What if the mountain in front of you isn't moved all at once. But one seed at a time. Today on enLIGHTen, my dear friend Rebecca Frederick reminded us that faith is a superpower. Not because faith is always big. But because God magnifies even the smallest offering. A prayer. A scripture. A choice to trust. A desire to believe. A seed. By small and simple things are great things brought to pass. Sometimes the miracle isn't that the mountain disappears. Sometimes the miracle is that Christ gives us strength to keep climbing. Don't underestimate today's small act of...

What does it look like to draw on God's power in your daily life? This week on enLIGHTen, I sat down with Sarah Allen for a beautiful conversation about faith, covenants, healing, and the strength that comes through Jesus Christ. We talked about how keeping our covenants gives us access to God's power. Not because life becomes easy. But because we never have to carry our burdens alone. Again and again, we see that when we reach for Christ, He reaches back. Through the Holy Ghost. Through ministering angels. Through tender mercies. And through the peace that only He...

Faith through the fog looks a lot like Choosing to take the next step Even when you can’t see the whole path . This week on enLIGHTen I sat down with the wonderful Maria Freeman and talked about what it means to trust Christ when life feels uncertain . We talked about foggy roads unexpected detours dreams that take years to unfold and a Savior who never leaves our side . One truth kept coming back again and again . Jesus is the way . What if obedience isn't about restriction, but relationship?

This week on enLIGHTen, we explored how every commandment is an invitation to say, "God, I trust You."

Jesus taught, "If ye love me, keep my commandments," and Elder Holland reminds us that Christ is the Lawgiver—the perfect giver of laws whose purpose is to increase our happiness and our capacity to love.

The more I study the scriptures, the more I see that obedience isn't about losing freedom. It's about abiding in God's love, receiving more light, and trusting the One who sees fa...

Before the world was fully formed

Sometimes God does not speak through the earthquake the fire or the storm. He speaks through a whisper. A quiet nudge a scripture that burns in your heart a feeling that will not leave. “Hear Him” means more than listening. It means trusting Him enough to follow. God will often lead us out of comfort and into growth. Not to punish us. But to sanctify us. The more intentionally we seek Him through prayer scripture the temple and stillness the more clearly we begin to hear Him.

Jesus never asked us to be perfect first. He asked us to seek Him first. Hungry souls that turn toward heaven will never leave empty. He is still the Bread of Life. Still nourishing, still filling, still multiplying the little we place in His hands.

Today’s enLIGHTen felt like standing beneath the branches of the Tree of Life and remembering that God is always reaching toward us. 🌿

With Dianna Istook Abbott, we talked about trees, temples, priesthood power, spiritual treasures, and the beautiful truth that growth often happens in hidden places first. Just like roots stretching deep underground before fruit appears, so much of what God is doing in us happens quietly before it blossoms.

One of my favorite thoughts from today:
The branch that seemed “imperfect” was the very branch reaching down closest to the ground… reminding us that Chr...

You know, sometimes we think the glory of God is something big, something loud, something seen by everyone. But today reminded me that it’s often found in the quiet—in the early morning, in the simple choice to turn to Him in the moments no one else sees.

How beautiful it is to publish peace, not just to the world, but in our own hearts with Him. We don’t glory in Him by being perfect; we glory in Him by returning again and again.

He is still the Deliverer, still the Healer, still the On...

We jumped into the water… . and nothing happened Until we moved And suddenly—light . It reminded me how often I wait for God to act in my life while staying still . But faith isn’t passive It’s movement . It’s choosing gratitude over murmuring . It’s trusting when you only hold one puzzle piece . He is the vine We are the branches . And when we stay connected— we don’t just survive, we bear fruit. . Your life isn’t barren. It’s becoming 🌿

Comment BRIGHTNESS below and I will send the Sparks for  This week's enLIGHTen discussion and a link to the full episode . I’ve been thinking about hope this week— . Not just as a feeling but as something you put on . Like a helmet Protecting your thoughts . Because what you think shapes everything . And hope isn’t small . It’s a perfect brightness— the kind of light that actually pushes out darkness . Rahab had that kind of hope. A simple scarlet cord… but it meant “I trust God will save me.” . He watched over her . And He will watch over You  . Cause that’s what...

