New week, new opportunities, and welcome back to Trading With Jesus. Today we’re in Genesis Chapter 30, and before we ever get to trading, the foundation has to be biblical.

It's Saturday and today we’re in Genesis Chapter 29, and this chapter is filled with love, disappointment, waiting, and the reality that life does not always unfold the way we expect.

Today we’re in Genesis Chapter 28, and Jacob is in a transition season. He is leaving one place, heading toward another, carrying the weight of his past, and unsure of what comes next.

Today we’re in Genesis Chapter 27, and this chapter is messy. Jacob deceives Isaac, Rebekah helps orchestrate it, Esau is devastated, and yet somehow God’s larger purpose still moves forward.

Today we’re in Genesis Chapter 26, and this chapter shows us what it looks like to trust God in a dry season. Famine hits the land, pressure rises, and Isaac has to decide whether he will move out of fear or stay where God told him to stay.

Today we’re in Genesis Chapter 25, and this chapter is all about legacy, inheritance, and the danger of trading something valuable for something temporary.

It's Monday and today we’re in Genesis Chapter 24, and this chapter is all about guidance, obedience, and trusting God’s hand even when you cannot see the full picture.

It's Sunday and today we’re in Genesis Chapter 23, and this chapter looks simple on the surface. Sarah dies, Abraham grieves, and then he purchases a burial place for her. But underneath that story is a powerful picture of faith, hope, and trusting God beyond what you can currently see.

It’s Saturday and today we’re in Genesis Chapter 22, one of the clearest pictures of the Gospel in the Old Testament. Abraham is told to offer Isaac, the son God had promised him. Everything seemed to be on the line. Yet Abraham moved in obedience, trusting the character of God even when he could not understand the situation.

Today we’re in Genesis Chapter 21, and this chapter is all about fulfillment. After years of waiting, questioning, mistakes, and moments of doubt, the promise finally arrives. Isaac is born. What God said He would do, He did.

Today we’re in Genesis Chapter 20, and what stands out immediately is that Abraham repeats a mistake we have already seen before. Out of fear, he tells Abimelech that Sarah is his sister. Abraham had already walked with God, already seen God move, already received promises, and yet he still falls back into an old pattern. That should humble us, because spiritual maturity does not mean we become incapable of repeating mistakes. It means we keep bringing those failures back under the grace and truth of God.

Today we’re in Genesis Chapter 19, and this chapter is heavy because it shows us judgment, mercy, urgency, and the danger of lingering when God is calling you to move. Sodom and Gomorrah had become deeply corrupt, and judgment was coming. But right in the middle of that, God showed mercy to Lot and his family.

Today we’re in Genesis Chapter 18, and this chapter centers on a question that still hits hard today: “Is anything too hard for the Lord?” Sarah hears that she will have a son even though, from a human perspective, the promise looks impossible. She laughs because what God said does not match what she can currently see. But God is not limited by what looks possible to us.

Today we’re in Genesis Chapter 17, and this chapter is about covenant, identity, transformation, and trusting God when the promise still looks impossible. Abram is 99 years old when God appears to him and says, “I am God Almighty.” Before God changes Abram’s circumstances, He reminds him who He is.

Today we’re in Genesis Chapter 16, and this chapter is really about what happens when waiting gets uncomfortable. God had already promised Abram descendants, but the promise had not happened yet. Sarai got tired of waiting and tried to create the outcome herself. The result was pain, tension, and confusion.

Today we’re in Genesis Chapter 15, and this chapter is about trusting God when the promise is clear but the evidence is not. Abram has already obeyed, already moved, already believed, but he still has not seen the child God promised him. That tension is where Genesis 15 meets us: what do you do when God has spoken, but your present reality does not yet look like the promise?

Today we’re in Genesis Chapter 14, and this chapter gives us a powerful picture of Jesus as our King, our High Priest, and our true source of blessing. Abram has just come out of battle after rescuing Lot, and then suddenly Melchizedek appears — king of Salem and priest of God Most High. He brings out bread and wine, blesses Abram, and gives glory to God for the victory.

Today we’re in Genesis Chapter 13, and this chapter gives us a powerful lesson about trust, humility, appearances, and the danger of making decisions based only on what looks good in front of us. Abram and Lot had both been blessed, but their possessions had grown so much that the land could no longer support them together. Instead of fighting for the better portion, Abram gave Lot the first choice. Lot looked up and saw the Jordan Valley, green, fertile, and attractive, and he chose what looked best. Abram stayed behind and trusted God.

Today we’re in Genesis Chapter 12, and this chapter is all about faith, obedience, promise, and stepping forward when you cannot see the full picture. God tells Abram to leave his country, his people, and his father’s household and go to a land that He would show him. Abram does not receive every detail up front. He receives a promise and a call to trust.

Today we’re in Genesis Chapter 11, and this chapter gives us one of the clearest pictures in Scripture of what happens when human ambition gets disconnected from God. The people at Babel came together and said, “Let us make a name for ourselves.” They wanted security, significance, recognition, and greatness, but they wanted all of it apart from God.

