Navigating body image within a weight class sport - M.illieLifts
For this episode I was joined by Millie, and we wanted to delve into the topic of body image within a weight class sport. Often people will say their favourite thing within powerlifting is the fact that the focus is on what our bodies can do, rather than how they look, but at the same time, I've found from both my work as a coach but also just through speaking to friends in the sport, that often having these weight classes forces us to be more aware of our bodies and thus, our body image.
