Biologist Gordon Stenhouse has been studying Bears for decades and joins us on this episode for an in-depth look into the world of bears! 

 Gord instituted and led the Grizzly Bear Program in Alberta and his ground breaking research has led to changes in industry and resource development and promoted the conservation of Grizzly Bears.  

Gord tells us stories of studying Polar bears, working in the Arctic, tagging and tracking Grizzly Bears, jumping from helicopters, and how the Grizzly Bear population in Alberta has changed in the past couple of decades.  

Biologist Beth MacCallum returns to the podcast to talk birds!  We dig into the world of Birding and Beth offers some great tips and suggestions for experienced and novice birders.  Beth also tells us stories about Harlequin Ducks that she has been studying for decades as well as stories of Owl and Humming Bird rescues.

Scott Sunderwald brings his medieval slings out for this episode as we record live from the riverside!

World renowned log home builder, Mark Deagle, joins us for this episode!  Mark is based in the Hinton area and has built over 200 log structures throughout Alberta, British Columbia and around the world!