New day, new week, but with today being a bank holiday, this is a good opportunity to slow down, stay out of unnecessary action, and use the time to reflect, backtest, and sharpen your process. Today we’re in Genesis Chapter 10, and at first glance this chapter can look like nothing more than a long list of names, nations, and family lines. But when we slow down, we see something bigger: God is working through generations, people groups, and history itself to move His redemptive plan forward. What looks random to us is not random to God.

Today we’re in Genesis Chapter 9, and this chapter is centered around covenant, faithfulness, mercy, and new beginnings. After the flood, God speaks to Noah and establishes a covenant with him, promising never again to destroy the earth by flood. Then He gives the rainbow as a sign of that promise. What stands out is this: God’s faithfulness was not built on Noah’s perfection. It was built on God’s character. And that points us directly to Jesus.

Today we’re in Genesis Chapter 8, and this chapter is all about what happens after the storm. The floodwaters begin to recede, the ark comes to rest, the dove returns with an olive leaf, and for the first time in a long time, Noah can see signs that a new beginning is coming. But the chapter starts with something powerful: “God remembered Noah.” That does not mean God had forgotten him. It means God acted on Noah’s behalf. In the middle of what probably felt like a long season of waiting, God was still working.

Today we’re in Genesis Chapter 7, and this chapter gives us one of the clearest pictures in Scripture of judgment, obedience, rescue, and refuge. The floodwaters rise, the world outside the ark is overtaken, but Noah and his family are preserved because they trusted what God said and entered the place of safety He provided. And when we look at this chapter through the lens of the Gospel, the ark points us forward to Jesus Christ.

Today we’re in Genesis Chapter 6, and this chapter gives us a powerful picture of what it looks like to remain faithful when the world around you is moving in the opposite direction. Genesis 6 describes a world filled with corruption, violence, and wickedness. Humanity had drifted so far from God that Scripture says His heart was deeply grieved. But then we get one of the most important verses in the chapter: “But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord.” In the middle of a corrupt generation, Noah stood out, not because he was perfect, but because he walked...

Today we’re in Genesis Chapter 5, and at first glance this chapter can feel like just a long genealogy. Name after name. Generation after generation. “And he died.” But buried inside that repetition is a powerful message about sin, hope, faithfulness, and ultimately Jesus Christ.

Today we’re in Genesis Chapter 4, and this chapter shows us something every believer and every trader needs to understand: if you do not deal with what is happening in your heart, eventually it will show up in your actions.

As we step into a new trading week, Genesis Chapter 3 gives us one of the most important lessons we can carry with us: not every voice deserves to be trusted.

Sundays are a good reminder that before the charts, before the goals, before the money, before all the noise of the week, we need to come back to Jesus. Genesis Chapter 2 gives us a beautiful picture of that because it shows us a God who is not distant. He is personal. He forms Adam from the dust, breathes life into him, places him in the garden, gives him purpose, and provides everything he needs. From the very beginning, humanity was created to live in relationship with God.

As we head into the weekend, this is a good time to slow down, step away from the charts for a moment, and refocus on what matters most. Trading can consume a lot of our attention during the week, but today I want to take us all the way back to the beginning — Genesis Chapter 1 — because before there was ever a market, before there was money, before there was business, before there was anything we see around us, there was God. And when we really understand Genesis 1, we also begin to see that Jesus was there from the very begi...

John chapter 21 brings us to a beautiful moment after the resurrection. Jesus is alive, the tomb is empty, and yet the disciples are still trying to understand what life looks like now. Peter and several others return to fishing, something familiar, something they know how to do. They work through the night and catch nothing. Then Jesus appears on the shore.

Before we look at the charts today, John chapter 20 brings us to the foundation of everything we believe: Jesus Christ is risen.

Before we look at the charts today, John chapter 19 brings us to the cross, the place where the darkest moment in human history becomes the center of our hope.

Before we look at the charts today, John chapter 18 brings us into one of the darkest moments in the Gospel, but it also gives us one of the clearest pictures of the strength, authority, and faithfulness of Jesus.

It’s Monday, and before we think about the charts or the week ahead, John chapter 17 brings us into one of the most intimate moments in all of Scripture. Jesus is praying to the Father just before the cross, and in that prayer we get a glimpse of His heart, His mission, and His love for His people.

It’s Sunday, so before we think about the week ahead, John chapter 16 brings us back to the person and promises of Jesus Christ.

It’s Saturday, and before we review the charts or think about what needs to change next week, John chapter 15 brings us back to something even more important: where our life, strength, and fruitfulness actually come from.

Before we look at the charts today, John chapter 14 brings us face-to-face with the identity, promises, and presence of Jesus Christ.

Before we look at the charts today, John chapter 13 gives us a picture of Jesus that completely overturns the world’s definition of greatness.

Before we look at the charts today, John chapter 12 brings us into the final days before the cross, and it teaches us a lot about worship, kingship, belief, sacrifice, and what it really means to follow Jesus.
