This week we cover the F1 race in Monza and the Indycar finale at Laguna Seca. In F1, Kimi Antonelli obviously had his morning Espresso as he went from the back  to the front to challenge George Rus-tretto for the win. It was a great weekend for the French Press as Alpine took a surprising pole, while, at their home race, Ferrari did not deliver and instead we saw a Cold war Brewing. This week we cover the two Indycar races in Milwaukee, as Palou looks to wrap up the championship. Despite rain causing significant disruption to the weekend, the Milwaukee Mile delivers some fun races with every round of pit stops seemingly shuffling the pack a little. The only real constant being Rahal and Siegel getting in the way. After Honda comfortably win the manufacturers championship, they take their foot off the gas as Chevy somehow dominates in both races. This week we cover the return of F1 in Zandvoort following the summer break and the Freedom 250 on the streets of Washington DC in Indycar. Changeable weather conditions led to an apparently nervous Lando Norris defenestrating himself pre-race to reach the track, although more likely it was just to avoid Craig Slater. We also learnt that Max Verstappen signed a new 3 year deal with Red Bull this week which apparently included the option to watch the race from the pitlane if he so wishes. This week we cover FE in London and Indycar Markham. It was a dramatic end to the FE season as team-mates, and even customer-team-mates, got involved in a tight battle for the championship. A chaotic end to race 2 determined the overall winner which overshadowed an incredible fumble by Mahindra, who somehow lost a race no one was trying to win. A trip to the new street circuit in Markham also provided a dramatic race in Indycar, as it levelled the playing field, allowing both rookies, Foster and Schumacher and oldies, Grosjean, Power, and Ericsson, to shine.

This week we cover the Indycar race in Portland, as it embarks on 6 races in 5 weeks. The theme this weekend was silliness,  as silly-season is in full swing in Formula E and Indycar as the Erik(c)ssons are resigned, but true silliness was to be found on the international feed as Kevin Lee and Renus VeeKay join the fray. On track, we again spent the time hoping that someone, anyone, would step up to challenge Palou and this week it was FRO and POW who gave it a go, but did they prevail or will Álex’s incredible luck...

Since none of our usual series were racing this weekend, we take the opportunity to revisit Drive to Survive season 1. With 8 years of hindsight, we recap the episodes and pick out the funny, the ironic, and the cringeworthy moments from the first season of the show that has arguably had the biggest impact on F1 in the last decade.

This week we cover the Formula 1 and Formula 2 races at Spa-Francorchamps. It’s hard to avoid conspiratorial thinking as George Russell’s car suffers further issues that don’t seem to affect Kimi Antonelli’s car and lenient stewarding and a suspiciously long VSC greatly advantage Leclerc. Conspiracies continue in F2 as Camara and Inthraphuvasak somehow avoid penalties and a very good weekend for Invicta Racing is and a very very bad weekend for Leon. Unfortunately the FIFA World Cup and the weather combine to postpone the Indycar race in Nashville, which we will cover in next week's episode.

This week we cover the World Endurance Championship in Sao Paulo, but start by discussing the Goodwood Festival of Speed where Dan Ticktum, driving the Gen4 Formula E car, attempts to beat a rear wing with wheels at driving up a hill. In this episode we cover the nonstop weekend of motorsport that was the Formula 1, Formula 2, and F1 Academy races at Silverstone, the two Formula E races in Shanghai, and the Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio. Bizarrely for Indycar, that race didn’t feature a single yellow flag, which would have been useful in FE, as none of the drivers actually obeyed them. In fact, a lot of bizarre things happened this weekend: Dixon leaving CGR after 24 years, a wildcard getting pole in F1A, someone winning 3 back-to-back races in F2, and most improbable Lola Yamaha ABT winning a race in FE...

This week we cover the F1 Austrian GP where double trouble in qualifying thankfully prevents a front-row lock-out from Mercedes. However, there are several unsolved mysteries such as how the Red Bull car worked suspiciously well at the Red Bull Ring, how lifting off the throttle made you go faster, and how the F2 stewards were so lenient (unless your name is Stenshorne). The F2 races provided the best action as the reverse grid race became a reverse championship race and apple reveal the new ipod-cast Mini.

This week we cover the Indycar Race at Road America and the Formula E race in Sanya. Despite being completely different formats, there were a lot of similarities between the two races. Both had trigger happy race directors, both finished with the green/white/checkered combo, both featured screw ups from defending champions, and in both Andretti were surprisingly competitive.

This week we cover the Barcelona-Catalunya GP in F1 and attempt to cover the 24 hours of Le Mans. It was a big day for sportsmen over 40 as Novak Djokovic was in attendance to wave the checked flag, Alonso got to live his dream of watching the race from his own stand, and Hamilton was looking to build on his recent form and make use of the latest updates from Ferrari. In F2, Rafa (Câmara not Nadal) impressed again in qualifying, but can he bring home the win this time and avoid another admonishment from his own race engineer? F...

This week we cover the F1 race in Monaco and the Indycar race in St. Louis, both of which featured red flags, treating us to some fun shots of drivers having to hurriedly run back to their cars. This year Monaco shockingly delivered an exciting race, despite having little to no overtaking, as per usual. This was due to a plethora of mechanical issues and penalties that shook up the field to such an extent that Cadillac or Aston Martin were actually battling for points. This week we cover the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix in Indycar, where, as you’d expect, the Chevrolet engines performed as poorly as usual. In a race where the stewards took revenge for their recent criticism by officiating at random, we were repeatedly tantalized by the prospect of someone challenging Palou for the win. We also briefly cover a few of the feeder series races where F1 Academy champion Abbi Pulling got her first win in GB3.

