FAP-342 Anime-Gataris - It's a Love Letter to Anime Fans

This week we are talking about Anime-Gataris which was a recommendation from Major Montana. Was in so many words a love story to the fans of Anime. It hits all the thoughts and lingo that we usually use as well as habits that we use as well when it comes to anime. They in essence called us all out and at the same time broke the 4th wall all to have fun. That being said it was not without it's drawback and they were there for sure. With a shallow story and no real character development this story is...
FAP-341 TenPuru - He Owes Chump Change

This week we are talking about Temple which was a recommendation from Jeb. It was a chaotic ride that also was a fan service heavy show. We dove into Akemitsu’s painful attempts to stay pure while surrounded by anime’s worst temptations, plus the sheer craziness of his dad racking up a 20 million yen debt just so he can try and get a global harem. In the end it was an anime that we laughed at, but because of the chaos we ended rewinding way more than usual just to catch what the hell was happening.

FAP-340 Rokudo Bad Girls - Whiny Hero, Wild Heroines And #TokyoTreat

This week we dive into Rokudo Bad Girls. The story is about a bullied underdog Rokudo who inherits a magic scroll that makes every bad girl, fall head over heels for him any time he’s near. We go into detail about the show and the bold‑lined animation style, and we compare Roku’s nonstop crying to the energy of Tokyo Revengers, we also wonder whether his shift from pushover to protector ever really sticks. In the end this show only really has surface‑level fun with a dash of character growth, even if our hero stays pretty whiny th...
FAP-339 Eight-Six - This Reminds Us of Something

In this episode we dive headfirst into 86’s brutal drone war nonsense. The Republic claims a “bloodless conflict,” but it’s really run on invisible 86ers shoved into glass-cannon mechs. We chat about Lena’s efforts to bring hope to Shin and his crew, and what this anime reminds us of in terms of undertones that were not so subtle. We also touch on Shin’s psychic telepathy angle and that slow-burn connection between him and Lena. Sure, the pacing stumbles with flashbacks on repeat and a few loose threads never get resolved, but the heart of the story still packs...
FAP-338 I May Be Guild Receptionist - Hammers Solve Everything

This week is all about I May Be A Guild Receptionist, But I'll Solo Any Boss To Clock Out On Time with just Jack. Now the story is something that is pretty solid and it had all the makings of a great show. The story was easy enough to follow and it did focus on what the title exactly is and it really highlights her struggles. But also at the same time there is no real depth to some of it and honestly you are left with far more questions then what you are given answers too leaving you w...
FAP-337 Farming Life in Another World - He was made super healthy

This week is all about Farming Life in Another World. Which was a recommendation. It was a nice change of pace from last weeks choice it had it's funny moments and time where it was entertaining but overall it was a show that was very middling for us. Where the faults just seemed to drag it down.Â

FAP-336 Witch Hunter Robin - It's From the Past with #TokyoTreat

This week is all about Witch Hunter Robin with just Jack. The story is about a young pyrokinetic witch working for Solomon. For Jack this is trip down memory lane and for him it was honestly best left there. The lack of certain plot point and the plot holes and slow pacing made it a tough rewatch. While once a personal favorite.

FAP-335 Berserk Of Gluttony - We Are Fueled By Souls

In this episode, we talked all about Berserk Of Gluttony Which was a recommendation from Jeb. We touch on Fate’s gluttony skill, which causes hunger that does not end and it also absorbs the stats and abilities of those he kills monsters and humans alike. The show had a fair number of positive points but it also a decent number of negative points as well.
Next Week's Pick: "Witch Hunter Robin"

FAP-334 GATE Part 2 - Oh Look a Dragon and a Fool

This week we continue with Gate part 2Â an isekai that take a different approach to the usually genre. And just like part 1 it did not disappoint at all. We get some resolutions that we were hoping for. The story progressed in a way that we predicted, it answered most of our questions and gave us a somewhat of an ending. All in all this is a story that is worth a watch just not if you are new to the genre.

FAP-333 GATE Part 1 - They Brought Swords to a Battle of Tanks

In this episode we dive into Gate part 1 an isekai that take a different approach to the usually genre and it was a recommendation from "Elf Daddy Girl Issues" and "Danner536". This anime certainly doesn't pull it's punches on how things would likely go when a you pit medieval against modern military dishing out some “f around and find out” pretty much through the whole story. The Character development and story was solid for the show and it was well worth the watch.

