Our franchise of the year comes to a close as it is on a crash course with spooky season. Dr. Corndog and Cap'n pop resurrect the Sigourney Weaver saga in the xenomorph infested franchise. Poptober is back and as always, we kick off this treat-or-treat filled month by brining the HEAT with a hot movie and a pipin' hot review fueld by Hot Ones Hot Sauce, sparked by the motivational words of some Twentieth Century Fox Marketing Guy back in the 2000s as he once famously said - "Megan Fox Hot". Things get a little nutty this year as we make the annual visit to the Disney Channel. Our DCOM wheel-o-movies landed on the The Proud Family Movie. It was the send off to the popular TV series that ran from 2001 to 2005 and it features the Proud family getting scammed into a trap vacation by the peanut obsessed Dr. Carver who is the descendant of the real life famous agricultural scientist and inventor - George Washington Carver voiced by Arsenio Hall. Crime rates are down and Marvel is back UP with Spider-man swinging through town. New York City's favorite web-head is here to give us everything we want in a Spider-man film. From Destin Daniel Cretton comes the box office (HULK) smash hit, Spider-man: Brand New Day. We find Spidey living with the results of his ultimate sacrifice from No Way Home. Peter Parker deals with a Punishing, and to be quite Frank, Castle-sized consequence from his multiversal mishap. But don't worry, because James & Nick are here to give Peter a brand new review and a friendly neighborhood dap up...

It's that time again to wake up from your cryo-sleep and... OH MY GOD! What the heck happened here? Where are my fellow Aliens cast-mates? What is going on?!?! Holy mother of a queen xenomorph, this is bad. Welp, time to buzz the hair and get back into some dark hallways, because here we go again....AGAIN. The Just Play It pod crashes onto Fiorina 161 to figure out just what is going on with the state of the Alien franchise after it fell to then new director, now goat - David Fincher. Surely, this will finally be the end...

Star Wars week comes a bit later this year courtesy of the first theatrical Star Wars movie to be released in 7 years. The Mandalorian and Grogu meet The Corn Dog and Cap'n Pop. Just Play It has a bounty on the Jon Favreau & Dave Filoni family fun adventure film so Nick and James bump the sickest Shakari synth track in the Razor Crest on the way to the theaters. The students become the masters in this one. James and Nick use the cosmic key to rift into 1987 to check out what was going on in the universe of Cannon Films. What they found was 80s movie gold in the form of oiled up muscles, convenient plot devices, and a furry little fella named Gwildor.
