First and foremost, happy Father’s Day to all the fathers out there carrying the responsibility of leading, providing, protecting, and setting the example for the next generation. Today I want to spend some time in the Book of Proverbs chapter 7, because I believe this chapter teaches something every man, every father, and every trader needs to understand: when emotion begins leading your decisions, destruction is usually not far behind. Whether in life, in leadership, or in trading, discipline will always matter more than temporary feelings.

Today I want to spend some time in the Book of Proverbs chapter 6, because this chapter carries a powerful reminder that success and failure are often not decided in one major moment, but through the small habits we build every single day. As traders, we often focus on finding the perfect strategy, the perfect setup, or the perfect entry, but God continually reminds us that character and discipline will always matter more than talent alone.

Today I want to spend some time in Book of Proverbs chapter 4, because I believe this chapter speaks directly to something every trader fights daily, and that is the battle happening internally. Most people think trading is about mastering strategy, understanding price action, or finding the perfect setup, but the longer you trade, the more you realize the real battle is not on the charts. The real battle is happening within you.

Today I want to spend some time in Book of Proverbs chapter 3, and I truly believe this chapter carries a message every trader needs to hear. In trading, one of the hardest battles we face has nothing to do with charts, indicators, or strategy. The hardest battle is surrendering control. As traders, we naturally want certainty. We want to know where price is going, when to enter, when to exit, and how to avoid loss altogether. But God reminds us that life was never meant to be lived leaning entirely on our own understanding.

Today I want to spend some time in Book of Proverbs chapter 2, and I think this chapter hits especially hard for anyone walking the journey of trading, entrepreneurship, or building anything that requires patience and discipline. The chapter opens by telling us that if we seek wisdom like silver and search for it like hidden treasure, then we will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God. Think about that for a second. Most traders spend countless hours chasing profits, hunting entries, backtesting strategies, and looking for the next edge in the market. But God...

Good morning and welcome back to Trading With Jesus. It’s Monday, a brand new week, and before we jump into charts, setups, profits, losses, or the emotions that come with trading, I want us to anchor ourselves in Book of Proverbs Chapter 1. Right out of the gate, God gives us a powerful reminder: “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” That means real success — not just in trading, but in life — starts with putting God first. So many traders spend years chasing strategy after strategy, indicator after indicator, looking for the se...

Today we’re anchored in the Book of Proverbs 13:11, where the scripture says, Wealth gained hastily will dwindle, but whoever gathers little by little will increase it. That verse speaks directly to how we approach growth, especially in trading, because naturally we want things fast. Fast wins, fast payouts, fast progress. But the scripture gives a warning… what comes quickly without foundation usually doesn’t last.

Today we’re anchored in James 1:5, where the scripture says, “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. That verse is simple, but it’s something a lot of people overlook, especially in trading.

Today we’re anchored in Gospel of Matthew 5:10, where Jesus Christ says, “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” That verse flips the way we normally think, because Jesus is saying you can be blessed even when things feel difficult, even when you’re facing resistance, even when doing the right thing costs you.

Today we’re anchored in Romans 4:1–12, where the scripture teaches that Abraham was made righteous not because of what he did, but because he believed God. “Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness.” — Romans 4:3. That’s a major shift because it shows that right standing with God is not earned through performance, it’s received through faith.

Today we’re anchored in Gospel of Matthew 5:8, where Jesus Christ says, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” — Matthew 5:8. That verse is powerful because it shifts the focus from what you do… to why you do it. Jesus isn’t talking about outward performance, He’s talking about the condition of your heart. Because you can look disciplined on the outside, but internally be driven by pride, greed, pressure, or the need to prove something.

Good morning fam!! Welcome back to Trading with Jesus. Today we’re anchored in Gospel of Matthew 5:6, where Jesus Christ says, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.” — Matthew 5:6 (ESV). That verse hits because it exposes what you’re really chasing. Hunger and thirst aren’t casual, they’re intense, they’re urgent, they’re necessary. And Jesus is saying that same level of desire should be directed toward righteousness, toward being aligned with God, not just getting results.

Today we’re stepping back and resetting our perspective. We’re anchored in Gospel of John 8:58, where Jesus says, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am.” That statement is powerful because Jesus isn’t just saying He existed before Abraham, He’s saying something much deeper. He doesn’t say “I was”… He says “I AM.” That’s the same name God gave in Exodus, which means Jesus is not just part of history, He’s outside of it, eternal, unchanging, fully God.

Not just believing in Jesus, but being close enough to recognize His voice. And that’s important because there are a lot of voices out there. Fear, doubt, social media, other traders, your own emotions. And if you’re not grounded, you’ll start following whatever is loudest instead of what is right.

That’s not just being tired, that’s being empty. Mentally, emotionally, physically. And trading can take you there fast. What stands out is that they didn’t wait until everything felt good to pray, they prayed in the middle of pressure. They were threatened, tested, and uncertain, but instead of reacting emotionally, they went to God first. And that’s the reset for today, because a lot of us are used to reacting first and praying late...

That verse shifts everything from your ability to God’s power. A lot of people are trying to stay disciplined, control emotions, and be consistent in their own strength, but that only lasts for so long. “The fear of man lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is safe.”

— Proverbs 29:25

That word “snare” means trap. And honestly, a lot of people are trapped without even realizing it. Trapped by opinions. Trapped by validation. Trapped by comparison. Trapped by the pressure to prove something to other people.

And trading exposes that quickly.

Today we’re anchored in Galatians 5:16, and Paul the Apostle says:

“But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.”— Galatians 5:16

That verse is powerful because Paul is revealing that there’s a constant battle happening internally. The Spirit pulls you toward discipline, peace, patience, wisdom, and alignment with God. The flesh pulls you toward impulse, emotion, pride, fear, greed, and temporary satisfaction.

Today we’re in First Corinthians 15, and this chapter is all about the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the victory He secured over death, and the eternal hope believers now have because of Him. Paul the Apostle makes it clear that the resurrection is not a side issue, it is the foundation of everything. He says, “…Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures… he was buried… he was raised on the third day…” — 1 Corinthians 15:3–4. The resurrection is proof that Jesus conquered sin, death, and the grave. And because He lives, we live with hope that goes beyond temporary outcomes

Real maturity produces peace, order, clarity, and alignment.

Paul the Apostle explains that even though he had certain rights and freedoms, he willingly gave some of them up so nothing would interfere with the bigger mission God gave him. And honestly, that mindset is rare today. Most people ask, “What can I do?” but Paul asks, “What actually helps me stay aligned?” That’s maturity. Today we’re in First Epistle Corinthians 3, and this chapter is all about growth, maturity, and what you’re actually building. Paul the Apostle calls people out for being believers but still moving immature. He says they’re still acting like beginners, caught up in jealousy, comparison, and division. And if we’re being real, that shows up in trading too. Comparing yourself to other traders, chasing what someone else is doing, getting frustrated when things don’t go your way, that’s not strategy, that’s immaturity.
