October was quite an eventful month for Happy Horror Time, so we’re taking a moment to welcome new subscribers and look back at all the interviews we released during spooky season. Tune in as we revisit our four recent conversations with “Halloween” franchise stars — Lance Guest (Halloween II), Kathleen Kinmont (Halloween 4), Ellie Cornell (Halloween 4 & 5), and Adam Arkin (Halloween H20) — and chat a bit about what’s to come.

From acting to directing, Adam Arkin has had an illustrious career spanning decades. But “Halloween” fans will always remember him as Will Brennan, the guidance counselor dating Laurie Strode/Keri Tate in “Halloween H20: 20 Years Later.” Tune in to hear all about making this 20th anniversary sequel, the line we always quote that he improvised, doing scenes with both Jamie Lee Curtis and her mother, Janet Leigh, and stories from his first venture into horror — 1981’s “Full Moon High.”

And after decades of putting Jason front and center, the newly released prequel series brings the spotlight back to his vengeful mother and the original killer, Pamela Voorhees. He later played Michael Brody in “Jaws: The Revenge,” facing a Great White that followed his family all the way to the Bahamas. Credited as the first gay slasher, 2004’s “Hellbent” took place at the beloved West Hollywood Halloween Carnival and helped pave the way for so many queer horror films to come. And if these movies have taught us anything, it’s that we’re perfectly fine keeping our feet on the ground. The ice cream man was always a little creepy, rolling around in a big white van and luring kids over with frozen treats. So a horror movie was inevitable (although the 1995 Clint Howard flick got there first).
