This weekly offering is an exploration into the unknown, as I interview one of the many extraordinary people I've had the joy of meeting on this weird and wonderful journey we call life.Instead of having pre-planned questions, I pull three tarot cards, which we’ll discuss and share our insights on. This concept aims to support me and the listeners to learn to be at ease with the unknown, demonstrating how there’s something to gain from trusting the chaos of the universe.

#101 Pilgrimage for Armageddon; Ellen Groves and An Ordained Ending
#101

This week I meet Ellen Groves, Guernsey journalist living in Paris, who has spent the last few weeks trying to protect her children from military force.

My flight home to the Channel Islands was delayed until Monday, and somehow it feels utterly ordained. I was meant to be here in Paris today, at the protest, meeting Ellen and hearing her story.

What a way to bring this year’s Pilgrimage for Armageddon to a close. After 38 days walking across France, following the lines of Michael and Apollo, arriving in Paris at a moment when the re...

#100 Pilgrimage for Armageddon; Week 5, Silly Hats & Unforeseen Consequences
#100
10/15/2026

I can hardly believe we've reached episode 100! That's rather snuck up on me, and I'm feeling incredibly proud to have made it this far.

This week's episode of Nonsense in the Chaos takes an unexpected detour into the world of Big Brother, following the appearance of someone I know, Twinks Burnett, on the show. It's prompted me to reflect on just how much society has changed in recent years, the strange relationship we have with fame and visibility, and how grateful I am to be skirting through life and communities, spreading a little magic without having to d...

#99 Pilgrimage for Armageddon; Week Four and the Half Way Hump
#99
10/08/2026

We're in the half-way hump of our pilgrimage, where bodies are aching, kit is falling apart, and the going is getting tough. But just as we're being pushed to our limits, the landscape is changing again, and rural France is opening its doors to us in unexpected ways.

From dystopian towns and boiling hot roads to fairyland encounters, generous strangers and moments of perfect Kairos timing, we're discovering that pilgrimage has a rhythm of its own. Sometimes the magic arrives when we least expect it, and sometimes the only way through is to keep putting one foot...

#98 Pilgrimage for Armageddon; Week Three, In Relationship with Saint Michael
#98
10/02/2026

It’s the Week of Michaelmas, and the pilgrimage has taken a distinctly autumnal turn. Rain, mud, long roads and some properly rough days have tested us — but they’ve also given us plenty of time to consider what it actually means to walk in relationship with Saint Michael.

In this episode, we explore our own feelings about religion, the figure of Saint Michael, and the difference between following a religious tradition and forming a personal relationship with an archetype, a saint or a spiritual force.

Looking at Michael through a more esoteric lens, we ask wh...

#97 Pilgrimage for Armageddon; Week Two, An Equinox of Dolmens
#97
09/25/2026

A chance meeting with an English couple, Bob and Sue, led us to discover a whole host of ancient dolmens scattered along our route — some sitting directly on the Michael/Apollo energy line.

What followed was the most delightful Autumn Equinox, spent connecting with these extraordinary ancient places, the ancestors who built them, and our own ancestral lines. A week of walking, synchronicity, stones, stories and a growing sense that the landscape is guiding us along... As always.

The music and artwork is by @moxmoxmoxiemox

Nonsense in the Chaos is available on all po...

#96 Pilgrimage for Armageddon; Week One, Meeting Athena.
#96
09/18/2026

Week One of the Pilgrimage for Armageddon is underway and it turns out the first lesson was about nearly losing one of the most important members of the expedition… My pilgrim staff, Polly.

After nearly falling from the ramparts at Mont-Saint-Michel, Polly was rescued, reborn and transformed into Athena, one of the energy lines we're setting off walking, and of course the goddess of wise decisions, wisdom, courage, strategy and righteous action.

Which got me thinking about what really matters. Perhaps the most precious things in the universe aren't gold, possessions or even the things we...

#95 Nature Awakening; Cae Mabon and the Council of Free Women
#95
09/12/2026

This week, my pilgrimage preparations take me to the magical Cae Mabon in Wales, where I spend a week held in ceremony, surrounded by an extraordinary bunch of humans — and a veritable plethora of inspiring, powerful women.

Amongst the mountains, streams, stories, laughter and a fair bit of emotional alchemy, I discover there’s rather more to preparing for a pilgrimage than sorting out boots and backpacks. I learn about the empowerment that can come with menopause, the importance of standing up for my own needs, and the radical act of occasionally saying “No, actually, that doesn’...

