The Shelter Series continues with Gina, founder of Korean K9 Rescue. While visiting family in South Korea, Gina found a “shelter” that was just cages in an open field, and a few hundred feet down the road, a dog meat farm holding 200 dogs. She brought a few dogs back to New York. Today her rescue runs a 20,000-square-foot rehabilitation center outside Seoul and has placed more than 3,700 dogs in the tri-state area.

Andrew and co-host Ana talk with Gina about Jindos, the “pit bulls of Korea,” why she requires every adopter to work with a dog trai...

Shane Hudson has volunteered at his local municipal shelter in Michigan for six years. It started with his own dog, Weller, a friendly 90-pound pit bull mix who became so reactive that Shane couldn’t take him anywhere. He’d been told never to correct a dog. He learned to reward everything and had no way to stop anything, until one afternoon in a friend’s backyard changed how he saw training.

In this episode of the Doggie Stoic Shelter Series, Andrew and co-host Ana talk with Shane about:

Baby Ruth, the “unadoptable” dog who now loves crow...

For five and a half years, Brendan and Mia did everything they were told. They hired a local force-free trainer, worked with a veterinary behaviorist, tried medication, and followed every protocol. Their Goldendoodle Hallie only got worse. She guarded food, toys, napkins, and anything that hit the floor, in a house with two young children. Eventually every expert they trusted gave them the same answer: she was terminal. Then they found Dylan Jones. Two months after Dylan's case video, Death Sentence Denied: Balanced Training Saves Lives, drew 30,000 views and a wave of backlash, Hallie's owners sit down with Doggie...
