The Great Alone is a Semi Autobiographical novel about Kristin Hannah and her life in Alaska. Written initially as a thriller, this coming of age was a beautiful tribute to Alaska and mother daughter relationships. This is one of my favorite Kristin Hannah books because of the dynamics and the characterization. In this episode we will talk plot, characters, and themes of The Great Alone.
