The Focus: Hope Rekindled After Disappointment

Scripture: John 21:3–7, 12

As we continue our “Risen Indeed” journey, we find the disciples returning to what they knew—fishing—after the resurrection.

Their hopes felt dashed, dreams uncertain. All night, they caught nothing, weighed down by disappointment.

But at dawn, a voice from the shore calls out, guiding them to cast their nets again. Suddenly, their emptiness turns to abundance, and they recognize Jesus waiting with breakfast prepared.
