WCRXFM Sessions @33 takes viewers and listeners on a sonic journey with a who’s who of emerging artists from Columbia College Chicago. This showcase, filmed primarily at the station’s studios at 33 Ida B. Wells Drive, gives artists an opportunity to utilize this performance to build upon their creative output and connect with an audience through a visual music set posted on WCRXFM'S YouTube page, in addition to being available via a podcast on Apple, Spotify, and Stitcher.

Ellie Mickey frequents at local open mics where she can. She has performed with 2x Grammy Winning Columbia College Alumni, Jonathan McReynolds (2025), performed on the Manifest Acoustic Kitchen stage (2024, 2025), and wrote the lyrics for Cicada, a BFA thesis short film by Yupu Luo (2025).

Geddy Trezak Band is a pop rock group from Hobart, IN. They offer a vintage sound designed and packaged for modern ears, even described as “something the world has been missing out on” by certain listeners. How do you burn the rain? We don't know. The Growing Boys is an alt-folk band from Chicago known for their tight harmonies and heartfelt lyrics that explore nostalgia, grief, and joy. Rain Garden is a four-piece alt-rock band born and raised in Chicago, IL. It emerged as a solo project in 2018 from the makeshift bedroom studio of vocalist/guitarist Miranda Dianovsky but has evolved over the years as longtime friends Vincent Byas, Harley Reid and Maya Halko joined and adapted the music to be played live.
