Sunderland AFC came out once again as the top dogs of North East football as we put the mags to shame on their home turf with a 1-2 win at St James' Park.
A win which moves Sunderland onto 55 derby victories to Newcastle's 54 as well as extending our unbeaten league run against the visitors to 11 games.

The lads blew a big opportunity to reach the quarter finals of the FA Cup after an embarrassing performance against League One strugglers Port Vale led to a 1-0 defeat.
Despite the pitch being in a poor condition, it was still no excuse for such a weak performance.

Leeds 0-1 Sunderland AFC - Review
The lads were back in the seemingly unlucky 3rd black kit for the trip to Elland Road to face a Leeds team that had an impressive record of night games in their backyard.
However, The lads ripped up the script and managed to put in a gutsy performance and snatch a 0-1 win thanks to an iffy penalty from Habib Diarra.

A difficult game on paper but the lads fought for a point after an eventful 1-1 draw with the focus being on the match officials and VAR.

Despite going a long way through the season without losing at home, the lads have now lost back to back home games after this 1-3 defeat to Fulham.
2 wins in our last 11 games is possibly the signal that our faint european ambitions are slowly fading away.

Tough game at Arsenal ended in a 3-0 defeat at the hands of the league leaders. Scoreline did feel a bit harsh given the performance the lads put in.

The lads put the disappointment of the West Ham defeat behind them to maintain our unbeaten home record with a comfortable 3-0 over Burnley at the Staidum of Light.

Regis Le Bris surprised us all with a relatively strong 11 to play Everton at their new stadium in the 3rd round of the FA Cup.
After 120 minutes it was 1-1 which meant a penalty shootout to decide who would go into the draw for round 4. Robin Roefs was the hero as he saved Everton's 3 pennas as we scored all 3 to move into the next round.

Defeat at Brentford
The lads fell to a heavy 3-0 defeat at the hands of high flying Brentford as the missing AFCON players finally took its toll on the team.

Review of Man City & Spurs Draws
The lads worked their socks off in back to back draws vs Man City & Tottenham Hotspur to take us to 30 points and 8th place in the league after 20 games in the Premier League season.

Sunderland AFC 1-1 Leeds United
The lads were back in action at the Stadium of Light as we welcomed relegation candidates Leeds.
Despite mssing 5 first team players through AFCON and the news that Dan Ballard picked up an injury in training this week meant we had a patched up 11 which took the lead through a fantastic curling strike from Simon Adingra.
Leeds got on level terms after half time and had a good 25-30 minute spell but in the end a 1-1 draw was played out.

Sunderland AFC won the 158th North East Derby against the "Visitors" AKA Scum Utd with a spectacular own goal from Nick Woltemade.
Amongst the cracking atmosphere at the Stadium of Light was Paul in Barcelona who was joined by Robin in Prague, Czech Republic and Sean in New Jersey, USA to go over the match which saw us extend our unbeaten derby run in the league to 9 games, 7 of those victories for the red and white wizards.

The lads suffered a 4th defeat of the season which was the heaviest to date.
3-0 away to Man City, a result which flattered Man City and seems a little harsh on Sunderland as the lads battled for 90 minutes, had chances and conceded goals which could have easily been prevented.
Ian McNee from the German Black Cats was the guest to go over the defeat and look ahead to an eagerly awaited Wear-Tyne derby on Sunday 14th December.

It seems that a trip to Current Premier League Champions Liverpool FC held no fears for Sunderland AFC as we picked up a 1-1 draw and had it not been for Federico Chiesa in the dying stages, we would have taken all 3 points.

Sunderland AFC fought back from 0-2 down to snatch a 3-2 win against AFC Bournemouth at what can be described as awful windy and rainy conditions at the Stadium of Light.
Goals from Enzo Le Fee, Bertrand Traore & Brian Brobbey move the lads back up to 4th place in the Premier League on 22 points after 13 games.

A memorable Saturday evening at the Stadium of Light as the 46,000+ fans in attendance as well as fans watching from around the globe were given another dose of 'Til The End' as the lads battled all the way and scored a 93rd minute goal through Brian Brobbey to grab a deserved 2-2 draw against league leaders Arsenal.
