LSAC is getting rid of the LSAT's experimental section. Starting with the August 2027 test, the unscored questions are mixed inside all 3 sections, and nobody tells you which ones count.

Reading Comp always goes first. Every section gets longer (52 minutes for Reading Comp, 45 for each Logical Reasoning section), and you get 2 breaks. The 77 scored questions, the time per question, and the 120 to 180 scale stay the same.

I've covered the government's moves on law school money and the ABA across a string of videos. This puts all of it in one place.

After the admissions files, the Justice Department opened a review of law school scholarships at William & Mary. It says it has reached no conclusions. The 509 reports show full rides were already down 23% from 2021 to 2025. And the ABA dropped its diversity rule, then got a 500-page report recommending it lose its power to accredit law schools anyway.

People ask me every day if they're too old for law school. I've answered it in a lot of videos and lives, and this puts the whole answer in one place.

No, you're not. Admissions committees ask whether you'll pass the bar, finish law school, and use the degree, and an older applicant can often answer all three better than a 22-year-old. On October 5, 2026, before the October LSAT, I posted 12 Reading Comp passages I thought LSAC would reuse. 4 came back on scored sections. A random 12 would have caught about 1. The other 56 passages on my list did no better than luck, and my 13 Logical Reasoning long shots went 0 for 13. A hit means the same passage, on a section that counted. I also ran my November rule as a backtest on the August, September and October 2026 tests (8 of 36, against about 2 for a random pick), and I'm upfront that it's flattered.

The Justice Department sent Duke Law a findings letter that quotes Duke's own admissions emails. An associate dean wrote "This is true." The letter also prints the median LSAT of applicants Duke rejected, a number law schools never publish. In 2025, the middle of the rejected Asian pool scored a 169. That's Duke's 25th percentile. On September 23, a federal panel votes on the ABA's power over law schools. This week, the University of Austin and the Federalist Society announced a law program that will never seek ABA accreditation. The panel weighs the Education Department staff's recommendation to stop recognizing the ABA as a law school accreditor. Texas and Florida already cut the ABA out of their bar rules this year.

On August 6th, 2026, the Justice Department told Duke Law that the median LSAT of the white and Asian applicants it rejected was higher than the median of the Black applicants it admitted. 34 days later it sent Berkeley Law a letter like it. In between, it opened a review of William and Mary's law school scholarships. I read the letters, the internal Duke emails they quote, and each school's answer, which I give you in full.
