Cavalry tops the CPL table, Wild continue undefeated streak

We recap this weekend's action. Cavalry FC managed a 1-0 victory over Vancouver FC at Spruce Meadows on Saturday. Combined with a Forge loss, the Cavs now sit top of the table in the CPL. This is the first time this season they have done so where there have been no games in hand involved.

We recap last weekend's matches for Calgary's pro soccer clubs.  Cavalry FC handled Ottawa at Spruce Meadows winning 3-1.  In Montreal, the Wild extended their best run of form this season with a 2-2 against the Roses.

The university soccer season has crept up on us and the first edition of the Crowchild Classic will happen on Thursday.   The Dinos and Cougars men's sides will face off at McMahon on Thursday afternoon.  We briefly discuss the match.

In our weekend recap episode we discuss two thrilling matches from Saturday afternoon.  Cavalry FC faced Forge at Spruce Meadows in a first place clash and came up victorious thanks to a strike from Owen Antoniuk.  At McMahon Stadium, the Calgary Wild continued their impressive form and defeated the Ottawa Rapid to win their third consecutive match.  We break down both matches.

We review Calgary Wild's victory over CS Mont Royal Outremont in W Canadian Championship action. It was their first win in 2026 in their first appearance at Spruce Meadows.  

Both of Calgary's pro clubs are on the road with matches on Saturday.  Cavalry FC takes on Supra in Montreal while the Wild visit the Vancouver Rise.  We preview both matches.

We review both Cavalry FC and the Calgary Wild's matches from this weekend. Both matches featured blowouts. Cavalry FC were the victors in their 5-0 demolition of Inter Toronto. Meanwhile, the Wild sunk to a new low with a 6-0 loss at the hands of AFC Toronto.

Weekend Recap: Cavs lose close one in Hamilton, Wild allow 4 goals again

Cavalry FC travelled to Hamilton for a top of the table clash against Forge FC. It was another tight might in Steeltown but ultimately the Cavs unbeaten streak came to an end as they fell 1-0.

The Calgary Wild continued their home stand at MacWoman Stadium. The Wild suffered another 4-0 loss, this time to AFC Toronto. The Wild are now 6 points behind the teams nearest to them in the table. Lots of discussion about Calgary's two pro teams and the vastly different trajectories they are on this season.

Cavalry FC demolished Pacific FC last weekend and are now going to Hamilton for a top of the table clash with Forge on Sunday.

In our weekly recap episode we review action involving Calgary area clubs over the Victoria Day long weekend.

The Calgary Wild and Montreal Roses played to a 2-2 draw on Saturday at McWoman Stadium. The Wild picked up their first point of the season in dramatic fashion as hometown hero Mya Jones made a triumphant return from injury.
