In this week's episode we looked at some of the similarities that Nehemiah possessed that makes him comparable to that of a healthy tree. A healthy tree has a firm foundation and is able to withstand negative environmental condition such as bad weather. Like a healthy tree, Nehemiah's foundation was the Lord. He was sure to rise despite the odds because his foundation was firm and unmovable. We also see from scripture that He was able to withstand the negativity in his environment (Sanballat and Tobiah).

As you rise to rebuild what God has called you to, stay focused!

In this week's episode we looked at the story of Nehemiah how he rose to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. This did not come without it's challenges. From being undermined to learning of the schemes and plots of the enemy, Nehemiah knew it would need the supernatural hand of God to help him rebuild the walls.

One of the most admirable things that stood out from the scripture was that Nehemiah remained focused though all the noise from how his enemies.

"And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise." - Heb 6:15

Endurance is fueled by patience. If you lack patience you will not be able to endure anything. In Hebrews 6:15, the Bible tells us that Abraham was able to obtain the promise through his patient endurance.

Through the process of endurance, things will not be easy but the process is meant to build and not break you. It takes focus to go through any season of endurance successfully. For if we ever lose sight of the end goal, we may end up giving...

In this week's episode we spoke about Rising With Wisdom. Wisdom is a vital part of our rising because it is developed through our experiences. It is that wisdom that will echo our value and help us determine what we should accept and what we should not.

This wisdom comes from understanding the price we have paid and the price we continue to pay in order to walk in greatness.

Many times we are so eager to 'go' and 'do' when God wants us to wait. Waiting is not desirable but it is very necessary. Waiting not only prepare us but it also protects us.

In this episode we continued looking at the topic 'Stewarding Purpose', highlighting the importance of understanding times and seasons.

As believers we must be vigilant to seize the opportune times (kairos moments) that the Lord will give us and not allow procrastination to become our routine.

If we fail to recognize these opportune moments we may miss out on what God is doing in the current moment and be stuck in a past encounter with Him.

Joshua served Moses with humility and never complained about his role. When Moses died, the Lord called Joshua to that leadership position. Had Joshua not prepared himself in a former season, He wouldn't have been able to function effectively when it was time for him to do so.

In this week's episode, we looked at Stewarding Purpose. Stewardship means managing something that belongs to someone else. Jesus, as a preteen, was more excited about the knowledge he could gain from the doctors and teachers in the Temple. This was one of the ways Jesus stewarded his purpose.

The call to be great was extended to us from our very inception. Abram, whose name was later changed to Abraham, was the Father of many nations. The Lord had made a covenant with Abraham. "Preservation prolongs longevity. It creates a hedge of protection around our gifts, talents and skills so that contaminants from our environment don't deteriorate, spoil or reduce their shelf life." What God has given to you are not just random thoughts and ideas. They are valuable gifts and talents that should be preserved from environmental contaminants such as friends, families, bosses and spouses. It is only when we preserve that which we are given, that we will be able to steward it well.