This week we cover an extraordinary weekend of motorsport with F1, F2, and F1 Academy in Canada and the 110th running of the Indianapolis 500. In F1, we finally get to see the silver arrows version of Papaya Rules, aka Mercedes Manners, play out, as Antonelli and Russell clash on track. In F2, Rodin come good as Dunne and Horny show their pace, and in F1A, Palmowski shows why she is the favorite to win the championship this year. This week we cover the Formula E races in Monaco and the qualifying for the 110th running of the Indianapolis 500. We got to watch Cupra Kiro learning strategy in real-time as they attempted to capitalise on Dan Ticktum’s strong qualifying performance. Felix Rosenqvist was unexpectedly strong In the Indy 500 qualifying, while in the 24hrs of Nurburgring, Max Verstappen was expectedly strong. However the most surprising event of the weekend was a double points finish for Lola Yamaha.

This week we cover the Indy GP on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course. An exciting race was shaken up by the brazen disregard for safety shown by Race Control who preferred to save the leaders pit strategy than save a stranded Rossi. We also ask if mandatory paternal leave should be enforced in Indycar as new father Rosenqvist causes a pile up, and whether Andretti screwing up a pitstop constitutes a spoiler or not. We also stop by WEC in Spa to see some BMW domination.

This week F1 returned after its long 5 week hiatus with the Miami GP, and it was a good weekend for Mercedes as Kimi Antonelli made F1 history and the Mercedes engine proved its dominance. McLaren, Ferrari, and Red Bull all brought upgrades to Miami which improved the competition, which gives us some hope for the championship, at least until Mercedes bring their upgrades at the next race in Canada. This week we cover the season-opening races in FREC and GB3 and use this as an excuse to do a deep dive into the whole F1 feeder series ladder, from F2 down to F4. We dig into the main contenders in a few of these series as we review what’s happened in FREC, GB3, GB4, IndyNXT and F3 so far this season, which is mainly safety cars and red flags, but the main takeaway is that it’s a good year to be called Nikita or Nakamura.

A Green Day livery for the Meyer Shank #60 car gave the Fox Sports crew liberty to make pun after pun, however since Flavor Flav was also in attendance, it was less Know Your Enemy and more Public Enemy. This week we cover the F1 race in China and the Indycar race in Arlington. In F1, the mechanical carnage predicted last week comes true, as only 15 of the 22 cars finish the race. Still, we got to see plenty of leapfrogging, the new term we invent for the ‘artificial’ racing we get with these new regulations. This week sees the welcome return of Indycar and we cover all the action from St. Petersburg. To make up for 6 long months of off-season, we binge watch FP1, FP2, qualifying, warmup, and the race itself which proved to be an overdose of Will Buxton for Emma, who also binged Drive to Survive season 8. Formula 1 is almost back, so this week we preview the upcoming season. We discuss all the driver, team, and rule changes for 2026, that are supposed to deliver better racing. We also ask what success might look like for each team, from a constructors championship for Mercedes to not coming last for Aston Martin and Cadillac. Finally we attempt to make some predictions, so listen to the end to find out if either of us is crazy enough to predict a Gasly win or even an Antonelli drivers championship.

This week we present our preview/primer for the upcoming Indycar season. Although, we do admit it’s a little early, given one driver hasn’t been officially announced and it’s even unclear whether one team will actually participate this year. Still, we review some of the reasons why we love Indycar, before discussing the cars, the tracks, the teams, and the drivers for 2026. We try to give a bit of information and context for all the teams, including the ultimate simplification of just calling a certain team, team evil.

The cold conditions caused many teams to gamble on their tyre pressures, leading to an interesting mix of drivers at the front. Can Drugovich show his potential? Can Evans return to winning ways? This week we cover the famous 24hrs of Daytona, traditionally the start to the racing year. Although, this time, it was actually more like 17 hrs of Daytona due to a thick blanket of fog for most of the night. In fact, the only car that could be clearly seen was the fluorescence green and yellow number #911 car, or equivalently, the grello’s in the mist. This week we cover the first proper race of the new year, namely Formula E in Mexico. In the 150th Formula E race, we saw DS Penske incorrectly celebrate for too long, Nyck De Vries sit in a broken car for too long, and Edo Mortara wait too long (to take his final attack mode). As the off-season continues, we turn to the Amazon Prime TV show Formula E: Driver for our motorsport sustenance. The Drive to Survive clone follows Ticktum, Wehrlein, Barnard, da Costa, and Rowland during the 2024/2025 season. We review the four episodes of season two, which saw an actual rivalry between Pascal and António, an attempted rivalry between Dan and Taylor, and a lot of angry curtain pulls. Thankfully FE returns next week.

In this week’s episode we review the F1 season just finished. We go all the way back to March 2025 and look at how it all started for the 20 drivers on the grid this year. We recap the major incidents throughout the full, 24 race, calendar including unexpected podiums, unexpected exits, numerous false dawns for Ferrari, and the inescapable Papaya Rules. We also decide if it was a good, bad, or mid season for each driver before asking how we think this season will be remembered in the future.

It’s our end of year honours shows, the spectacular Pato Awards. Who will win the coveted Pato statuette for Driver of the Year? Who will win Rookie of the Year? And who will win Baby Boy of the year? We also give out the Oscar (Piastri) for best scriptwriting (aka most surprising incident), an Emmy for outstanding attack mode (named for co-host Emma’s weekly feature), an (Aurelia) Nobels peace prize for best rivalry, the Leclerc prize for saddest moment, and the Flavio Briatore conspiracy of the year, amongst other awards.
