Spirits' Hardcore Spiced Rum before diving into Sepultura's legendary career, the disturbing history of the CIA's MKUltra programme and another tasting with Angus Alchemy × Hog Pod Octane Haze Moonshine.
Expect alien abduction theories, heavy metal, premium spirits, outrageous humour and plenty of unforgettable one-liners as another chaotic night unfolds at the BYOB bar.
Episode Highlights
• Craig returns after the Episode 11 cliffhanger.
• Sin City Spirits Hardcore Spiced Rum review.

Episode 11 – Where's Craig!? | Zombie Bite, Machine Head & Area 51
Episode 11 begins with twelve bottles from Sin City Spirits, two Zombie Bites on the bar and one missing fact checker. Craig has failed to return from the wormhole, leaving behind his BYOB T-shirt and some deeply suspicious CCTV footage involving a naked alien.
The first pour is Zombie Bite spiced rum. Its artwork and bottle shape look the part, even if the screw top denies Lee and Neill their usual cork pop. Caramel leads the tasting, followed by star anise, banana, burnt toffee and crème brûlée. Smooth, thick and sweet without goi...
Episode 10 – Up to the Hilt | Black Tears, Malevolence & Moon Landing
Episode 10 starts with technical gremlins, free-bottle news and Craig still away from the studio. Then the first pour arrives: Black Tears, a dry spiced Cuban rum with no cork pop but plenty to talk about.
Coffee, vanilla, dark chocolate and sweet pepper all make their way into the tasting notes. Lee compares the drink to an espresso martini and an alcoholic iced coffee, while the table agrees that it is drier and more rum-forward than several sweeter bottles from earlier episodes. Lee gives it a nine. Neill gives it an eight.

Episode 9 – Portal in the MESA!? | Rumka, Vapoura, Faith No More & Skinwalker Ranch
Episode 9 is recorded on location in weather hot enough to pass for the Riviera, with Craig on sabbatical in the bunker and two orange bottles waiting at the bar.
First up is Sin City Blood Orange Rumka, described as a 50/50 mix of rum and vodka with added flavour. Sin City sent the bottle and asked for an honest review, so Lee and Neill serve it over ice and let it take its chances. It briefly enters hand-gel territory, then grows on both of them enough to earn matching scores of eight out of ten...
Episode 8 – Clack and Dicter | Buckfast, Alice in Chains & CERN
Episode 8 is the second BYOB recorded in one night, so Lee, Neill and Craig are already a few drinks in before the proper episode even starts. Same clothes, backwards hat, questionable continuity and two months of weekly Thursday episodes. Not bad going.
The first part of the night brings Asahi, Pirate's Grog mild cherry spiced rum with Pepsi Max, "nine point fump" and the discovery of Clack and Dicter, a Scottish term for the last quick drink before leaving the pub. Naturally, the boys decide it should become part of BYOB from now on.<...

Episode 7 opens with Lee’s job interview update before the lads diveinto Kilted Dragon rum, Hoxton Lager, President, Metallica, Dead Man’sFingers and a full-blown discussion on HAARP, Project Bluebeam andspirit boxes.A classic BYOB pub conversation that spirals beautifully out of control.Timestamps00:00 Intro & Lee’s Interview 02:04 Reaper Rum Aftermath 04:02 FirstPour – Kilted Dragon 05:43 Craig Comes Up From the Bunker 10:58 KiltedDragon Scores 12:01 Hoxton Lager Review 14:27 Men’s Health Discussion17:00 President & Charlie Simpson Rumours 22:53 Metallica at Hampden28:44 Classic Student Drinks 33:52 Dead Man’s Fingers Review 40:00Conspiracy Corner Begins 40:52 HAARP Discussion 48:25 Project Bluebeam51:33 Spirit Boxes 57:30 Baba Yaga 59:21 Last Orders
Episode 6 – The Reaper Round | Pirate Grog Reaper Rum, Down & Conspiracy Theories
*Can one bottle of rum completely derail a podcast?*
In Episode 6 of the *Bring Your Own Bottle (BYOB) Podcast, Lee, Neill and Craig are brave (or stupid) enough to tackle **Pirate Grog Reaper Rum*—a chilli-infused monster that tastes like someone set fire to a pirate ship and bottled the flames. It nearly finished us... but the podcast somehow survived.
Once the first sip is out of the way, the conversation descends into exactly the kind of glorious chaos you'd expect. The lads dive into *Down, **Phil Anselmo*, heavy me...
