The good news is that it’s preventable, but hydration can quickly become confusing if you don’t understand the basics. There are many factors involved. Camping is frequently misunderstood. The commonly spoken word is that we cramp because we have low electrolytes or low hydration. But this simply is not the case. Low hydration is a factor, but it's not the primary contributing force to our muscle cramps. 

 Cramping is introduced when our body has given more than it can take.  What creates this fatigue can be numerous different factors.  The biggest factor is EAMC: Exercise-Associated Muscle Cramps. The definition is: involuntary painful muscle spasms triggered by exertion beyond what the body is conditioned for.
