On Monday night’s I’ve been doing a show called Recruit Intel with Kchris Griffin from the horns down podcast that is a youtube livestream Q&A. Previously I’ve not made that content available to my audio podcast listeners.
However, on the show we’re doing more player reviews/discussions so I wanted to make an audio replay available for those interested in more recruiting content and looking for more discussion type content.

With HS football starting up, we're starting to see recruiting return from the dead period slumber of late July/August. OU has made a new offer for 2029 at WR. Offering Jaedon White from South Carolina. And in some 2027 rumors, OU is evaluating a possible target in Alabama DB Julian McDonald.

OU has changed up their strategy about unofficial visitors for game weekends. With the new scouting staff, OU has the personnel to enhance the efficacy of these visits and we saw OU do that to great success in 2027. The New Mexico game starts these efforts this fall for the 2028 class and we take a look at 5 critical confirmed visitors for the 9/19 weekend.

OU is looking at various WR targets for 2028 to fill a potential 4 player WR class. OU has commit predictions for two bigger WRs and likely has a lead on a 3rd. Adding a speed WR in the class seems like a priority and we're featuring two prospects that fit that need. WR Kenyon Sweat from Cache OK and DJ Tubbs from California powerhouse St. John Bosco.

OU makes a large amount of offers for 2028 in spring & summer. Often, those offers are highly rated/ top 100 type players. And initially the returns might seem positive. It's now late summer and at some point unlike Jim Carrey’s character in Dumb and Dumber we need to realize OU has no shot. It's not all bad news, alternatively there a group of prospects where OU still has a shot.

New RB coach is perhaps the biggest change in the RB recruiting process. Deland McCullough seems to have a different eye at RB than DeMarco Murray. Bigger power backs seems to be bias. We review the potential 2027 RB depth chart, then try to project a 2028 RB depth chart. Finally, we end on a quick review of 2028 RB targets.
