John Perkins wrote "Confessions of an Economic Hit Man", a New York Times bestseller. In it, he reveals how he helped push several countries into massive debt by persuading their governments to take huge loans from the World Bank and the IMF. He lived the high life, with women, yachts, private jets, drugs, and so on. Just like a movie.

He is old now and regrets most of it. As he puts it, he cannot change history.

Jeremy Kuzmarov, from Covert Action Magazine, covers the CIA's role in Mandela's arrest, America's shifting stance on apartheid, and the broader fight over Africa's resources.

In short, he argues that the CIA (and US government) both supported and opposed apartheid based on whatever benefitted the US, such as the mines.

This episode was recorded a few years ago, back in the Covid era. Pete Parada drummed for The Offspring for about 14 years before they unceremoniously fired him for refusing the Covid vaccine.

The band made all sorts of excuses, saying they needed to travel and whatever else, but the point is there was nothing punk rock about it. According to them, you gotta keep 'em vaccinated.

Des Bernardo says the White Cross project — a campaign that planted 3 000 crosses in Washington and screened a farm-murder documentary at the White House — isn't really about farm attacks;

it's a regime-change op serving US and Israeli interests, using the "White genocide" narrative Trump needs to justify foreign intervention.

He offers a new reading of Yahweh and the Elohim: Yahweh is not the ultimate God but one of many interdimensional beings. He also re-examines Jesus, the Trinity, and Satan in the Old Testament.

Put another way, he argues that the God of the Old Testament is not the same as the God of the New Testament, and that this was done on purpose to subvert Christianity.

In this week's UK Column banter with Charles (Mike is away), we discussed the case of Lindsay Clancy, who killed all three of her children yet claims she is not guilty. But we went further than the headlines, looking at the bigger picture and the system that enables this kind of sick behaviour, from the overmedicalisation of prescription drugs, to feminism, to a culture that dehumanises babies and destroys the family.

It's a dark conversation.