#94 Kentwell Hall; And the Great Cart Clamping Scandal of 1553
#94
09/02/2026

Step back through the mists of time and into the glorious, smoky, slightly unhinged world of Kentwell Hall Tudor Re-Creation…

This week, the podcast is less “peaceful historical immersion” and more woodsmoke, clucking chickens, creaking carts, peacocks screaming in the distance and the unmistakable sound of 1553’s most outrageous scandal…

THE GREAT CART CLAMPING SCANDAL OF 1553

Who clamped the cart?
Why was it clamped?
Who authorised the clamping?
And, most importantly… WHO IN GOD'S TEETH IS GOING TO PAY THE FINE?

Come and e...

#93 Radical Redesign; La Luna Coven returns to Boomtown 2026
#93
08/25/2026

Sorry for being radio silent for the last couple of weeks! 🙈 I was ridiculously busy, having far too much fun, and frankly needed a little break from the everyday.

And… apologies in advance that this week’s episode is a little sweary. 😂 But it’s bloody brilliant to be back!

This week I’m sharing some of the power and magic we wove at Boomtown this year — working with land magic, creativity and altered states of reality, and exploring how we can change young people’s relationship with the world, both inner and outer.

It was wild, bea...

#92 Time to Topple the Toffs
#92
08/07/2026

TRIGGER WARNING ⚠️  15min in talks about child abuse

This week, a surprise visit from an old friend left me asking a much bigger question.

What is it about people who think money, status and name-dropping make them more important than everyone else? Watching one person's behaviour manage to irritate not just me but seemingly half of Sark became the perfect reminder that it's time to stop bowing to wealth and privilege simply because society tells us we should.

This isn't about resentment. It's about self-respect.

In this episode, I explore why it's...

#91 An Audience With the Valley
#91
07/31/2026

This week's podcast began in a hammock, in our garden overlooking Port du Moulin on Sark, as the sun dipped into golden hour.
Our garden sits on an energy line… a place that amplifies your connection with the Earth. So I decided to get quiet. To listen.
I pulled a few tarot cards and asked a simple question. ‘What do you want to say to me?’
The answer that came through wasn't what I expected.
In this week's episode, I'm sharing the message that unfolded, what the cards revealed, and why I believe the Earth is alw...

#90 The Stories That Shape the Future
#90
07/24/2026

The battle for the future won't just be fought through technology, politics or economics. It will be fought through story.

As artificial intelligence, data centres and digital infrastructure become the backbone of modern civilisation, new narratives are already emerging. Those who defend rivers, forests and the living Earth risk being recast as obstacles to progress... even as extremists. Recent political moves in the United States hint at how quickly environmental resistance could be reframed through the language of security and terrorism.

In this week's episode of Nonsense in the Chaos, I explore why storytelling has...

#89 The Power of Pilgrimage; Guy Hayward and the Magic of Walking with Intention
#89
07/17/2026

What happens when we choose to walk not simply to get somewhere, but to be changed by the journey itself?

This week I'm joined by Guy Hayward, co-founder and Director of the British Pilgrimage Trust and co-author of Britain's Pilgrim Places. Since 2014, Guy has been quietly helping revive pilgrimage across Britain through the simple but profound invitation to 'bring your own beliefs', reminding us that pilgrimage belongs to everyone, regardless of faith or philosophy.

Together we wander through the archetype of the pilgrim, exploring why walking with intention transforms not only the landscape around us...

#88 Being Part of the Collective; Individual Talents and the Narcissism of Stardom
#88
07/10/2026

In this week's episode of Nonsense in the Chaos, I explore the tension between celebrating our unique gifts and becoming consumed by the modern obsession with personal branding, fame and being seen. Drawing on indigenous culture, psychology and everyday life, I ask whether we've confused individuality with individualism... and what we've lost along the way.

From the rise of celebrity culture to the quiet satisfaction of contributing to something bigger than ourselves, this is a conversation about belonging, purpose and finding our rightful place within the collective. How do we honour our talents without making ourselves the...

#87 An Unassuming Action Hero; Edd Stone and All Things Adventurous
#87
07/03/2026

This week on Nonsense in the Chaos, I’m sitting down with my adventure buddy, Edd Stone. We spend a lot of our working lives together, whether that’s as Astro Guides at the Observatory peering out into the vastness of space, or with Adventure Sark, taking people scrambling over rocks, out onto the sea in kayaks, dangling off cliffs coasteering, or trying their hand at archery and shooting.

Edd is one of those people who somehow manages to be both completely unassuming and quietly extraordinary. A bit of an enigma, a man of few words at time...

