The Solo Promoter Podcast

We talk about Tom's interest in wrestling and comic books when he was a kid and how boredom in an algebra class became a game that has lasted 40 years and is showing no signs of stopping! We discuss the move to Legends of Wrestling, and Tom shows off some incredible artifacts from the history of the company. Tom also answers some promoter questions in this MONOLITH-sized episode!

In this episode, we explore the idea of project-based play in tabletop wrestling games like Filsinger Games' Champions of the Galaxy, Legends of Wrestling, Indies, and Go Fight Pow. Instead of running a traditional fed, a project gives you a focused goal—like Shayne's Challenge on Kronos or a title defense tracker. We also discuss Stu Lowry's replay system for career-based championship runs, which applies a Strat-O-Matic-style methodology to wrestling games. Projects are easy to start, great for solo play, and reduce the pressure of continuity-heavy fed booking. Whether it's a one-card story or a...

Want to play Champions of the Galaxy but overwhelmed by the cost of catching up? In this episode, we break down how you can start with just the two most recent game editions—plus Promoter Prime if you like—and begin building your own fed today. No need to own everything. You can create your own jumping-on point, just like players do with Legends and Indies. It's affordable, flexible, and fun—start playing your way!

In this episode of the podcast, we explore an idea that might just change how you look at your tabletop wrestling game: thinking about the game is actually playing the game. Inspired by a concept discussed on the Solo Roleplayer's Podcast, we dive into the idea that all those hours you spend mentally booking matches, mapping out feuds, and crafting title runs in your head are just as much a part of the hobby as rolling dice or flipping cards at the table.
