The Tampa Bay Rays took the three-game series against the San Francisco Giants by taking the last game on Sunday 9-4. René Pinto came out with the game of the season by hitting two bombs on Sunday, including his big three-run shot against Blake Snell to put the game on ice and end Snell’s outing at the Trop. The Tampa Bay Rays took their first win of their three-game series against Los Angeles Angels 6-4. Aaron Civale allowed a two-run bomb to Mike Trout in the first inning but settled down and that would be the only time he would get hurt by the Angels. The Tampa Bay Rays took a tough loss 7-1 to start their three-game series against Los Angeles Angels. Zach Eflin struggled to fool the top of the lineup as both Anthony Rendon and Mike Trout combined quickly to put the Angels on top early. This tough outing extended as Eflin would allow five runs in five innings. Jacob Waguespack came in to relieve Eflin but would surrender two more runs while pitching three innings. The Tampa Bay Rays took their first series win of the season by taking the last two of the three-game series against the Colorado Rockies. All games were closer than expected by Rays fans as there were multiple lead changes. The Tampa Bay Rays will be heading on a six-game road trip stopping first in Colorado and then Anaheim. On Friday evening Zack Littell will take the mound for the Rays and his first start he was incredible, providing six innings of shutout baseball and striking out six against the Toronto Blue Jays. The Tampa Bay Rays lost the third game of a three-game series against the reigning World Series champions, Texas Rangers 4-1 and lost the series. Aaron Civale was impressive on Wednesday afternoon allowing only 4 hits, 1 run (a Corey Seager solo shot in the 6th inning) and 8 strikeouts over 6 innings pitched. Yandy Díaz, Harold Ramírez and Curtis Mead contributed with hits but it wasn't enough as Nate Eovaldi threw 7 shutout innings allowing 4 hits. A late rally would not prove fruitful for the Rays after the Rangers rallied in the 9th scoring 3 runs off lefty reliever Garret Cleavinger.

The Tampa Bay Rays won the middle game of a three-game series against the reigning World Series champions, Texas Rangers 5-2. Zach Eflin took his performance from the sixth inning on Opening Day in his rear view as he was dominating, allowing only 5 hits, 1 run and 5 strikeouts over 6.1 innings pitched. Randy Arozarena, Yandy Díaz, Harold Ramírez and Curtis Meas contributed with key hits. However, none was bigger than the three-run bomb hitting the left field foul pole by Isaac Paredes.