FAP-332 I'm Quitting Heroing - Just Jack and some #TokyoTreat

This week is a solo week as Rick is out sick and Jack dives into I'm Quitting Heroing. Thank you Goose for the recommendation! This anime changes up the normal anime narrative for Hero style anime in that rather then a journey to defeat th Demon lord our MC Leo is trying to join them. But that is just the start of it. This anime is well worth the watch and is has some comedic moments but it was still an overall solid story. So if you are looking for something that is unique then this may be for...

FAP-330 Bofuri Season 2 - Cute but also a cookie cutter

This week we dive into the second season of Bofuri: I Don't Want to Get Hurt, so I'll Max Out My Defense. The story largely just continues on with Maple and her guild, Maple Tree, continue exploring new levels and content in the game they play, New World Online. Maple continues to stick to her strategy of only maxing out her defense stat, continually stumbling upon overpowered, game-breaking skills that baffle the game's developers despite the fact that they were the ones that put them in. On thing more notable is that we felt like Season 2 gives more attention...
FAP-329 Code Geass Season 2 - Indirect but also direct eye contact

In this episode, we talked all about Code Geass Season 2. We dug into how it picks up right after the Season 1 cliffhanger, with Lelouch living a normal school life until his memories come back and he jumps right back into leading the Black Knights. Things quickly go from a local rebellion to full-blown global war. We also revisited out discussion on how Lelouch’s Geass works, especially its limits as a result of that some of that talk got a little off-track. But overall, we both agreed Season 2 tied up a lot of loose ends from the first season an...
FAP-328 Code Geass Season 1 - Wade Willson and Opinions

In this episode, we discussed Season 1 of Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion. And while we spent the episode mostly talking about the show and how it had and amazing story with some great writing. We also pointed out a couple of flaws along with a discussion about the Geass power's limits also got pretty heated and went way off into hypotheticals, maybe derailing things a bit. And the biggest negative we both agreed on? That incredibly frustrating cliffhanger ending!

FAP-324 The Saint's Magic Power Is Omnipotent - Accidentally Passed Over The One Needed

This week we discuss "Saint's Magic Power is Omnipotent" a fantasy romance isekai that is not like your typical action-packed isekais, this anime focuses on character growth through a slow-burn narrative following Sei. Instead of dwelling on this, Sei pursues her passions at a research institute where she discovers her magical abilities and lends a helpting hand to her new home. This isn't for viewers seeking fast-paced action but perfect for those who appreciate a strong female lead in a gradual romantic storyline, making it an excellent "palate cleanser" between more intense shows.

FAP-322 Magical Girl Spec-Ops Asuka – Deep talks with a special pop in guest!

This week we talk about Magical Girl Spec Ops Asuka and its dark twist on the magical girl genre. The story follows Asuka, a former magical girl struggling with PTSD, forced back into battle. While the show portrays trauma and military themes, the pacing, forced shifts in tone, and poor character development weaken it as a whole. We debate whether magic undermines the stakes, with Rick arguing it negates physical consequences, while Jack and CJ emphasize the psychological toll.

FAP-313 Heart no Kuni no Alice: Wonderful Wonder World - It Exists With Just Jack

It was a Jack solo episode this week, and it was one that Rick was lucky to miss out on. The pick was inspired by Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, but it went off into parody territory, changing the original tale to fit the writer’s vision. And for Jack, it just didn’t hit the mark. The story felt bland, kind of like it was thrown together without a strong direction. This one definitely is one he won’t be revisiting.

FAP-308 Immoral Guild - Soft Poor Corn is what it is.

In this episode, we dive into the anime Immoral Guild, which is an ecchi-heavy series that certainly is not afraid to push boundaries even in episode 1. The show skates close to the line between fan service and something far more... well you know, with scenes that might feel more "adults-only" than usual. Even with that, underneath all of that, it’s a pretty straightforward story without much in the way of plot progression. For fans of mature anime, Immoral Guild might be entertaining, but it’s definitely not for everyone.

FAP-304 The Reincarnation of the Strongest Exorcist in Another World - Let's Just Go Off In The Weeds

This week we get transported to another world only before we actually get there we get lost in the weeds with random details but after a few minutes we get back on track and then finally get to our destination. And it was an interesting one at that. It takes the normal genre and give the protagonist a set of skills that they had in their previous life but even with that, it ultimately still follows the same tropes for the anime and they also leave out a lot of detail, but even with that it was an entertaining...
