Frances Tiafoe wins the match of the tournament so far, taking down defending champ Jakub Mensik in a thriller. 

Coco Gauff pulled off another comeback win when she defeated Alycia Parks in an entertaining third round showdown. Naomi Osaka was eliminated in round two by Talia Gibson and raises a few doubts about her pro playing career. Jannik Sinner defended Joao Fonseca's contentious comments about he and Alcaraz.

Coco Gauff avenged her Doha defeat to Elisabetta Cocciaretto with a well-earned three-set comeback win in Miami. The victory sets up an intriguing third round showdown with Alycia Parks who seeks the biggest win of her career. Carlos Alcaraz defeated Joao Fonseca in straights in their blockbuster second round. Fonseca said Alcaraz's arsenal makes him a tougher opponent to face compared to Sinner.

Iga Swiatek suffered an rare early loss on Friday when she fell to Magda Linette at the Miami Open. Swiatek got candid with reporters after the match, calling this subpar stretch "the worst nightmare a top player can have." Carlos Alcaraz and Joao Fonseca are confirmed for a second round showdown, Moise Kouame announced himself with a historic win, Venus loses again and Alycia Parks reveals Serena's been coaching her during practice sessions.

Carlos Alcaraz recovered from a set and break down to defeat Arthur Rinderknech and says he's tired of playing guys who play like Roger Federer against him. Chris Eubanks and Coco Vandeweghe had an edgy on-air moment where Eubanks threw some (playful?) shade toward his co-commentator.

Coco Gauff had a sad finish to her Indian Wells blockbuster vs Alex Eala, being forced to retire due to a left arm injury. Aryna Sabalenka and Naomi Osaka are set for their second career showdown in the round of 16, while Jannik Sinner will meet Joao Fonseca for the first time.

Indian Wells (aka "Tennis Paradise" or the BNP Paribas Open) is here which means it's time to break down the draws and predict the champions. The U.S./Israel and Iran conflict forced Daniil Medvedev and a few other top players to remain in Dubai for a few days, while a couple challenger tournaments have been canceled. Aryna Sabalenka is now engaged to her boyfriend Georgios Frangulis.

Nearly 15 years into her pro career, Taylor Townsend has finally reached a WTA tour-level singles semifinal after defeating Rebeka Masarova in Austin at the ATX Open. During her post-match press conference, Taylor spoke about overcoming adversity including an 'unfortunate' coaching split to reach the milestone.

Karolina Muchova has finally ended her title drought after delivering a masterful performance in the Doha finals to defeat Victoria Mboko. The next WTA 1000 in Dubai starts soon, but Sabalenka & Swiatek will be missing. Elena Rybakina is the top seed and could meet Coco Gauff in the semifinals, although the American has a difficult draw (at least for her opening round match). 

Naomi Osaka is in the headlines once more at the Australian Open following a dramatic end to her second round win Sorana Cirstea. Cirstea gave Osaka a salty handshake after Sorana complained of Naomi telling herself c'mon between first and second serves. Stanislas Wawrinka earned the most memorable win of the day, taking down Arthur Gea in 4.5 hours. Nikola Bartunkova gave us the most shocking result with her upset win vs Belinda Bencic.

We witnessed one of the wildest opening days in US Open history that concluded with Daniil Medvedev choking a near incredible comeback victory after berating umpire Greg Allensworth.
