SOUL Vibrant
Welcome to SOUL Vibrant! "Where Music, History, and Culture Collide". This weekly podcast strives to entertain, educate, and share knowledge uncovering Black History, Spiritual enrichment, Pop culture, and Current events. Hosted by the lovely Lady AC.The Mission of SOUL Vibrant is to serve as an audio archive and digital preservation of thought, perspective, and information. In the era of banned books, attempts to rewrite history, or erasure of different voices and stories, Lady AC stressed the importance of oral traditions. Because if our voices didn't matter, the systems of oppression wouldn't go through such great lengths to deny them...
Summer Intellect

It's Summer Time SOUL Vibrant Fam! What thoughts or memories come to your mind when you hear the word Summer? Is it summer vacations, rooftops, beaches, or time with your loved ones? For me, it was my Mama's Homemade Summer School. As a kid, I couldn't stand it lol. But as an adult, I cherish that experience because it developed my intellect to realize its connection to how we function and live day to day. In the growing concern of Anti-intellectualism, we are neglecting to take accountability for our contributions to this issue. Yes, it's a bigger system at...
"Fellas, Take Up Space" w/ Therapist Fulterius King

June is also known as Men's Mental Health Month. And what better way to close out the month than to bring awareness to my fellas. I'm grateful to welcome back Author and Therapist Fulterius King to have a conversation about the therapeutic needs of men today. Society grooms men to measure themselves by the work or the role that play within it. Therapy can helps an individual navigate through this tough journey when they are ready. But remember, Men deserve to take up space, connect to their emotions/feelings, and receive love.

Happy Juneteenth SOUL Vibrant Fam. I love the growing awareness that the community has around this time of year. However, I'm noticing a fair share of misinformation/understanding of the holiday. Holidays like Juneteenth showcase the importance of Black AMERICAN culture and heritage. Our soul food, history, style, and creativity shaped this country in every region. Don't fall for the discourse. I truly want you to celebrate your blackness. But remember that being Black, being Black American is ENOUGH in doing so.

You Can't Buy This Cool

In this progressive age of anti-intellectualism, consumerism, disinformation, and hatred, It is essential to live as our authentic selves. Openly celebrating our creativity, identity, and culture is revolutionary and makes us human. However, being authentic is strenuous on an individual's well-being and self-worth. Especially, when we witness conformity and mediocrity get rewarded. As we celebrate the month of June through Black Music, Pride, Caribbean heritage, and the beginning of summer, reclaim your Ancestral authenticity. Reclaim your COOL.

Black America Has A Problem!

I love me some Black folks, but Black America has a MAJOR Problem! It's interesting how money, power, and privilege are essential to maintaining white supremacy but are seen as "tools" of liberation in black men's hands. This ain't no gender wars, it's oppression in blackface. ABUSE IS NEVER OKAY! We CANNOT build community or fight for liberation with individuals who intentionally cause harm or force control. Please don't lose yourself in this toxic, corrupt, red-pill violence on the internet. We deserve a better community/better world that provides support, protection, and accountability. A Sinners' Review of Mental Health

There are SO many things I can say about the amazing experience that is "Sinners". Coogler and his team did a brilliant job of illustrating a supernatural take on the complexity of living in this country. And with it being Mental Health Awareness Month, I want to explore how it impacts our mental wellbeing. Join Me, as I highlight key points I received after watching the movie. *THIS Episode Contains SPOILERS!! if you haven't seen it yet*

Community Ain't Nothin' without Unity

Happy Heavenly Birthday Grandma. And thank you for my introduction to the essence of community. Yes, we do need to build community and come together to support each other. But do we have the Compacity to do so? Do we realize the Work it takes to do this? Can we give the Consistency to make it work? In the words of @mochaeinstein "Everyone wants the revolution, but no one wants to have the bake sales" Let's talk about it.
