Despite a false start in 2025, Eurovision Song Contest Asia looks like it's really happening in 2026! The proof? A full-on national final from Bhutan called Rhythm of Bhutan that has everything we love about national finals from small nations, plus a powerhouse internal selection from Malaysia. We talk about all five competitors in the final and what songs are likely to do well in November's contest. Jeremy is always happy to see college kids getting weird, Dimitry gets some rock with a distinctive Bhutanese twist, and Oscar would hire one dancer to do anything.

We thought we were going to sit down for a nice simple episode of the podcast, and then the EBU announced everything. Burgas! New age limit! No more pre-recorded backing tracks! Some surprises on both sides, but there's also a shocking amount of consensus at the top of the standings and the bottom. In the middle, however? Outliers abound. Jeremy will make believe this moment's here to stay, Dimitry lets the feeling take control, and Oscar sees forever in your smile.

We're still riding the high of Dara's win from this year's contest, but how close had Bulgaria come to the glass microphone before? Pretty close... and very far, depending on the year. We're looking at all of Bulgaria's Eurovision entries since joining in 2005, and there seems to be a pattern of high highs and low lows for the country. We're back to Eurovision 2026 national final season, and boy, is it a good one. Ukraine's Vidbir is here, and with it, a veritable wave of Eurovision royalty: Jamala, Zlata Ognevich, Jerry Heil, Ziferblat, Monokate... it's a veritable cornucopia of ESC talent. Jeremy likes it when things get just a little Jesus-y, Dimitry is exposed as a Ruslana simp, and Oscar's looking for Mr. Vel.

Dimitry finally got his wish granted: we're finally taking a look at Spain's very first Benidorm Fest from 2022, and wouldn't you know it? It's a doozy. Comedian and voice actor Tony Rodriguez (The Simpsons, Tiny Toons Looniversity) joins us to take a listen to the pack of songs that eventually gave us Chanel. The Eurovision 2026 national finals are about to hit us like a tidal wave, but not quite yet - for now, it's the gentle rain of Luxembourg's eight-song national final, and its excellent lineup of interval acts and guests. The Eurovision 2026 national final season is upon us, at last! Moldova's Selecția Națională 2026 and Malta's MESC 2026 were this past Saturday, at a combined NINE hours of programming across the two finals. One mostly earned the run time, and one... not so much. Jeremy finds one Moldovan entry Simply Irresistible, Dimitry starts a feud with multiple podcasts, and Oscar's backing mom songs again this year.
