On July 6th 1992 Marsha P. Johnson was found floating facedown in the Hudson River.  Her death was quickly ruled a suicide, but she had blunt force trauma to the back of the head. Sadly as a black transgender female, her case did not get the attention it deserved from police, but she did gain recognition around the world. She was an activist, an advocate, and a self titled drag queen known for her involvement in the Stonewall Riots and so much more.

On Sunday June 24th 1973 The Upstairs Lounge in New Orleans was in full swing with people drinking, dancing, and laughing into the night. This was a well known gay bar in the French Quarter safe from prying eyes as it was located on the second floor.  By 8:00PM panic would set in for patrons as a fire blazed on the floor below trapping everyone in the bar upstairs. In the Spring of 1983 Debra Newton left her home in Kentucky for Altanta Georgia with her 3 year old daughter Michelle cutting off all ties with her husband and family.  For 42 years no one knew what happened to Debra and Michelle but in Novemeber of 2025, the truth would start to be revealed.