Today on enLIGHTen gathering with Alison Goff, we talked about what it really means to feast on the word— . Not just read it, not just check a box, but to actually taste it… to let it become something “delicious” to our souls . We kept coming back to the story on the road to Emmaus (see Gospel of Luke 24)… when the disciples said, “Abide with us.” Or in other words—stay… tarry with us. . I’ve been thinking about that a lot. What if our homes… our conversations… our lives… became places where He would want to tarry?  Where we talk of Him. Where we share...

Easter feels like the first sign of spring. Like light after a long winter. Like hope quietly rising again. . Today on enLIGHTen Gathering David Butler  and I talked about the resurrection— not as wishful thinking, but as the truest source of hope we have . Because Jesus rose, we can trust that life will come again . That sorrow is not the end . That what feels silent, buried, or unfinished now will not stay that way forever . Easter reminds us that resurrection is not only something we celebrate— it is something we live by . He is risen . Truly He is risen . And becau...

Sometimes we wait to offer the Lord something more polished . A stronger testimony A clearer gift A more eloquent voice A more “ready” version of ourselves . But today with my sweet guest Jenny Guthrie, we talked about how the Lord has always worked with loaves and fishes … small offerings… imperfect efforts… willing hearts. . And somehow, in His hands, they become enough . We talked about Elder Renlund’s beautiful reminder that taking upon us the names of Jesus Christ can sometimes feel a little abstract at first . This week with @chelsba and @well.with.anna we talked about:

-Loving children who don’t always respond.
-Praying for them and with them.
-Teaching the doctrine of Christ through simple, Spirit-led moments.

President Henry B. Eyring reminded us that God magnifies small, faithful efforts in the home. And Tracy Y. Browning taught that Primary music can anchor truth deep in a child’s heart.

This week on enLIGHTen Gathering, I had the gift of sitting down with Tammy Uzelac Hall to talk about something that feels simple… but is often so hard to live: Trusting the hand of the Lord. What does it really mean to trust Him when prayers feel unanswered when the path feels unclear when the outcome isn’t what we expected. One of my favorite parts of this conversation was reflecting on the word AMEN. In Hebrew, it means to trust… to rely upon… to make firm. Every time we say amen, we are choosing trust. This week on enLIGHTen  we talked about The Ministry of Angels and the power we have to invite that help
into our own lives 🤍. Sometimes we ask where are the angels? And heaven asks back—do you believe i can do this thing?

The scriptures are full of moments where angels appear not randomly, not accidentally, but in response to faith,
to prayer, to pleading, to quiet trust, that God is still near.

Elder Holland reminds us that angels are already around us sent to strengthen, to guide, to remind us we are not al...

(Corrected Audio) - Today on the enLIGHTen Gathering, I sat down with Brad Wilcox @bradrwilcox 🤍 . We reflected on Brad’s wonderful reminder: “Don’t let the world change you when you were born to change the world.” . But to change the world we must be changed and transformed by the challenges we overcome by our covenants and our connection with God by Christ . Covenants don’t remove the struggle They transform it into growth . They aren’t about checking boxes. They’re about belonging to Him Becoming like Him And walking with God, day by day. ✨

This week on enLIGHTen,  I sat down with Sara Allen  to talk about a message that  keeps echoing in my heart— President Russell M. Nelson’s  "A Plea to My Sisters" . We talked about covenants— not as constraints, but as access . Access to God’s power Access to His gifts Access to divine influence that  reaches far beyond us  into our families,  our work,  and the world we’re called to serve . We also reflected on the art "All Giving"— the quiet, sacred act of placing  our whole hearts on the altar .  Not fully polished Not yet perfect Just wholly offered . And how God ...

