Recycled and Repackaged

Everything Old is New Again. There is nothing new under the sun as we kind of keep recycling information over and over. Yet it does seem to be brand new because it comes through different vessels and is heard by new ears. Kind of like a fresh coat of paint on some old paint, it just freshens it right back up. What goes around, comes around. You could have twenty different books saying, “be here now,” in twenty different ways. We are constantly processing the world around us. We can’t sit on anyone else’s perch. We understand and hear...
What's in a Label?

Boxing yourself and others in with labels as they can dehumanize us. While some labels are necessary on products but they are not helpful when used on people. When we lump people into a group, there can be no connection and then there is no compassion or empathy which diminishes the humanity. Even when we define ourselves, it can put a box around and stifle who we are. Blanket statements don’t work and only limit our view. When you understand somebody’s story and the root of their pain, you have compassion and unconditional love for them. Act as i...

Opening to the Mystery of Life

Can you be okay with not having the answers? We try to explain so many things in life, and so much of it is just a bunch of bull-crap!
Are you comfortable with silence? When we are still, we can feel into what is happening rather than talking about or explaining it. Opening to the mystery of life, the deepening. To exist is to change, to change is to mature, to mature is to go on creating oneself endlessly. Breathing a sigh of relief of not knowing. How exciting to not know what's next.

What's Your Poo Telling You

Talking about poop is often considered taboo in our culture, but it’s time we normalize this conversation! Our diverse styles of poop are like nature's colorful palette, with each hue and shape telling a unique story about your health and what’s brewing in your gut.
Your poo can serve as an indicator light, revealing what’s going on in your body. We have two brains: one in our head and another in our gut. There are many neurotransmitters in the gut, and 70% of your immune system resides in your belly. When your inner plumbing isn’t regula...
Embracing Our Changing Aging World

Changing the narrative as we age is what our podcast is all about. Our bodies and our mind does change as we get older. When we resist where we are at in life, it can cause suffering. We desire comfort so much because aging is a very mysterious process. To sit or be with discomfort, sadness or jealousy, we can more easily allow these challenging feelings to move through us rather then sticking to us. We can’t ever really know how someone else is feeling. Allowing someone to be in their own pain can be a grace.Â

Grow Yourself to Know Yourself

Aristotle said that getting to know yourself is the beginning of all wisdom. Anything in life is either growing or dying. It's part of the natural cycle of life. But what does this have to do with your own life?
We naturally want to eat more rooted winter vegetables as it grows colder and do more hibernating-type things. It's almost like an inward movement, the cooler weather as we wear warmer clothing and it gets dark earlier. It's a time for less doing and maybe more introspection.
When we get to midlife, sometimes we question...
Sweet Deception

Food is a form of healthcare. Today Dr. Eddi shares the hidden sugars in many of our foods and discusses how sugar creates acidity and causes inflammation. We also share healthy alternates for the sweet tooth in us all. The reason why we love the bun that comes with a take out burger is because it is loaded with sugar. If you cannot pronounce many of the ingredients on a package, your body probably probably doesn’t understand it either.
Can you switch to natural sodas? Make small changes consistently and soon you’ll be off sugar!
