The population of Greenbury, particularly around Ygin’s house, keeps growing from additional arrivals with Ygin and Harlan. There’s plenty to catch up on and people to catch up with. Ygin’s not the only one getting a warm welcome either. Rokain receives some unexpectedly delightful gifts and attention.

The spooky season is here! Join the Roll For Focus team as they play “The Wilding Call” from Kobold Press.

With Seig and Faythe down for the count, the battle is getting hairy for Dria and Sylmenor. Desperate to stay alive and complete their mission, they hold nothing back. Will they be able to take Mother and the pack down? Will they walk out of with their lives? Most importantly of all, will they be able to return the silver axe to its rightful owner?

The time to be slow and methodical is past. Dria, Seig and Sylmenor cook up a deadly strike in hopes of wiping out Mother in one fell swoop. If they were truly followers of Surtur, he would no doubt be proud of the fiery result. The Pack of the Howling Sun won’t be going down so easily though. Toe to toe, muzzle to muzzle, the two sides clash in a showdown for all their lives.

The head-on approach leaves Dria, Seig and Sylmenor more battered and bruised than they would like. But they’re not ready to tuck their tails and run just yet. It’s time to put their heads together to plot their next move. With a little more stealth and spying, they discover an unexpected potential ally in the unlikeliest of places.

Aboard The Serenity, the ship lives up to its name as the journey to Greenbury passes rather uneventfully. During the day that is. At night, Xelas finds himself trapped in an unending dream, unable to escape and unable to proceed. The time has become desperate enough that some equally desperate measures might be in order.

With bridges burnt before the mission even started, Dria, Seig and Sylmenor go to plan beta: take the werewolves head-on in their own complex. After all, it's not as if slavering lupines of all types are waiting at literally every turn to sink their fangs into them...

The pack expects nothing but the best from any potential initiates. If Dria, Seig and Sylmenor can impress the werewolves with one final test then they’ll be welcomed with open arms. Except, the adventurers aren’t the only ones who know how to play the game – a grievous mistake is about to come to light which could send all their hard work up in smoke.

The heroes pay a visit to the brilliant researcher, yet terrible poker player, Ronnie Betelbottom. His special interest might provide the answer to why they're different if, of course, Rokain, Ygin and Xelas can trust him. Is Ronnie's inability to keep a poker face a great way to confirm his honesty, or could it be part of a masterful charade instead?

Anywhere the Pack of the Howling Sun goes, fire and destruction follows in their wake. Three adventurers have been called upon to find out what these arson-loving werewolves are up to. But to go undetected in werewolf territory requires an…unusual solution, one that will redefine everything Dria, Seig and Sylmenor knew about themselves. They must survive deadly, hair-raising tests if they are to have any hope of leaving alive.

There’s just a few stops left for the heroes to hit before the storm breaks, including visiting the final ship option, The Serenity. Ygin might have a favor in his pocket to help them gain passage if they’re lucky. Then some unexpected family history from Rokain suddenly opens new doors as well.

Now that the time has finally come, can Xelas handle what he might learn? It’s a valid concern that has Ygin and even Rokain expressing their worries. The situation must be truly bad if Rokain is putting effort into being supportive and Xelas actually is listening to him.

Days at sea can leave even the saltiest sailor a little stir-crazy and looking for something else to do; particularly if that sailor is easily bored and distraction-prone like Xelas is. Perhaps the real surprise is Ygin and Rokain going along with his mutinous plot.

After everything they’ve been through, Faerith, Arryn and Zeff are champing at the bit to get at the evil mastermind in the lighthouse’s peak. Except, when they arrive, the pirates realize the trickster isn’t what they expected. They’re not the only ones who have been in way over their heads. The pirates soon find themselves facing a whole new quest, one which requires a very different skillset than their usual swashbuckling.

Dealing with the lighthouse is one issue but with a couple of rivals hot at their heels, Arryn, Faerith and Zeff have a whole new set of problems to confront. Round and round they go as reality twists and bends about them. Perhaps there’s safety in numbers because when the lighthouse’s tricks cross a line, the only ones the pirates can rely on are each other, much to their chagrin.

Aboard the Rainbow Revenge, a crew of tough and fiercely loyal pirates have made a home and a name for themselves on the sea. When news of a mysterious fog-shrouded lighthouse reaches Zeff, Faerith and Arryn, they jump at the chance to explore and, of course, to claim whatever treasure may be had. Except such news is bound to draw other pirates, each hoping to uncover the lighthouse’s secrets first.

Xelas opens up about a years-old pain for the first time to the willing ear of Ygin. In addition to his classic comfort and some hard-to-swallow perspective, Ygin offers a use of his Scry ring. Little does he know that what he witnesses will have a profound effect on Xelas and all of their plans.

Reeling from his friend’s revelation, Xelas returns with little resemblance to his normal energetic self. The weight of the letter in his hand is by no means comparable to the weight in his heart. While Ygin and Rokain get their sea legs about them, Xelas grapples with a past he thought he had long buried.

An inevitable battle is brewing on the horizon. A quick reconnaissance of the barge shows Tilly has come well-prepared for her rematch with the heroes. Now better informed themselves, and just maybe with the aspect of Surprise on their side, Xelas, Rokain and Ygin can properly nail down a plan to stop her once and for all before all Oblivion breaks loose.

In their respective hometowns, Ygin and Xelas handle the weight of responsibility very differently. A hard lesson is finally coming full circle for Xelas, who must consider his options carefully when he’s put in a position he never thought he’d experience. For Ygin, a difficult conversation is made oddly easier after an attempt on his life.

Rokain’s abrupt and sour return opens up new possibilities as the heroes work out how best to protect their homes. Ygin’s family rallies around him, each prepared to do whatever they can to help. The same can’t quite be said for Xelas, who has to resort to drastic measures with his family to drive home the gravity of the situation.
