The Old Kids Movies
Revisit millennial kids movies! Trevor Howell and AJ Beltis recount the popular, obscure, and forgotten movies of our childhood, asking ourselves if the movie still holds up, what it would take to release the movie today, and look at where the stars are now.
Coraline
Another stop-motion Halloween kids flick to follow up our discussions on Wallace and Gromit and The Nightmare Before Christmas, we decided to chat about 2009's Coraline. We discuss the beautiful animation, laggy strange dance-filled middle, and the thrilling conclusion that most skeptics (like AJ) should still love.
Happy Halloween!

What was intended as a DCOM Power Hour turned into a power two hours as we cover our (potentially) last Disney Channel Original Movies ever on The Old Kids Movies.
In this episode, we talk about how we – as two 30+ year old men – just don't see DCOMs the way we used to, and while we cherish the role they had in our lives and on this show, it's time to bid them farewell on this podcast.
To send the DCOM off properly, we cover four different original movies from Disney Channel in-depth. They are:

Time to go back to school! We're revisiting 1995's Billy Madison to talk about Sandler's role in our childhoods as a gateway to PG-13 comedies and how we look at his talents now. Also, O'Doyle rules, The Puppy Who Lost His Way, do you have any more gum, yada yada yada.

It's the twelve-year anniversary of Boyhood! Not exactly an old kids movie, but there's no way we could let this movie's milestone anniversary pass without discussing it.
Mason graduated high school the year between Trevor and AJ – and this movie perfectly captures so much of what we experienced as Millennial/Gen-Z cusps.

Spooky Season is upon us!
1999's Don't Look Under the Bed is celebrating its 25th anniversary. To commemorate the scariest – and arguably most controversial – DCOM, we break down the pros and cons of the scares, world-building, and presence of Larry Houdini.
Before we get to the film, we spend the first 20 minutes of this episode discussing the state of horror content for kids: where it's at right now, how it peaked in the early 2000s, and how to best introduce kids to scary movies and shows (in our completely unprofessional opinions).