#86 Apocalypse Now; Stewardship for the Future
#86
06/26/2026

This week on Nonsense in the Chaos, I recorded sat back up in my favourite tree, Satine... or what remains of her. She took the full force of this winter's storms and though she's still alive, just, she stands now in a different form.

Sitting beneath her in the heat, I found myself reflecting on the strange threshold we seem to be standing in as a species. The air feels different. The seasons feel different. The stories we tell ourselves about tomorrow feel different.

We often imagine the apocalypse as a sudden event: sirens, collapse, f...

#85 Gathering of Roots; Witchfool Reflections
#85
06/19/2026

This week on Nonsense in the Chaos, I’m gathering the roots.

The Witchfool Are You? journey began on Monday and already something fascinating is unfolding. Sometimes we think we’re leading the ritual, holding the space or guiding the path, but then life quietly turns and reveals that something is leading us too.

In this episode I’m reflecting on the threads, synchronicities and whispers that are beginning to emerge through the course... the things the universe seems to be showing me through the people gathering around it, through the archetypes appearing, and through the de...

#84 Cradled by Your Love; Running Away to Satine the Beacon Tree
#84
06/15/2026

This week on Nonsense in the Chaos, I climbed a tree.

After finding myself peopled out and carrying the lingering sadness that can follow when alcohol leaves our closest relationships feeling a little bruised and out of tune, I spent the day perched among the branches, seeking refuge in the way I always have.

From childhood memories of running away into nature and escaping the pressures of school, to reflections on the complicated dance of connection, solitude and belonging, this is an episode about finding your way back to yourself when life feels a little...

#83 Facing Your Demons of the Abyss
#83
06/05/2026

This week on Nonsense in the Chaos, we're venturing into the abyss.

Not the dramatic, mythic kind filled with monsters and ancient gods... but the very real places within ourselves we'd rather avoid.

For me, the demon waiting in the dark is money.

The stories I carry about worth, security, success and scarcity have a habit of resurfacing whenever I think I've finally made peace with them. Yet every descent into the underworld offers the same invitation: to stop running, turn around, and meet what is chasing us.

Together we'll explore...

#82 Nurturing Curiosity; AJ and Exploring the Healing Power of Nature
#82
05/29/2026

This week on Nonsense in the Chaos, I’m joined by the wonderful AJ... a curious soul walking the delicate line between care, academia, activism and joy. Working within the NHS as a mental health nurse supporting families in a deeply pressured system, AJ brings both compassion and honesty to the conversation.

Currently completing the first two years of her doctorate, with her thesis beginning in September, AJ’s research explores how healthcare staff can help reconnect people with nature, and why that matters so profoundly in a time of climate crisis and collective burnout.

We t...

#81 Gemini Season and the Wheels Coming off the Train!
#81
05/23/2026

Turns out the HRT was working… because when it ran out unexpectedly last Friday, the wheels fully came off the train. Add getting ill on top, and this week’s podcast has arrived slightly later than usual.

In the new episode of Nonsense in the Chaos I’m talking about grounding and recalibrating during the busy headiness of Gemini Season, tending the home fires, avoiding burnout, and how to begin again after finishing a big piece of work and entering a new cycle.

A slightly frazzled but heartfelt one this week.

The music and ar...

#80 Meeting Pachamamma; Shaman Ben and  Being a Guardian of the Land
#80
05/15/2026

This week on Nonsense in the Chaos, I’m joined by Ben the Shaman, who opened this year’s La Beltane Festival in the middle of a thunderstorm.

As torrential rain lashed the valley and festival-goers huddled beneath the gazebo, Ben stepped directly into the storm to bless the land, calling to Pachamama, spirit, the heavens and the directions. Slowly the rain softened, the skies cleared, and the festival unfolded in sunshine from that moment onward.

We talk about ritual, healing, community, land connection, and why gatherings like La Beltane — and a deeper relationship with the la...

#79 Beltane Blessings; Grounding and Landing Post Burning the Wickerman
#79
05/08/2026

This week on Nonsense in the Chaos, I’m talking about how strong, grounded, and genuinely supported I feel after this year’s La Beltane Festival here on Sark.

The day began with absolute chaos... an unexpected torrential downpour just as everything was starting. For a moment, it felt like the whole thing might unravel. But the crew held steady, everyone pulled together, and we somehow ran a very smooth ship.

Then, after an extra special blessing from Peruvian shaman Ben, the skies cleared and the sun came out for the rest of the day. It w...

