Of course, you wouldn’t know it from the media, but today’s job report for September was actually quite strong; it continues the economic boom that I’m now calling the greatest story that should be told. Here’s some factoids you’re not gonna read about in the legacy media: the household employment survey from which the unemployment rate is derived, that survey shows a whopping gain of 406,000 jobs. There’s a 1.1 million increase in new entrants and a 975,000 increase in jobs.

All the headlines from Mr. Trump’s UN speech are focused on his prior statements warning Iran that they either make a deal or face annihilation. I believe annihilation refers to the regime. And he warned them not to focus on the midterm elections because he’s gonna be President for another two and a half years. So, in effect, Mr. Trump discounted the midterm elections, and took them off the table. A bad day for Iran.

With 43 days until the midterm election, the mainstream media may be hedging its bets about Democratic victory and Republican destruction. One of the first cracks in the armor is an NBC poll that shows Dems edging out Republicans 50% to 45% among registered voters. Looks like a nice lead but is it really? The story notes that it’s a lot slimmer edge than the 12 point lead Dems had in the 2018 cycle.

The NY Times is at it again with a long hit piece on the American economy and the dollar. Virtually every claim they make is factually wrong. I've got a couple numbers for you. Maybe the most important error in the NY Times piece was their failure to cite that 89% of foreign exchange trades are dollar based. Now if that isn't King Dollar, I don't know what it. And the principal stable coins are dollar denominated. And foreign investors have bought around $263 billion of treasuries over the past year, and these yields have gone up mostly because a strong...

First thing’s first, the Fed raised its target rate by a quarter of a point in Kevin Warsh’s quest to reduce the inflation rate he inherited from Joe Biden and Jay Powell, from over 3%, to at least 2%, and perhaps moving it toward zero. And then in the next 24 hours, financial markets applauded.

I’m surely not your run-of-the-mill expert on the frontiers of artificial intelligence. I have some sense of models, agents, and bots.