Today’s conversation rested in the quiet power of the Shepherd. . The rod that protects. The staff that guides. Both symbols of love—not fear . Psalm 23 reminds us we are never walking alone. And as Elder Holland taught, Jesus never gives up on us— not in valleys, not in uncertainty, not in the moments we feel most unseen . Because He is the Good Shepherd. . Because He is “I Am He.” . We can trust Him with everything we face. . Even here. Even now. 🤍

Today's conversation felt like a sacred pause in the middle of a busy season 🤍 . This week on enLIGHTen I sat down with BYU Professor Eric Huntsman to talk about worship, tradition, and Advent— and how the season leading up to Christmas invites us to slow down and revisit the many witnesses of Christ’s birth . From prophets and angels to shepherds and seekers, Advent helps us remember that Christ did not come quietly or alone . These traditions don’t replace faith— they shape it, guiding our hearts to worship more intentionally as we celebrate His coming and look forward to His retu

Today on the enLIGHTen podcast, I sat down with President Brian Cordray of the Adriatic Mission and our conversation kept returning to this incredible sacred truth from Elder Quentin L. Cook’s conference message: The Lord is hastening His work. HASTENING. ✨ Not rushing. Not racing past. But being moved forward by heaven. We talked about what that word really means for our lives— how this generation of missionaries has been quietly, powerfully prepared… how the gospel is moving into hearts and nations with divine precision… and how this most marvelous work doesn’t belong to “someone else.” It belongs to us. President Nelson once said, “The human body is a MANIFICENT MASTERPIECE.” And this week on enLIGHTen, we explored just how true that is. With my good friend Tanna Fox @live_right_nutrition, we dove into the miracle of the body as a temple for our souls— And vessel of His grace and light and how choosing light in small, everyday ways lifts both the physical and the spiritual. Because it seems that the more we honor this gift, the more we feel and come to know the Giver.

This week's episode of the enLIGHTen podcast took us through the Nativity exhibit at the Kirtland Temple Visitors’ Center— hundreds of symbols, stories, and cultures all pointing us back to Jesus Christ . As we walked and talked, we were reminded that every nativity is a testimony crafted through someone’s gifts . Every artisan adds their piece to the story… just like we can . God magnifies whatever we’re willing to offer . This Christmas season, may every shepherd, every star, and every humble manger pull our hearts back to Him . HIS NAME changes everything.   In today’s episode with Amber Dawn Pearce we talked about the way  mountains move almost quietly when we stop trying to lift them on our own. How the shift often begins the moment we step toward someone else even when it doesn’t make sense yet. How sacrifice and small obedience carry more power than we realize.   Because bearing His name isn’t just saying it — it’s walking it.   It’s showing up with light where fear used to live.   It’s trusting that He works in motion not stagnation.   And somehow as we move things around us s...

This week, we’re talking about what it means to honor—both the parents who gave us life on earth, and the Heavenly Parents who gave us eternal life in spirit.

We looked at how Jesus—even knowing He was the Son of God—chose to humble Himself, to listen, to serve, to obey. He showed us that honoring those we see teaches us how to love the One we cannot see.

In this week’s enLIGHTen episode with my dear friend, Anna Miller we explored what it truly means to be proved and strengthened in Christ— to walk through refining seasons not alone, but with Him beside us. We talked about how His love doesn’t spare us from the fire— it stays with us in it. Every trial, every “proving,” can polish our hearts the way pressure and heat turn carbon into a diamond. Because of our covenants we can trust those promises and walk in the joy of His light no matter what is going on in our lives and the world around us.

What does it feel like to be rescued by Jesus? Today Gale Teuscher and I got together to talk about the power of Christ’s Atonement — to rescue us, to lift us, to heal us and bless us.

Even in life’s storms, He fills our hearts with His peace and His joy. But it doesn’t stop there — His power fills us with capacity to:  heal, bless, lift, and to join Him in the work of The Great Rescuer!
