Is $50 Silver a Gift? David Morgan on Silver's Crash episode artwork
Today at 1:13 PM

Paul Buitink welcomes longtime silver expert David Morgan, publisher of The Morgan Report, to discuss the silver market after its explosive move to an all-time high near $121 in late January 2026. Prices have since corrected sharply and are testing the important $50 area again. David explains why much of the decline reflects a washout of speculative enthusiasm rather than a collapse in the underlying bull case, and why he expects the $50 level to hold as a zone of strong support.A key theme is the difference between paper and physical silver. Industrial users—particularly in solar and other critical applications—need real...

10/22/2026

In this Reinvent Money episode, host Paul Buitink interviews Rabobank global strategist Michael Every on geopolitics, money, and power.Every argues a full-scale World War III is unlikely, as only the US can project large forces globally (and is occupied in the Middle East), while Europe is weak and China/Russia have limited reach—though proxy wars, economic conflicts, and serious disruptions are already rising. He critiques Fukuyama’s “End of History,” explaining the post-WWII liberal order stemmed from US military victories and the dollar system, which hollowed out American manufacturing and weakened its power base over time. The discussi...

"That's Just Fascism!" - Mark Thornton on Why AI, Bond Yields and Iran Point to a Bust episode artwork
10/01/2026

Paul Buitink interviews Mises Institute economist Mark Thornton on AI, debt, and the Middle East. Thornton sees the AI build-out as an Austrian boom: cheap credit funneled cash and borrowing into chips, data centers, and models with unproven revenues. He calls demands for government brakes scare stories meant to lock in incumbents. Deficits, he says, cannot be grown away. A forty-year decline in yields has broken, and attempts to lean on Treasuries, the dollar, and gold and silver amount to market manipulation. On Iran he argues the U.S. is poorly placed, with lasting risks to energy, food, and...

Alasdair Macleod: "Fiat Currency System: 18 Months Before it Dies" episode artwork
09/20/2026

Alasdair Macleod tells Paul Buitink the Fed’s latest hike does not buy time. He gives the fiat system about 18 months. A 10-year yield above 5% could burst an equity bubble bigger than 1929. Energy and food shocks from war, drought, and blocked grain will push inflation higher while governments cannot afford the rates needed to stop it. Rescue QE would then destroy currencies. AI valuations look unsupported next to cheap Chinese rivals such as DeepSeek. Dutch gold leaving New York, after similar German and French moves, suggests the metal may not be there. Trust in the dollar is fading; gold is...
