Ed Larson enters the archives on April 19, 2010 with Henry Zebrowski. Matteo Lane enters the archives at The Creek and The Cave's Thanksgiving celebration on November 22, 2012. Over the next few years, he is on every major show in rapid succession. Our interview covers his time living in an attic while hitting the open mics with fellow comedian Evan Wiliams all the way through his audition at The Cellar. (It went well!) New Yorker cartoonist and Late Show writer Asher Perlman enters the archives at The Bell House in December of 2019. He's back at The Bell House a month later and then... I don't see him again until June of 2024. Asher explains this gap in the archives, writing for Colbert, his pandemic project of becoming a cartoonist, learning a double-pump dunk, and much more in our episode.

Wyatt Cenac enters the archives in 2008 at Comix shortly after moving to NYC for The Daily Show. He shows up in photos at Whiplash, Bowery Electric, and Hannibal's Comedy in a Garage at Matchless, a precursor to the much loved Knitting Factory show. While we didn't get to Wyatt's show, Night Train, in this ep, you can see the ones taped for Seeso here. We'll get to that era in the next episode. You can also celebrate Night Train at the upcoming Hot Butter Train show at The Bell House. It's a kick-off for Marianne Ways' Kickstarter! 

Jo Firestone enters the archives on August 24, 2014 at Shea Stadium (not that one, the artsy one in Bushwick.) at the The Macaulay Culkin Show. Once Jo enters the archives, we see her... A LOT! She's on Whiplash, Big Terrific, 50 First Jokes all in a row. The archives have a least 2 instances of Jo working leading the audience in "I Have Been There". Jo was SO busy in 2014 and 2015 that... we didn't even make it to 2016 in this episode. A perfect excuse to have her back for another episode.

Not every dream job is YOUR dream job. Brooks enters the archives in 2014, when he's at a coveted job in comedy. He didn't love it. We get into it in this episode. This episode goes over Shane’s move from Portland to NYC, getting rock-ig-nized, and getting better at the business side of things. We sorted through about half her photos and didn't get to more recent days, but we did get to the "Party Nights" cover. And we skipped ahead to chat about her current special, "What's Her Secret".  Emmy will be back for an episode two... our chat was pretty fast-paced but we still only got through one box of photos! Alison first walks by the archives at Whiplash in 2011 and I photograph her for real in 2013! Call it the comedy pipeline, infrastructure, ladder... whatever it was, it changed significantly from 2011 to today. We get into it in this interview. Alison also wrote about the aftermath of her show, "Oh God, A Show About Abortion". I think it's one of the best documents of this time we're in. She has a book out THIS WEEK. Book release show at the Bell House on July 7. You can hear more of her on the Ruined podcast.
