Jim Cornette only briefly appeared in Continental wrestling near the end of the promotion. During the time it was bought by David Woods and booked by Paul Heyman and Eddie Gilbert, Jim Cornette and the Midnight Express were on top of the world in the NWA. But what if, instead of starting Smoky Mountain Wrestling, instead, Jim Cornette would have purchased Continental either instead of David Woods or at the end of the promotion? What if indeed.

Armstrong Alley YouTube channel discovered footage from the spring of 1983 of Alabama's Southeastern Championship Wrestling. He found someone with a previously undiscovered tape out of Montgomery which features, among other things: More legendary heel Bob Armstrong, Buck Robley coming out of a box angle, The Midnight Express, Inc (Dennis Condrey, Randy Rose, Norvell Austin, Mongolian Stomper, etc), Ric Flair, Mr. Olympia, Frank Savage, Ken Lucas, Jimmy Golden, The Flame (Jody Hamilton), Tommy Rogers as U.S. Junior champion, and more...

Shortly after debuting in Florida after training with Hiro Matsuda, Terry Bollea came to the Ron Fuller owned Southeastern Wrestling where he picked up the name 'The Hulk'. Hulk Hogan headlined the largest show ever put together by Southeastern against Andre the Giant in a football stadium in Dothan, Alabama.
