In this episode, we are going to be laying the foundation of what eventually happened to the List family in 1971. In episode one of this Summer series, we are going to discuss the backstory of John Emi List and all of the inner workings of he and his family. This episode will go in depth into John’s parents, them eventually marrying and having a child. We will also be discussing John’s  childhood and the for formational years of somebody that would go on to become one of the most infamous family annihilators in history.

In September 2015 20 year-old college student Joseph Smedley went missing, well evidence that was left behind, suggested that Joseph left on his own. Nothing quite added up because this was very out of character for him. Things shifted shortly thereafter when his body was found. On Thanksgiving evening, November 28, 1985, there would be a deadly explosion at Hilltop Mobile Home Park at 7800 Jacksboro Highway between Lake Worth and Azle, Texas, just outside Fort Worth. The explosion would kill three members of the Blount family: Joe Blount, his daughter Angela, and Angela’s cousin, Michael Columbus. And to this day, what happened remains a mystery. This is the story of the Blount Family bombing.