#78 Love and Laughter; Saffron Issac and Thirty-Two Years of Friendship
#78
05/01/2026

This week on Nonsense in the Chaos, I’m joined by my best friend, Saffron Issac… a woman who has walked alongside me through more lifetimes than one.

We met as teenagers in a Tudor re-creation and have been in each other’s lives ever since, from free parties and muddy rave fields, to sharing a home at the turn of the millennium in Brighton, to slowly, fiercely carving out our own lives and callings. We’ve witnessed each other becoming, unravelling, rebuilding.

We even found ourselves side by side in the strange, tender world of IVF…...

#77 Creating a Home and Tending to the Ancestral Fires
#77
04/24/2026

This week I’m sitting in the strange and beautiful in-between of arrival. A new home, new rhythms, new ways of inhabiting both space and self. There’s something about learning how to live in a place that mirrors learning how to live in a new phase of life… and right now, both are shifting at once.

As I move deeper into the perimenopausal threshold, I can feel the stirrings of what I’m calling the ‘Baby Crone’… a soft but powerful reordering of priorities, energy, and truth.

And weaving through it all… La Beltane Festival is just...

#76 A Spiritual Journey; Elaine Le Feuvre and Ways of Meeting the Menopause
#76
04/16/2026

This week I take a deep dive into the wild adventure that is menopause with my guest Elaine Le Feuvre.

Elaine is a passionate advocate for the Red School, which teaches women to work with their menstrual cycles, and for the Wisewoman’s Journey through menopause, seeing it as a deeply spiritual rite of passage.

Known across the Channel Islands for her work as an aromatherapist, Elaine has led a rich and varied life. She has lived in South Africa and the UK, returning to Guernsey in her 30s where she worked in the prison se...

#75 Answers from the Universe; Trusting the Process
#75
04/10/2026

This week’s episode arrives straight from the midst of chaos… boxes everywhere, life in flux, and La Beltane Festival fast approaching.

With capacity stretched and no guest in place, this becomes a raw solo transmission... an honest navigation of what it means to keep going when everything feels in motion. And, as ever, the universe answers. The rune that emerges lands with uncanny precision, offering guidance exactly where it’s needed.

This episode explores how to stay open, how to listen, and how to trust what’s unfolding—even when the path feels unce...

#74 Adventures in Geomancy; The Universe Set Me A Quest-I-On
#74
04/02/2026

There are moments when the path beneath your feet stops being metaphor and becomes instruction.
This week’s episode traces the unseen threads that have been quietly, persistently guiding me... from pilgrimage roads to the shores of Sark, and deeper still into the valley we now call home. What once felt like a series of choices is revealing itself as something far more intentional — a conversation with the land itself.
Geomancy, when lived rather than studied, asks something of you. It listens, it nudges, and sometimes... it sets a quest.
In this episode, I explore the stra...

#73 Tell it to the Bees; Chris Parks and the Wonders of the World
#73
03/27/2026

In this week’s episode I’m chatting with the incredible creatrix that is Chris Park.

Chris lives on an organic farm in the Vale of the White Horse, Oxfordshire. His work is wide and varied, from arts and craft, ancient technologies, experimental archaeology and educational projects, to eco-building, professional storytelling, folk music and raising the awareness of the heritage of beekeeping. He is a founder member of the Beekeeping History Trust, a skep beekeeper, skep-maker and a practicing Druid.

Often seen extolling the virtues of mead, metheglin and other traditional honey drinks, Chris tries to li...

#72 The Spring Equinox; Bringing Forth New Beginnings
#72
03/20/2026

It might seem counterintuitive, but this moment in time is such an incredible opportunity to be the best version of yourself and to do heroic things.

Be the person who hid the family in your attic. Be the person who smuggled people through the checkpoint in the car. Be the person who kept squirrelling food away and who shared your last bit of bread. Be that person.

Be the person that people are going to talk about in 50 years’ time... about what a courageous, awesome human you were because of all the bold and selfless th...

#71 Herd Time; Claire Cole and the Power of Horse
#71
03/13/2026

This week I’m in conversation with Claire Cole, who runs The Centre in Guernsey, where she and her horses hold deeply intuitive shamanic healing sessions. In her work the horses are not simply present... they are active participants in the process, sensing energy, responding to what is unspoken, and helping guide people gently back towards themselves. There is something profoundly moving about watching these huge, sensitive creatures mirror what is happening inside us.

It feels like an apt way to open this new season... especially in the year of the fire horse. Claire herself carries that sa...

