Capt. Marty Story: Saving The Fishing Frenzy
05/23/2026

Wayyyy back in 1984 when Capt. Marty fished on the The Reelin he had a young rookie mate from California named Mike Pullin. One of Mike's first trips offshore with Capt. Marty was on a day when The Fishin' Frenzy (yes, the same one from Wicked Tuna), captained by Mike Clarkin at the time, experienced a tad bit of trouble offshore. It was Capt. Marty and Mate Mike Pullin to the rescue!! While a scary time for the boat and crew, there is part of this story that is a little comical. Listen and you understand what we mean.

Fishing Report 5-22

Kinda hit and miss offshore over the weekend, depending on where you were. It was either really a HIT or really a MISS. Near shore, beach and the piers seemed to be doing pretty good all over, and the back country is starting to pick up more and more. I'm gonna get you up to speed with it all plus talk a little bit about where I'll be this week, which is the Hatteras Village Offshore Open Tournament.

Fishing Report 5-8

There was a little bit of action in other areas of the Outer Banks though. I'll get you up to speed with all that plus talk a little bit about something happening next week you may be interested in!