#70 Let the Sunshine in!
#70
03/06/2026

Nonsense in the Chaos is back! It feels so good to be back behind the microphone. I’ve missed you all.

This week I discuss how I can feel the old stories cracking. Institutions are wobbling, certainty is dissolving, and the world feels increasingly unreal. The question becomes: how do we live truthfully inside the chaos?

I’ll explore power, myth, creativity, spirituality, and the courage to think differently. Time to move beyond outrage and into action. Not by fighting every battle, but by making your own pixel bright: choosing beauty, kindness, imagination, and integrity in a...

#69 Entering the Radiance of a Ten Year
#69
12/26/2025

The final episode of Nonsense in the Chaos for Season Two is a pause at the threshold. As Yule tide gathers us inward, this week’s episode explores the numerology of the coming year: a universal ten, the number of the radiant body, the moment in the alchemical process when lead is turned into gold.

This is a conversation about community, about scale, and about agency. When the bigger picture feels overwhelming, there is still the work to do on our own pixel, making it as bright, clear and generous as it can be. That, in itself, is...

#67 It Really is a Wonderful Life
#67
12/12/2025

This week’s podcast weaves together the quiet magic of legacy, continuity and the unseen threads that connect us. In It’s a Wonderful Life, George Bailey never becomes wealthy or achieves the grand future he imagined. Instead, he receives something far greater: perspective. He’s granted the rare gift of witnessing the impact of his existence—the threads tying him to every life he’s touched and the ripples he’s left behind.

This week’s episode turns that lens towards the real world as I say goodbye to a friend who has passed away and reflect on a l...

#66 Church of Burn; Jonathan Harris and the Ritual of Burning Money
#66
12/05/2025

#66 Church of Burn; Jonathan Harris and the Ritual of Burning Money

Episode #66 dives into the Church of Burn with Jonathan Harris, its Reverend and creator of a movement that treats money not as a master but as a material for ritual transformation. Is it art-magic, a cult, a new form of religion, or something stranger? The Church calls itself a gathering around a sacred act: the literal sacrifice of money to expose its power, its mythology, and its grip on our bodies and imaginations.

Jonathan speaks about the shock, fascination and moral challenge their rituals...

#65 ‘She Who Eats Filth’ and the Duality of Light and Dark
#65
11/28/2025

What’s the treasure at the heart of your life right now, and what do you feel called to make in the coming year?

Three things steadied my nerves this week. First was The Emerald episode ‘Carry That Weight: On Mythic Burdens and Cosmic Supports’, where Joshua speaks of the old comfort in believing something larger could hold the weight of the world for you. It stirred a deep memory of how light life once felt when I carried that belief.

Then I drew an oracle card: Tlazolteotl, the eater of filth, the cleanser of what w...

#64 The House of Broken Bricks; Fiona Williams on honouring the Landscape and a Sense of Identity
#64
11/21/2025

This week on Nonsense in the Chaos we follow the thread from Somerset to Exeter to meet Fiona Williams, author of House of Broken Bricks and partner of Joe, the builder from episode #58. Joe grew up in Burrowbridge with his twin brother Jason, and it was clear from meeting them how deeply the Levels run in their bones. Fiona carries that same connection, and channels it onto the page with remarkable clarity.

Her novel captures the Somerset Levels with a tenderness that feels tactile. Mud, reeds, light, memory… All held with the same depth of care found in...

#63 Mercury Retrograde and Dealing With the World of Chronos
#63
11/14/2025

I’ve been having an absolute technical meltdown recently... computers freezing, files disappearing, batteries dying mid-sentence — all the classic signatures of Mercury Retrograde. It’s that trickster energy again, reminding me that control is an illusion and timing isn’t always mine to command.

In this episode, I want to explore what happens when the universe presses pause — when the messages don’t send, the plans fall apart, and we’re forced to stop running by the clock of Chronos time. That rigid, linear, ever-ticking structure we try to live within — deadlines, meetings, calendars — can feel like a cage when Mercur...

#62 Homeward Bound; Graham Joyce and Pilgrimage Integration
#62
11/07/2025

I’m back home — the pilgrimage dust barely settled on my boots — and already I find myself arms-deep in scrubbing the pub toilets, as reality swoops in to claim me once more. The rhythm of Chronos time, that steady, ticking, relentless measure of the everyday, has returned in full force. After weeks of sacred wandering and timeless flow, I’m suddenly back in the hum of normal life, where the clock rules and the mythic gives way to the mundane.

Before leaving the pilgrimage, though, I had the chance to sit down with someone who understands this transiti...
